Super cheap and easy standing restaurant! Soba with vegetables was only 410 and the “regular” size curry was massive, coming in at only 490. Taste wise was a bit average, but the price and speed are unbeatable. Plus they’re open from the morning, so grabbing an early lunch here is doable.

I particularly enjoy Japanese curry; and this place has definitely got curry right. They add a bit of kick to it which is perfect in my opinion, a deviation from the norm. I went with the cheap 390 yen mini plate. With the enclosed space of the bus terminal I was sweating so much at the end of the meal! Stand and eat, move on. self serve water. Fast food level service, cheap and good eats.

Whenever I’ve walk pass the bus terminal, there always a long queue at this store. I decided to give it a try. I have order a mini plate curry rice which cost only 380 yen. The curry cook with onions and some pork. I can taste that they also put some spices to the curry, but not just purely curry powder. Niigata is famous for rice so this two make a good combinations. In addition, the price for it is cheap and no wonder so many people queue up for it.

I was told the curry rice here is famous. So I went to try it. There is a small queue to order. They serve the food very fast. You need to find a place to stand and eat. The place seems to be crowded all the time. So finding a place to eat could be time consuming. Water is also available for drinking. For some reason they don't want anyone to photograph their shop. I hope they won't get angry at me.

Mini Curry rice doesn't look Mini. It's quite filling. Simple plain looking but it spicy. Delicious. Standing on table to eat your meal as people come and go quickly. Busy bus interchange. Simple quick meal. Price is good. ¥420

This place has been loved by local people for many years, and the curry rice was very famous as their soul food. This was my first experience at the place and I was excited too much, but it was just okay to me. I ordered the curry rice with a larger portion. However, it was too much. I found out the regular size was just enough for most of people, I think. To me feel like the curry was not that special as everybody talk. Little bit overrated, but the price was very low and it would be worth trying if you haven’t tried it yet.

Casual curry stand in the Niigata's largest bus terminal. The stand offeres Soba and Udon noodles but it seems the yellow curry is the speciality of this stand. Spicy and reasonable priced, also good for quick bite, it will be served within 10 sec. No car parking, no chair, high chair or stool, just bar tables, a ticket vending machine is available, no English menu, cash only.

They are offering the curry bowl with which Japanese are familiar in their childhood. This type of curry are provided by the school lunch, so that the most of Japanese feel nostalgic feeling, when they eat it.
