For a Brazilian Churrasco experience this gets 5 stars. Endless meat, endless salads, all sorts of side dishes, all of great quality. You'll be carried out of here in a stretcher.

Amazing bbq buffet! The meat is so tender and delicious. We went before sunset and the views of sugar loaf mountain are awesome and the sunset was so beautiful. Expensive but super super super tasty!

One of the best place to have rodizio in Rio with Sugarloaf view. The meat was amazing. After rodizio we had sorbete(ice cream) and coffee. Well happy about the service and it only cost us £102 for 2 people. I will definitely recommend it.

First you must ask for a table outside the views are stunning from the outside sitting. Be ready to eat a lot of meat. The meat was very flavorful and they had so many options to choose from. The fried cheese was great and so was the salads. The fried onions is a must have as well. The creme brulee was out of this world and they give you all 3 options.

I’ve been to a number of Brazilian restaurants and steakhouses, and this is by far one of the best. Quality of food and service unmatched! Especially Thallyne as she really went above and beyond and made every effort for us to enjoy, if I would come back it’d be for sure because of Thallyne’s attitude and amazing service!

I loved the beach side view of this place. It's a great location and perfect for a romantic dinner. They didn't bring a menu but just brought polenta fries and skewers of meat and you pick what you want. It's not cheap, but for a nice evening it was really perfect. It was easy to get a cab to and from the location as well.

This place is a must see in Rio. The Picañha, beef rib and the pork rib with chicharron did it for me. Oh, by the way this location has an amazing view. Especially at nightime. The desserts are killer. Specifically the papaya pudding. If you're on a diet, you shouldn't come here, lol. Great service all around.

I can't speak to the food experience as I just had drinks here. Old fashioned was very weak, made again, same story. Was filled to the top of a wine glass. Odd. The setting is amazing, with great decor and build quality of the restaurant. Beer cost was more than the U.S. I think the drink menu could use more focus I suppose. Happy for the San Pellegrino. The setting is amazing. With a beautiful view and great decor interior. Service was not very good. But I'd like to give the place another try when I am sitting down to eat.

Best meat I've ever had in my life, i needed a stretcher to carry me out of here after the unstoppable amount of meat from every single part of the cow kept coming to my plate. The wine was from chille, a very nice acidic red to cut through the richness of the meats. Expensive, 2 bottles of wine and 4 people all you can eat was roughly £260...but so so worth it.

One of the best places for Brazilian barbecue in Rio. Gladly surprised. We visited searching for a place for My daughter’s graduation party. It will be there! A little bit on the expensive side, but we’ll served. Highly recommended

Awful experience at this restaurant tonight! Despite being half empty, with at least 20 servers on the floor, the service was horrible! The staff is rude, they were full on laughing at us in Portuguese, and only stopped when i asked what was so funny. They then proceeded to send the ring leader of laughter over with a make shift receipt. I still don't know what the actual price is, they could have charged me anything. at patrons and do not communicate in advance what charges are included and what aren't included. I would have refused the service charges if I had the opportunity and if I could speak Portuguese. The food was lackluster, the meat was the only thing that had salt. It's definitely not worth the price or hype.

Ar the moment One of the best Churrascarias in Brazil and the world. Service, Meat Quality and other first courses and dessert variety simply amazing fresh and tasty. Hope they manage to keep up this very high quality.

It’s a trap. Worst rodizio in Rio (quality/price wise) by far. There’s no even a real buffet For the price you pay (over 200 reais per person) you should get excellent meat quality and of course well prepared. Both aspects were lacking, a few cuts were acceptable and one was good, but the rest were either not memorable or simply bad (stayed in the plate, just see picture). They did not explain anything, I had to ask several times for the side dishes I had ordered and felt basically abandoned. Some examples, 3 times asked for ice cubes for the drink and another 3 times for a fried banana. I will not return and definitely will not recommend.

Exclusive, expensive, excellent service, very good food. Great location and fabolus view. A little stiff and clearly for business and resourceful clientel. The Tomahawk meat was the best I ever had.

I went here for my 30th birthday with 6 other people. We were seated promptly and the service started. They had a little trouble with drinks but nothing huge. The food and service was great. The garlic bread was really good. We even tried new foods chicken hearts but I personally wasn't a fan lol. We had a great experience

Great service! The waiters were all so kind and accommodating. The meats were of great quality. I liked that they brought the salad bar options on a cart rather than having to stand in at a buffet.

I saw really good things about this place online so I had high expectations when I went and they did not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing. So many options that just kept coming. I love that you don’t have to leave your table for anything because they bring everything to you. Their fried banana was one of my favorite sides! I felt like I had to wobble out the door because I ate so much food. I usually take tons of pictures for my reviews but I was so busy eating I only got 1.

The restaurant is very large - many tables inside and outside the building, so I think it is a good place for planned larger events. We sat outside wanting to enjoy the charm of a warm evening and the view of the sugar mountain. Unfortunately, we came across an hour-long dance and music show, which may have been an attraction for others, but we couldn't talk, and the constant beating of the drums gave me a headache. The service was nice, some of the staff understood English. We used the Rodizio option so we could test different types of meats all the time. That's a plus. However, the side dish buffet was poor. Meat was good but not wow. Juices were diluted. In general Rodizio option is nice, but here was much overpriced. I would come back for baby beef steak only, but not for Rodizio. They automatically add a 13% tip to the bill.

Good variety and quality of non stoo meat. Delicious side dishes. Desert are very good also. The price however is very high.

RIO'S #1 INSTITUTION!!!! For all you carnivores, look no further! The best meat selection is there. I would recommend going there for lunch and skip dinner as food doesn't stop until you're full. If you like coconut, try the Batida de coco

Live and learn - if they suggest a bottle of wine, be sure to ask the price before they crack into it. I know this sort of viscerally, but this time it slipped past. Our group included two Americans, two Brazilians, and an Argentinian. I provide this info because we wanted to order a wine from Argentina. The wait staff presented a bottle from a winery that was familiar to our Argentine guest - so we said yes. This is a USD $65 bottle in the store. Later, we asked for a different bottle priced around R$310. The waiter came back and said they were out, but had a couple of comparable backups. I didn’t ask the price, figuring they’d be in the same range. When the bill came, it was R$4,100. The first bottle of wine was R$1,700. The second R$850. (FYI - Exchange rate at time off review is 5/1) Should I have known to ask? Yes. Should they have done this? Well, not if they didn’t want me to share it on social and promise to never return. Anyway, nice job jerks! One and done. Thanks for the lesson. Oh, and the meat was fine.

WOW is all I can say. Food is amazing super delicious and tasty. The Food and Service is worth six stars. They pay attention to every little details.

Great meat, we sat outside which was nice. The salad buffet comes to you on a very squeaky trolly, it keeps coming back, not sure this works but the idea is that unlike other similar places the food comes to you rather than you going to the buffet. I think I prefer going to the buffet. Staff excellent, service excellent…

Varanda is the place to be for the great views of Pao de Acucar. The best way to discover Brazilian rodizio at its best quality. Extremely nice staff.

I have visited many good places but I have never made a review. This time i felt i have to make one. This is by far the best restaurant experience I had in my entire life. Amazing quality and quantity but be careful of the prices!. Overall it was worth every penny for both the food, the service, the view etc etc. A MUST visit in Rio if you are a churraskareia lover, this is just next level!

Amazing food and Brazilian experience. The staff is very friendly and some also speak a bit of English. It’s a bit different to other churrasco places that we have been to. There was no buffet but even the side dishes were brought to your table. The meat was excellent, great variety and quality. Nice views as well. Highly recommend Assador Rio for a good churrasco in Rio! 😊
