Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Woramahawihan 、。。 Wat Phra Si Mahathat was built when Field Marshal Plaek Pibulsongkram was Prime Minister .. The Cabinet had agreed to build and name it as Democracy Temple .. During the construction, Rear Admiral Thawal Thamrong Navaswadhi went to India to ask for the Lord Buddha’s relics, five branches of the Bhodi and some soil from the place where the Lord Buddha attained his enlightenment to keep in this temple .. Hence, the temple was later named as Wat Phra Si Mahathat 、。。 Good Temple 、。。 เป็นวัดคู่กองทัพอากาศมาช้านาน 、。。 และจะอยู่คู่กองทัพอากาศต่อไปอีกนาน 、。。

Important temple in Bang Khen district of Bangkok. Originally named the Democracy Temple, to commemorate the introduction of democracy in Thailand.

Small pagoda in Lak Si. Quiet and good time in here. There are canals for fishes and turtle. You can treat and they are hungry so much

Updated October 2023. Still as I wrote below. Always quite busy as popular with both locals and visitors. Two large ponds with fish and food available to feed them. Watch out for the pigeons. Easy access from BTS. Plenty parking spaces. Large temple with park area. Plenty vendors. Main temple for paying respect is very serene and peaceful.

A big Budish temple in Bangkhane area. A white pagoda is a landmark for this temple. The area is well designed. Canals, ponds, and tress are well located. An area for funreal is on the side of the temple. Nowadays, it is easy to go to the temple because a BTS station is just in a walking distance.

It’s a huge complex, White Pagoda is the main attraction. It’s very busy. People are meditating, monks are blessing. Sit for a moment with eyes closed, I am sure you will find peace and serenity inside you. Enjoy that moment.

Beautiful temple! Very calm, hardly anyone there. It also has a nice beautiful park and lake you can walk around. A couple of food stalls. The main attraction is the big beautiful white stupa with a golden one inside. I took time to meditate. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 No entrance fee. Be respectful

Not a typical tourist sight but very interesting. Worth a visit but 🤫... do not attract the tourist masses to this place. You can visit the site for free but I think to donate something is appropriate.

Very beautiful and modern. For walks and for funerals. Price a bit high but worth it for good management a clenliness. The creamation process was a bit rushed and they did not give us time to say goodbye to the guests. Other than that, wonderful. It was so large, almost like a funeral complex.
