When I first heard about this place I believed it was a crocodile farm. However, it turns out it was a zoo where animals were made to do tricks for entertainment. The elephants in the picture are chained to the ground with small chains. Sadly I am unable to upload videos of the elephant show for this review. The elephants were trained to reach out there trunk to recieve money from the audience and give it to their trainers who pocketed the money. I highly doubt that money went to looking after the animals as the cages were very baron. Most enclosures were concrete with some water, others had a dried out log or some sand if the animals were lucky. I'll give them credit one enclosure I saw, for a tiger, actually had some grass and a tree. Overall a very sad experience, the animals looked sad and often had scars, some of the turtles shells were sunken. Ivory was also sold with many of the elephants not having tusks, photos of this was not allowed.

The Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo is a crocodile zoo in Samut Prakan Province, Thailand. The park claims to hold the world's largest crocodile in captivity, named Yai, measuring 6 m and weighing 1,114 kg. Yai is one among over 100,000 crocodiles at the farm. The world’s largest crocodile zoo is located 10 kilometres from Bangkok and is dedicated to the education and preservation of animals, especially crocodiles. At the Farm you can also see elephants, tigers, lions, monkeys, horses and hippos. There are daily crocodile shows where performers can be seen doing tricks like putting their heads and arms inside the crocodile’s mouth. You can also enjoy Elephant shows as they walk on tight ropes, ride skateboards and dance. I was very disappointed in the apparent low quality of care the animals reviewed. It has been a year since I've been so hopefully it has improved.

I don't know is it due to pandemic or some other reason but the place is left to rot. No maintenance or cleaning is done. The animals look withered and depressed. There were hardly 10 people inside the facility. The crocodile show was ok and that was about it. Looks like it has been out of business for years. Some cages broken and empty. Absolutely dangerous and unsupervised for kids or mentally unstable people as they can easily jump in the crocodile pits. It's dead. Seeing the place like that is really depressing. I feel bad to say but the place needs to shutdown and move the animals where they can have a better life. Also double pricing even though you are not legally a tourist. I paid 350 baht to witness the wreckage of whatever is left. The toilets where absolutely disgusting. I've seen better ones in a truckers stop in middle of no where. The worst thing was the lone elephant chained to a pole with a very short chain but very easily accessible and open. A kid could just run to it if left unsupervised and get killed as there was no barrier around the beast but a mieger chain around the ankle. The poor beast looked very distressed and hungry. I beg the concerned authorities to free the animals held within the facility. Most of the buildings are there collecting dust. This place is dead.

It's really sad inside the crocodile farm, it looks old and worn seem to lack of maintenance. It looks like the farm has been prosperous before. But what is visible is the deterioration of the building, even the animals in the farm. It seems that there is a lack of serious care, of course, that the population of animals is reduced as well. Although on the day of my visit, a lot of tourists poured in to visit the crocodile show. It also does not help to get more care. Although the ticket collection is a large number of foreign tourists. The farm really has a lot of crocodiles. From the size of the incubation to the colossal. I hope that when I visit again next time, the farm will be changed in a good way, because it looks really disappointing if it does not develop. It is also popular with foreigners, especially Chinese people.

Never expected to come here, not s big fan of zoo, but this place need all the help you can, is a reality there be zoo as much there be curiosity, i never seen animals so close, they look fake. Tigers, monkeys, and the famous crocodiles show, is worth coming, just make sure to wrap 50 baht with some coins to help this people out, they doing all they can. Westernes might not get this, but chinese will, there many sings in chinese and some people can speak chinese, so you can come and enjoy, go ride elephant give tip to the elephant too, they need eat a lot, so do the people who take care of them, and i don't see them punishing the beast so is okay. Help this place get better so it grows into a nice place for animals and people. Make sure you keep your grab driver, or take the blue bus out of here, because taxi are few and far bettewn.

Samutprakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo in Bangkok, Thailand is a crocodile zoo, considered one of the largest crocodile farms in the world. There are more than 100,000 crocodiles at the farm, beside a sizable number of other animals like elephants, lions, tigers, monkeys, pigmy horses and hippos. Daily crocodile and elephant shows are held in the farm which offer thrill and excitement to the visitors. The farm is about 20 km away from city center of Bangkok and is easily approachable through metro, bus and taxi. A visit to Bangkok cannot be considered complete without a visit to the Crocodile Farm.

This place is disgusting and inhuman. Just attending a place like this is so inhuman if you care about animals you will do your best efforts to get this place shutdown and the animals relocated. Always look into where you going and if it’s a sanctuary or somewhere that exploits innocent animals and forces them to perform. This is so so so wrong don’t be selfish just because you want to see wild animals close up. This isn’t the way make a difference be the change get this place closed.

It's a crocodile and local zoo with an elephant and crocodile show. The elephant show was cute and croc show was interesting. They perform roughly every hour. The main, large croc pond was the best part. You can buy chicken to feed the crocs, so to watch the crocs swim and act like in the wild is mesmerizing. The zoo was kinda depressing, malnourished animals, and concrete floors for most of the exhibits.

DO NOT GO TO THIS ZOO!!! they extremely abuse the poor animals in the place and do not care about them. These animals need freedom, and to be fed and looked after, not stabbed and chained up. A zoo is not a tourism destination. All these places need to be shut down. The people at this zoo are killing these animals and their health is deteriorating. You are supporting animal cruelty and encouraging these disgusting Thai people to continue torturing these harmless animals who are prisoners. I can’t believe I’m reading comments of people who have gone here on a ‘family day putting’. I would rate zero stars if I could, I have not been to this zoo. I have read numerous reports and travelled Thailand and know what these criminals are doing in these places. I pray that these animals are put out of their misery soon.

I wouldn't do it again. The animals all appear disturbed and are chained, even the parrots. The crocodile show was not only disturbing but bordered on animal cruelty and the enclosures are far too small for the animals. I don't recommend it to you!

It's an interesting place with a lot of crocodiles. You can see here a cool Crocodile show and so-so elephant show. A good thing about the elephant show is you can take pictures with the elephants. There also a lot of monkies, a few tigers, sheep... It's a pretty old place and it's not very attractive. But there aren't a lot of people and I really like it.

It was great experience. I can see things I can’t see outside Thailand. The crocodile show was super interesting. Everything in this zoo is good but I expected it to be cleaner. And one more thing, they should provide map for tourists, it’s difficult to get the best out of this zoo if you don’t have a good map. Many facilities are old, they should be repaired and made cleaner.

They have all kinds of crocodiles to show, but the presentation of the farm could be better. At the entrance instead of showing you their big and impressive pond with giant crocodiles, they show you all the disabled crocodiles which is very weird. They also have other things other than crocodiles such as birds, goat, caged monkey. They have crocodile show that totally tailored for Chinese tourists. It's a bit lame to see all the Chinese tourists throwing money on the floor for the performers to pick up like poor hobos.

It’s not bad for a zoo in Bangkok. It’s just not well maintained for the past several years. The crocodile show has been more or less the same since I was a kid. It amazes new kids though. The place would be much better and more competitive if it continuously improves or innovates. It could then demand for higher price. Most animals are very already interesting and attractive by themselves.

(Translated by Google) If going back more than ten years ago Who asked where Samut Prakan was good to go? Will answer here at the first place But the deterioration comes over time. At present, tourists are still falling. Haven't visited for very long Just got to go again, last Sunday, until 9 o'clock, the parking lot is still open. If it was in the past, it was already crowded. Inside, there are still animals to look like before. The highlight would be the show with crocodiles. That is called the same sensitivity In addition, there are also many animals, including monkeys, elephants, birds, tigers, bears, and hippos. And many other animals If asked if still worth traveling or not Still can go But it might look old, look a bit worn, maybe need a little bit of adjustment. But there was a lot of drama in the past that the animal was thin, starved some food, some dirty water, and if acting in the middle, it was not that bad. I want you to try and see with your own eyes. Though this place is a bit rundown compared to the last time I was here 7 years ago, it was still a great place to take my kids to see and even interact with animals. Foreigners/farang prices to enter are 350 baht for an adult and 250 baht for children. Not sure how much Thai citizens pay but I'm sure its significantly less. There are baby and adult tigers and monkeys you can hold/feed and take pictures with. My kids fed and took pics with a juvenile tiger and it cost me 200 baht for the set up and the printed pic. They also allow you to take as many pictures with your cell phone as you'd like. The crocodile wrestling show and elephant show are huge highlights to this park. It's crazy how much implied risk these men take to handle the crocodiles! You can take pics with the crocodiles up close for 200 baht which again included picture taking by the park and as many cell phone pics as you'd like. You can also ride elephants here though the rode is very short (5 minutes maybe?). Adults are 50 baht and children 30 baht. The "driver" stops frequently to allow for pictures along the way which is cool. Just remember to tip him at least 20 baht for his trouble. There are a bunch of snack stands around the park, but hidden in the middle of the park in a building with no signage is the Hard Croc Cafe. You can eat crocodile in a variety of ways...but my kids and I weren't adventurous enough to do so. We stuck to the regular Thai fare. The souvenir shop is where you can buy a variety of croc skin or body part items. Wallets, bags, croc head keychains, even taxidermied crocs, can be purchased here. Before you do so please make sure that you are legally able to do so in your home country.

Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo I visited this Zoo many times while living in Samrong, Samut Prakan. It’s a great day out and so much to see here. Founded in 1950 by the famous Crocodile King , Mr. Utai Youngprapakorn, this is the country’s first crocodile farm and the world’s largest crocodile farm with varied types of more than 60,000 crocodiles living here. Mr. Utai has been the pioneer not only to preserve the endangered species from extinction, but also to provide a continuing flow of Crocodile skins and related products to the world market. Here at Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm & Zoo, they are dedicated to the education, preservation, research and the conversation of wildlife. Convenient to reach as it’s located in Tambon Tai Ban or three kilometres from Samut Prakan. The daily shows feature the crocodile catching with hands, which take place every hour from 9 am-5 pm ( noontime schedule is available only on holidays ) and crocodile feeding available at 4:30-5:30 pm. If you’re here for the elephants, there is elephant show held daily every hour from 9:30am-4:30pm as well. Otherwise, there are plenty of the animals in the zoo, such as tigers, chimpanzees, gibbons, turtles, boa constrictors, pythons, birds, camels, hippopotamuses, and numerous species of fishes. For those who like dinosaur, the Dinosaur Museum is definitely worth the visit as the museum displays more than 13 kinds of the life-size dinosaur models and skeletons. Seat yourself to watch the multi-vision slide presentation on human and prehistoric animals. The tour groups or academic groups can request for a tour guide in advance through the farm. Visitors to the crocodile farm can see a wide variety of animals other than crocodiles, including elephants, lions, tigers, monkeys, horses and hippos. There are daily crocodile shows, famous for the performers doing tricks such as putting their heads and arms inside a crocodile's mouth. Elephant shows display the dexterity of elephants as they walk tightropes, ride skateboards and dance. Visitors may also take short elephant ride, ride a train, enjoy a paddle boat ride or explore the dinosaur museum. Admission for non Thai adults is 300 Baht. Admission for children is 200 Baht. Thai nationals pay 60 Baht admission. Foreign looking residents of Thailand still pay 300 Baht. The Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm is located at 555 Moo 7 Taiban Road, Taiban Sub-District, Amphur Muang, Samut Prakan, Thailand. Opening hours are from 8:00 A.M. through 6:00 P.M. daily. Experience the thrilling world famous Crocodile Wrestling & Acrobatic Elephant stage shows, where the audience is invited to participate. Discover a photographer’s paradise along the Zoo’s shady walkways while coming face to face with the exotic animals here. Relive the past at the newest attraction, The Dinosaur Museum , where the past comes to life. Ride a Elephant or a Camel, relax on the lake on a pedal boat, monkey around on the playground, test your skills at the shooting range or ride aboard the Zoo’s mine train for a sight seeing trip around the park. Join in the weekend Sunday concerts. Savour the taste of Thailand at any of the Dining Arcades. Picture yourself with a crocodile, a Elephant or a Tiger and wear a Tee shirt with the picture on as a souvenir. Shop for memories, or even for Crocodile leather or fish skin handbags, belts, shoes & more.( Certificates available with purchase ) The Croc. shop means you can take it with you. So make sure you visit, the Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo for a great day out.

(Translated by Google) See, sometimes it's sad. We have been traveling here with my family since I was a kid until now I am 30 and have 1 child and feel that it is very lonely. Even though it was a lot of people before Things all seem so excited. Unfortunately, I want a lot of people to come. Owner will have money to renovate We love it here. Know it's very lonely But is the place that we choose to visit on our birthday There is no interest, but we have good memories here with our family so I want it to last a long time. It's a place that makes us really like crocodiles. Even though I'm not supposed to like it, hahahahaha, please go through COVID and stay for a long time. The show may not be as exciting as when we were young. But I feel fun every time I watch it (Original)

I've been to this so called 'zoo' There was a grown chimpanzee, chained up, dressed in baby clothes with a woman next to it who had a stick which she used to hit the poor creature. I could hardly believe my eyes - that this cruelty still takes place in today's world.

PLEASE DONT GO HERE !!! the sight of starving and depressed animals and birds who are chained ,neglected and forced to entertain us was very terrible and saddening for my family, especially my kids. We enjoy seeing these animals but after we all are gone these animals are tortured and suffer just to take a selfie or entertain us. They dont belong here, Please DON'T PROMOTE ANIMAL CRUELTY!

👍 If you like seagulls this is the place. Heaps of them. You can buy some feeds to give them. Cark parking is outside just before the bridge. You can walk to the end and go get some food for yourself and the birds. The seafood is excellent. If you don’t like seafood they have other dishes as well. I r...
