This has always been one of our favorite riverfront restaurant while living in Bangkok. Now that we were back for holidays, we decided to revisit Samsen and wasn’t disappointed. All dishes were tasty and pairs great with their frosty ice cold beer. Menus are alittle pricey but that comes with the quality and ambience.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, staff were great. We sat by the river side but the surface next to my seat was dusty. I kept accidentally put my elbow on it and wiped off the dust. Prices are also on the high side.

The scenery and view is impressive. Its a bit hot if you sit outside but still okie. There are tons of menu and its yummy. Beer is super cool and make all environment more chilled. The price is affordable but some of menu quite pricey. Reservation via phone call better made before arrival since sometimes its crowded. The service is OK. Some of them looks busy and not really in the mood to provide service. i was calling for the menu and she just replied with hard voice that im busy! 🤨

TLDR: good for group of adults, great meat ok vegetables, poor eggs. Location: you need a car. Even grab car might not want to get there. The entrance is wheelchair accessible but we aren't sure about the second floor. Parking is large but there are a lot of cars. Env: on river bank with optional air-conditioning rooms. A little loud with live music. So not recommended for small children. The band plays 90s Thai pop. They were great. Rest rooms are disrepair but clean with slight but noticeable odor. The place looks better at night than the day. The place winds down around 8pm so you don't need reservation if you arrive later than that. Food: Meat dishes are great. Vegetables and fish are good but not great. Vegetables were a little overbooked before being fried bit still OK. Avoid eggs though because they are oily so we just discard it after a few bites. Rice is a little hard, very likely from last year's harvest. Service: all staff are friendly. They clean up the tables very fast. The food takes about 30 minutes to arrive from order to last dish. Price: we ordered a dish of pork ribs, serloin with fried onion. fish soup, vegetables, scramble eggs, alcohol free beer, water, 2 plates of rice, and 2 croissants. it cost two of us a bit over 2000 THB after 10% service charge.

Very cozy , clean, comfortable, good view, wonderful services with delicious variety of flavors and style of foods. We came as family of four and shared special trio grill prawns(creamy with great seafood sauce), ปลาหมึกแดดเดียว(yummy), pork knuckles(crunchy and flavorful but prefer if it would be not cut into slices),lad Naa Jay(huge and delicious),ผักสี่สหาย(great), ทอดมันปลา(delicious), big bowl of jasmine rice(nicely done), lemon sodas (a bit too sweet of the base and had to dilute more with soda to balance the taste), generous with lime slices when asked for side order of that. Attentive friendly staff with very fast delivery of dishes. It was early dinner time and about 60percent occupancy so was impress with how foods came out in good timing. Desserts just vanilla ice cream(prefer plain not with sauce) and บัวลอยเพือก(ok). Nice lighting to the night time seating that can enjoy the serenity of the beautiful ChaoPraya river. The villa is not too oversized and nicely layout with boat docks. Feels like a little marina. Next time will have to try some other scrumptious dishes from n the menu. Over all pleasant and relaxing delicious dining experience. Music was not too loud so one can have conversations without shouting.

Good seafood. The prawn is fresh. I also like the fried mushrooms salad. Not too spicy

The food is great, the location basically looks cool. Unfortunately they don’t care about all the garbage swimming next to the restaurant. It is literally messed up. Also it’s way overpriced in comparison to most places in Bangkok and the close neighbourhood! Seems like profit comes over taking care about our environment.

In terms of taste and food selections, the original one near Samsen Train Station is more preferable. The Life is great with river view and breeze. Parking is plenty inside the yacht club. River prawns were not quite fresh though. Omelette was one of the best dishes so far.

Such a lovely evening... had the most Devine food, drinks and view. Truly a splendid night!

The great atmosphere restaurant, with a lot of signature dishes. Some dishes need more extra time but mostly are take a little bit time. The beer are wonderful served with very chill in every bottles. We came with young children so inside the building are the great choices because of a lot of mosquitoes outside. The servers are very pleasant and very good take care and helpful.

Good restaurant by the river with both car and boat parking area. Delicious food, friendly staffs, quick service, nice view of the river. Seats are available both open air and air conditioned room.

Very nice in- and outdoor seating aside the river. Wonderfully presented menu with plenty of interesting and some unique choices for everyone’s liking. Service reasonable but opinionated. Pricing is reasonable but certainly not cheap. Nice place to entertain guests. Ample carparking available.
