👍 Good roof top bar to watch Wat Arun at sunset. However, since the place is small, it’s pretty cramped/crowded during sunset hours. People often mention view, Arun, sunset, good, drinks, great, views, river, spot, Drinks,

Nice place and view at the top of a winding staircase. The view is nice and if it had been closer to sunset I think it would have been great. Today was a Big Buddha day (holiday) so no alcohol, only mock tails. They do not serve full meals, just finger food. The fries felt baked, not fried. The were hot and not a lot of salt. The nachos (chips with a little melted cheese) were pretty good. The chips were very light/airy. Both mock tails were delicious, but I would have preferred it with alcohol. Maybe next time. Staff was attentive and welcoming.

A cute little rooftop bar by the river with a spectacular view of Wat Arun. I was there for a couple of drink to enjoy the sound & light show at the opposite of the river and fireworks! If you are around here in December, you'll get to see it too. It's a perfect place to enjoy these shows with a good drink

Great little “secret” bar - to get to it, you have to enter through a hotel (of a different name), then walk up several flights of stairs to get to the rooftop. Amazing views of Wat Arun on one side and Wat Pho at the back of the bar. Drinks prices higher than most places, but then again, you’re paying for the view. This is a small place - if you want to get there in time for viewing Wat Arun at sunset, then you need to arrive as early as 4:30! Food menu is small plates only (snacking), which was fine with a beer! We had some satay which was fresh and tasty.

A lovely rooftop bar with a stunning view of the river on one side and a temple on the other side. Unique, incredible! Go there before sunset, then stay until it is dark, see the sunset from the deck. Drinks are reasonably priced. Cocktails are good as well.

Celebrated my birthday there it was lovely . The view was great. Food and drinks were good. Only downside was that it was packed and the service was a little slower but the quality of the food was awesome and the waiters come when you wave to them. The place is a bit small so every second someone is taking a photo and blocking the view so wasn’t able to enjoy the view as much so I will def go back and arrive early around 4pm otherwise it would be hard to find a front seat to the view. Overall great place.

Best place to relax and chill.. great lit up views of Wat Pho and Wat Arun across the river. The open deck offers great views of the river . Beautiful location. Only need to climb up 3-4 set of stairs and a spiral staircase to reach this place. Have to put in efforts to get the views 😄

The view of Wat Arun from this bar is truly stunning, especially if you manage to snag a seat at the edge of the deck. People arrive early to secure this spot and enjoy the sunset while watching the temple glow in the dark. However, the prices are a bit steep, and despite offering only a few food options, the service tends to be slow. As a result, your food may often be served cold. To save money and still enjoy the view, consider taking a boat ride from the Grand Palace towards ICONSIAM if your main goal is to admire Wat Arun from this location.

Beautiful spot but overrun with tourists. Small viewing space up top with a gorgeous view but it’s crowded with people just wanting pictures and their own space. Loved coming here but just know it’s not a secret spot by any means. My instagram is caruso_christopher if you like more trips and tips!

This rooftop bar is the best around this area. Yes, you’re paying premium but the view is worth it. If you get here a few minutes before the sunset you won’t be disappointed. Food menu is limited but you’re here for the view and some drinks, no?

Great view and atmosphere, the staff were incredibly attentive and made sure we got nice seats and were seen to. Expensive drinks, and if you're not drinking or eating they'll likely move you on quickly because of how popular it is, but it's a nice novelty if you're in the area!

What a bar. The atmosphere, the drinks and the mood was top notch. Be sure to come early as the line is crazy but sometimes they let you in if you don’t need a seat, usually a seat will be available after some time. The view of wat Arun was amazing and watching the sunset was one of the best experiences we’ve had in Bangkok.

The location is awesome, just outside of reclining Buddha. Suntec view is perfect. We came around 4pm, already full house. People come very early to hold the table and not leaving till dark.

I discovered this place on Instagram, well-known for the scenery from its rooftop bar. If you climb to the 5th floor using stairs, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Wat Arun across the river and its light show. I understand why this place is so popular. The atmosphere, location, and drinks were what I exactly wanted from a rooftop bar. It's worth noting that they do not take a reservation; it's walk-in only. The tables were full when I arrived there at 7pm on 12/24, so I took a seat at the counter. I was totally fine with this and even made a new friend who was sitting right next to me!

A must-visit spot for an amazing view of Wat Arun Temple. The staff is very friendly and professional. We went there for drinks on a Sunday night without booking and there was no waiting time. The drinks lounge is on the 5th floor (stairs only, no elevator), while dinner area is on ground floor. It’s a bit on the pricy side but that’s understandable considering the view by the river and temple and quality of service. We had the coconut cooler and fruit punch, would definitely recommend the coconut cooler specially on a hot day. Card payment is available.

Smallest pour of wine I’ve had anywhere…charged us full price for drinks with no alcohol (it’s Election Day but c’mon 👎🤦‍♂️) Two stars for the beautiful view. Hardly any alcohol in the drinks that did have alcohol. Be aware they added 10% to bill for service so no need for extra tip.

Perfect spot to go watch sunset where Wat Arun and river view is right in front of you. Drinks and food is also nice, but would love to go back there mainly because of the view.

A great spot to enjoy the views of Wat Arun from across the river. Enjoy some drinks and good music. Beware, its a climb of 5 floors of stairs to get here but absolutely worth it.

The views are great...and I'm pretty sure that's what you're paying for because the drink prices are quite ridiculously high. It was great to check out, but I probably won't be back.

Beautiful view of Wat Arun across the river. Come early and book your spot to experience how the view changes as the sky darkens. The temple lighted up is a sight to behold.

This place is good for its view of Wat Arun at night. Beer starts from 230tbh pint. Some snacks and service was good. It's goodd place to chill. More restaurants in the same vicinity with a similar view so compare the other restaurants also. Ladies avoid heels cause you have to climb 5 storeys. Yeah, there is no lift and your man cannot carry you cause the last storey is very narrow. Adventure for sure 😂 The place should be more pocket friendly.

Instagrammable views of the sunset, but this is reflected in the price of the drinks!

Had a quick salad at the restaurant below. Views are good but the dishes are overpriced due to location. Visited the terrace at the neighbouring hotel which was much better. It’s ok for the views I guess

Nice terrace bar with a great view of Wat Arun. Make sure to arrive before 430pm in order to secure a table. Drinks are not very expensive. The food menu is very limited, snack only. I recommend this place for a chill evening.

Great place to watch sunset with amazing views of Wat Arun. It’s a very small rooftop so limited seating and tables but the staff are fab and try to move you forward in seating / tables the longer you are there. Quite expensive for beers and drinks but you’re definitely paying for the experience which is worth it in my opinion

Good spot to watch sunset overlooking Wat Arun. I accidentally discover this place while looking for any spot to capture sunset. Come early to get a perfect spot!

Cool bar to see the Wat Arun sunset. Coctails are flashy but taste very mid, naturally overpriced because of the view. All in all it would be a legit place to see the sunrise but they let in way more people than places available, many just for taking photos, which kinda ruins the experience of guests who have paid and have a table.

Eagle’s Nest is a hidden gem on a quiet street with a breathtaking panorama over the surrounding area, including the nearby Wat Arun Temple, the Chao Phraya River, the Reclining Buddha Temple (Wat Pho), and a cluster of four enormous stupas. Enjoy refreshments and breathtaking sights while gazing at the river and temple in the dark. Excellent for winding down after a hectic day in Bangkok! #watarun #hiddengems #bangkokview

Nice place to view but is extremely hot if you go early just to book a nice seat. Bring a cap or umbrella if needed. Got to climb up the stairs to the fifth floor followed by a spiral staircase.

It offered the amazing sunset view with Wat Arun, so you can get lots of nice photos here. However, this place is too crowded starting from 5pm, so crowded so in order to get a table with an unblocked view, it's better to come around 4pm. Drinks are just ok but I actually came for the view, and the vibes are great!

Best meal I've had in ages!!! Amazing views. Drinks are very expensive but I guess that's to be expected

Lovely chill bar. Cocktails were quite expensive but it’s a roof bar in Bangkok over looking the Wat Arun so you expect this. However the cocktail menu was vast and they were very well presented and tasted great. Service was a little slow but it was busy. You need to arrive a good hour or two before sunset as it’s really busy. But I could see there were bars either side with roof terraces that didn’t look as busy so you could try there if eagles nest is full. Don’t forget to look out the back of the bar too as you get a great view of the Wat Phra and Grand Palace which also look incredible all lit up at night!

Nice roof top bar with beautiful view. You can see Wat Arun and Chaophaya Reiver at the night time with very good cocktails. Enjoy your night here😉🥂🍹🍸

Perfect location which looks over all of the temples. A must see! Drinks are expensive, but you can't ask for a better panoramic view of all the temples.

Very very nice. Amazing surroundings to dine in. It costs a little more than usual to eat here, but you certainly have the views in which to dine. Service was very good. I’d have liked my prawns cooked a little more, but what arrived was perfectly edible. Would I recommend it? Definitely. Get there about 5:30pm to capture the best of the sunset.

5 stars for location and sunset views, but the drinks we had weren't good. If you go, stick to simple drinks like gin and tonics or beers - the 280 baht margaritas were pure sour mix. The staff were really sweet, and the photos you can get here are beautiful.

The bar is on the rooftop ( no elevator ) but worth the walk. Amazing view of Wat Arun, great place for a drinkie :)

This rooftop bar has an amazing view of Wat Arun! Nice staff but the service is quite slow. Drinks are pricey but worth the view you get.

Great views of Wat Arun and Wat Pho and the sunset. Directly across Wat Arun across the river. Al fresco bar with bar table or lounge style seating. Drinks menu are quite extensive but are served pretty diluted (light). Great evening setting to gather with friends or just by yourself as you may need the quiet and alone time to watch the setting sun behind Wat Arun.

The food and the service were very good. We stayed for 4 hours and enjoyed the wonderful view. Thanks to Covid-19 there were only 10 customers including the three of us. The restaurant provides very good value for money. It is too expensive for backpackers. If you like steak the more expensive one is it. The waiter counseled me very well.

  • 5/5 Enrico 2 years ago on Google
We were very lucky because it was a bit rainy and not much people around, so the quiet atmosphere with the temple and city's view was breathtaking. Very friendly and smiling staff. Definitely worth it to go!!
