Drinks on the rooftop. 2022 version. Damn. This was one of my fave rooftop bars a few years back as the view is stunning, but what happened to their bar food quality?! Sloppy salmon roll (฿520++) and inattentive service. Also disappointed that the house white wine wasn't cold. We had such a bad time that even on a 2-hour free flow package, we decided to leave after an hour. Unfortunately, this visit made it difficult to keep telling my friends about this place

Had a disaster of a Valentine’s Day 5-course set menu. Don’t know where to start really…one of the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time, start to finish. Parking - We arrived at around 6 30pm only to be stuck 30min in our car next to the lobby, noone came to inform us of anything. We then get told later that we need to park at another hotel nearby then walk back. Dinner service - Seated at a corner table despite sofa seating booking. Had to ask for our complimentary starter 1 hour in. Sat at 7:30pm main course haven’t arrived at 10pm. Taste - Food was overall quite good but with everything else being so bad it’s hard to enjoy them. The steak main and the lobster bisque that they provided as an alternative to the tuna tartare were amazing. Foei gras was a let down though. Decor - Nice dining area with a great view of the city. The above were the same for tables around us as well so the overall atmosphere was quite hostile and unpleasant despite the staffs best attempts to calm everyone down. I don’t like giving harsh comments but this is 7,000++ baht…so very dissapointing.

The food that they serve is decent, but given the price point, you are paying more for the service and atmosphere in my opinion. The deconstructed strawberry shortcake is an interesting way to end a meal, and one that does not come by often. Overall, it is an excellent option for a romantic date.

This place has a great view and you need to know that is what you are paying for. There are only a few fans and they don’t really do the job of cooling things down on a hot humid night. We ordered one Mai-Tai and one old fashioned and neither were great. We didn’t see the Mai Tai ingredients but for the old fashioned the bartender used Jim Beam, an obvious bad choice for anyone ordering an old fashioned. Total cost for these two drinks was around ฿750, a bit more than you’d expect to pay for that level of quality. However, the view, decor, and ambiance save the bar from being a total loss.

The salad was good, and also the lobster was ok, absolutely over priced though. Octopus was not chewy, which is great but it was very, very dry. Again for that price I expect something much better. Chocolate lava cake was more a chocolate soufflé, so I didn’t get what I paid for. The Ice cream the cake came with, was the cheapest possible in my view. Just had a soufflé at soufflé & me, that’s quality ice cream and soufflé to be honest. Drinks were good though. I am quite disappointed to pay so much money for so little quality; wouldn’t recommend it here again; even though the view you get is amazing.

I was here for Christmas set dinner with wine pairing. Food was nice and the view is amazing. Sadly the service didn’t reach the level I expected from this restaurant. We had ordered wine pairing and first I think they forgot as our starter arrived before the welcome drink. After this there was a constant timing issue where next course would arrive long before the next wine. Christmas, new years and valentines is the day’s service needs to be top notch. Sadly Char didn’t deliver. On a positive note they did apologise multiple times and our waitress did the best she could.

This is an awesome place to take in the sunset and enjoy the panorama of Bangkok's incredible cityscape. Watch the sun disappear in a burst of colour behind the buildings and enjoy smooth tunes and cold drinks as the night settles in. The menu offers tasty morsels that are a tasty accompaniment to your beverages, but nothing can detract from THAT view. One of the best in Bangkok, in all respects!

Celebrated my husband’s birthday at Char Restaurant. It was marvellous. Very nice ambience, great food and magnificent view. We were served by Orn, thank you so much for her excellent service. Ordered a three course dinner and the food was wonderful and nicely presented. We had wine pairing to go with our food and Dex paired the wines so well that we really appreciated it. Would love to visit again.

We had 3 course dinner set which included in our room package and every dishes are fine but not so excellent. I think this restaurant is average in term of both taste and service. Price is standard for eating in hotel restaurant.

However the food was only okay and thus not worth the price. Their appetizers are a little bit bland. The lobster bisque soup does not taste like it was reduced from lobster. For the main dish, we have ordered tuna and cod. The fish was fresh but the prepared garnish doesn’t complement each other well enough for me.

Guide, Mai, Boat, and Aut are all very good in doing their job and I felt very seen and attended with all my needs during my stay at CHAR Rooftop bar. They are so quick with my drinks request and I was able to even have a complimentary drink to celebrate my birthday. They are so very great with what they do and they keep everyone so special and they even take you really good pictures of the stunning place and view at the rooftop. I enjoyed my stay here a mt CHAR rooftop because of the amazing crew and staff. It’s my first time here in Bangkok and I had the time of my life.
