My
rate
4/5.
It's
a
small
but
cozy
restaurant.
It
made
me
feel
like
having
a
meal
in
a
typical
Dutch
house:
from
chairs,
glasses
to
plates.
They
were
so
cute,
vintage
and
so
Dutch.
*
Food:
although
they
add
some
Asian
ingredients
to
their
menu
but
it's
still
very
Dutch
to
me.
We
ordered
Bordje
doe
maar
lekker,
bigbanger
burger
and
bavette.
The
starter
was
ok.
Not
bad
but
not
impressed.
Bigbanger
burger
was
ok
too.
The
burger
was
a
bit
dry
but
could
be
fixed.
Bavette
steak
was
well
cooked
as
requested:
medium
rare.
Soft
and
juicy.
However,
chili
oil
was
not
matching
with
the
dish.
If
the
restaurant
would
like
to
add
some
spicy
tastes
please
consider
something
else.
Because
the
bavette
steak
was
seasoning
with
sea
salt,
then
the
chili
oil
was
also
salty
so
together
they
made
the
dish
too
salty.
Mashed
potatoes
also
couldn't
go
well
with
chili
oil
with
peanut.
For
me,
it's
totally
failed.
*
Service:
nice,
kind
and
charming.
No
complaints.
*Price:
its
reasonable,
not
so
crazy
expensive
and
the
quality
was
decent
too.
The
portions
were
fine.
In
general,
I
think
it's
a
lovely
restaurant
to
visit
if
you
are
in
Alkmaar!
