The best hamburger of my entire life. 100% recommend

Roos is alypur best choice for brunch in the Leiden center. They have excellent sandwiches, great drinks (matcha is highly recommended), and (most importantly) incredible deserts that you can't pass up. They taste as good as they look, trust me! The cafe itself is super cute and just an overall coazy place to have some coffee with a friend or two, and the servers are really nice and helpful. A must-visit in Leiden.

Location is great, allowing for seating right by the canal. The food was okay, nothing amazing but nonetheless as a place to grab some quick lunch it's more that fine.

Good service and huge serving (at least for me) of tosti! I ordered a matcha (which was okay) the salmon tosti with wasabi mayo and it was reaaally nice👌🏻

Already the fourth time we visited the Roos. We are every time more in love with the sandwiches served here. Nice service, beautiful atmosphere at the waterside and such a great price-performance. Especially to recommend is the Sandwich „Kippendij“. The one and only place for breakfast oder lunch ☺️

Good place to go if you want neither food nor coffee. I walked in and no staff behind counter. only three tables seated, not eating. then a person who was just sitting in the back and who I assumed was just another waiting customer decided to casually get up. I asked to sit outside assuming she would then follow me to take my order. she didn't. I sat out there for 5 minutes at a near empty Cafe and got up and left. Leiden has many great cafes with excellent service, food and drink. Unfortunately finding the good ones is a bit of trial and error.

Quick and friendly service even though it was busy. Food was delicious, the toast was finished chili flakes which gave it an edge. Croissant was a highlight, not sure if they made it themselves, but really good with a hint of lemon.

Honestly I loved it!! The food was so so amazing, and portions of food are great value for money. The food was fresh and tasty. The staff were so kind and overall it was a great experience here. Will come again!

Ultra tasty lunch, had the salmon salad which 1) looked amazing 2) was generous in salmon 3) delish. Finished with a dirty chai, one of the best I've ever had. Lovely setting when it's sunny, quite packed, but efficient service and friendly service.

Had a very nice breakfast! I went for the scrambled eggs with bacon, avocado, spelt bread and cherry tomatoes. My girlfriend had the special flatbread with tzatziki, which she made me finish the last 30% of because it was a very generously portioned meal 😅. As dessert we shared a banana bread loaf which was also very thick and nice! Aside from the meals we had the matcha kokos latte and the matcha latte with oatmilk and a vanilla shot, which is my recommendation if you’re a sweet tooth ;). Would definitely recommend to have breakfast or lunch here!

Breakfast of champions. Amazing scrambled eggs on toast. Options for bacon or a veggie option of feta and sun dried tomatoes. Other options include a chia pudding with fruit. Definitely worth the visit. Eaten at a table on a barge in the canal.

Best breakfast in Netherlands. Great view, great service, the chicken and chia puding were perfect. Definitely will return!

We loved our breakfast here so much, we came back three days in a row! Sitting by the canal is great, but watch out for the birds... they'll steal your food right off the plate!

Great but slow brunch Restaurant. The food is excellent, and the portions are really big while prices are fair. The only big problem is the pace of the staff as it took them over 30 minutes to serve us breakfast. This is just too slow for breakfast service, and it wasn't even that busy. We still really enjoyed our food here and would definitely recommend this place if you don't mind waiting a bit longer!

I went here with my friends! It was my second time to bring someone. Because they have really nice food! And always the staffs are so friendly ☺️ I like there. Especially, I highly recommend their cheesecake and food! 🥰

Cozy restaurant to eat at breakfast, lunch or dinner time. The french toast is not the common recipe but it is tasty. The coffee is not so good but this is the way Dutch people drink it. Whats really paya off is the brownie, try it!

Uninspired food and overpriced juice. Actually bad bread which is difficult to find in the Netherlands. Not good service.

The staff are very nice and friendly even though the place is crowded. The sandwiches were very delicious, and the combination with the mini soup was great!
