TAKING OFF MY GO TO RESTAURANT LIST IMMEDIATELY!!! I have been eating at this restaurant for the better part of 20+ years as I grew up eating here. My food tonight tasted and looked as if it came straight from Panera. I was in awe at what this cook staff considers quality now. The menu has been cut down tremendously as well. They used to have so many fan favorite menu items that are just no longer available, and with no explanation. Ever since the new management has taken over, everything about this restaurant has gone completely downhill, and fast. Not worth the time or prices.

Went to Houston's on Peachtree Rd yesterday, first time there since the pandemic, although I have frequented the W.Paces store earlier this year... Houston's used to be my favorite place to dine in all of Atlanta, but no more! They have revamped the menu and along with their awesome chicken tenders being gone for awhile, they've now removed baked potatoes from the menu! Company-wide, so said the wait person! I realize it's not the person's fault, they're just the messenger, but my word, if I'm going to spend well over $30 for a steak, I want a loaded baked potato! French fries are good but not for a nice dinner out! They're so picky about their dress code and gotten high-faluting on their attitudes, but they're running their tried and true customers off! I eventually got a cheeseburger (can't go wrong there, eh?), and it was a sloppy mess, I ate less than half of it and took the rest home as a treat for the dogs. I don't plan on going back to the Peachtree Rd location, I will try the W. Paces location again, but otherwise I can find some other restaurant that is just as good and just as mediocre. What a shame!

2023's inflation and the economy have been hitting Houstons apparently; portion sizes of everything have gotten smaller while pricing remains the same. The $49 Hawaiian Ribeye now comes with 1 side instead of 2 ($9) and its fries instead of mashed potatoes. The salad was formerly large enough to share for $13 and now is half the size. Even the dessert 🍨 are reduced in size @ $9

Date night for me and my husband. Great service as always. I really would like for them to change their menu up a bit. It's been the same for years. The sushi is top notch!

Prior to the pandemic was ever an issue...i could include spinach dip or whatever was on their menu for take out even the Hawaiian Steak..now they tell you what they think you should be able to order and the spinach dip is not a take home item. I was told the menu is limited for take home to encourage people to dine in..why encourage this when COVID is rising..

Houston's was a Fantastic experience! The ambiance starts as you walk in the door. You can order drinks and sit in the Courtyard. It's so picturesque! The Lemon Drop Martini was divine! I paired it with the Coconut Shrimp Sushi. A delightful dining escapade while visiting ATL!

Delicious smoked salmon and Hawaiian Rib Eye!!! Super clean location (including the restrooms). Waitress (Kennedy) was great. Very pleasant, frequently stopping by to refresh drinks and check up on everything. Smoked salmon appetizer came out quickly and was devoured just as fast. Everyone in our small group ordered the Hawaiian Rib Eye. No one was disappointed. Broccoli and mashed potatoes that came with it were equally as good. The steak had a hint of pineapple and was cooked to perfection. Great overall meal. I would not hesitate to stop in again to see what else is awesome.

Houston's food is consistently good. When I come to Houston's, it's because I want spinach dip, a good salad or fish. My son and I came in for an early dinner without a reservation (I called several times earlier in the day but the phone was never answered) - no worries, we only had to wait about 15-20 minutes. We got a drink and waited on the front patio since it was a beautiful day. I chose the House-Smoked Salmon appetizer (a generous portion) and it was delicious. My entrée was the Traditional Salad w/Buttermilk Garlic dressing. The picture may not look exciting but my son only eats plain burgers - it was a large, fresh, ground chuck burger and he enjoyed it. We both thought they could be a little more generous with the fries that were served. I ordered a brownie to take home since I couldn't finish my meal. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find cherries or some other type of fruit added to the brownie. I didn't care for that at all.

This was my first and last time at this restaurant. The customer service from our waitress was superb, she was great. The presentation of the food looked good. As I ate my chicken, the middle seemed undone. The manager argued that the pink was paprika, but it was raw. I was sick a day later 🤢. Everything was good up until that point.

I've always been a big fan of Houston's, but our recent visit left much to be desired. Given the challenge of getting a weekend reservation, we opted to dine during the week. Upon arrival, we headed to the bar to order drinks while waiting for our table. After a 10-minute wait, we were informed that they were no longer offering espresso martinis, and also no longer stocked grenadine for my daughter's Shirley Temple. When we were seated at our table, we were excited to order the artichokes, only to be told that the kitchen had run out of them. This was quite a letdown. As a result, we decided on sushi as an appetizer, and had our hearts set on ribs for our main course. Unfortunately, our server returned to inform us that the kitchen had also run out of ribs. On a Tuesday. At 7:30. Despite these disappointments, our server was very nice and seemed equally disappointed that the kitchen didn’t not have the menu items we wanted. It’s worth noting that Houston's appears to have made some changes post-COVID, including discontinuing their live music, which used to add to the moody, ambience. Additionally, the prices on the menu have increased once again, which is frustrating, considering the already steep pricing. Overall, while the service was commendable, the experience was marred by the lack of menu options, the absence of live music, and the continued price hikes.

Natasha's service was exceptional! She was very attentive to the needs of my party, while also being friendly and kind! The other waiters and waitresses, whom I also had the pleasure to momentarily interact with, were also kind and friendly as well! I would definitely recommend this location! 10/10

Best service ever.. very attentive and professional wait staff. I have been a customer here for over 10 years and the food remains consistently well prepared. Houston's now serve sushi! It's the best I have had in a very long time. Be prepared, this place is pricey but well worth it.

As always Houston's Steakhouse is always a great place to eat, drink, & be merry. There is usually a wait on weekends in my experience, so I'd recommend reservations. The wait quoted was 1 1/2 hrs. It ended up being about 50 mins. While waiting I stepped into the bar & ordered a vodka & pineapple to drink on the patio. They don't have pineapple? Oh well. Once seated I ordered an apple martini & guest what? No apple! They did make me an awesome pomegranate martini instead. I was surprised to see they've added a sushi bar since my last visit. The food was outstanding & the service was magnificent!

Love it here as always, great food. But social distancing wasn't done or being practiced sitting here. Every seat or table was occupied, and Bar area fully occupied, the place was jammed packed with people. I don't think I'll visit anytime soon during the pandemic. Not safe at all. 😰

The food was good, the wait was not to much we placed a reservation and waited about 2 hours to be seated. While people just arrived got in before us since we had a party of 5. The service was top notch, the waitress staff constantly checked on us and made sure we had water, and made sure our food was good. I would definitely come again.

For starters, we ordered the Spinach & Artichoke dip...very good. For an entree I ordered the, Famous French Dip and fries. It came with horseradish and aus jus. It was good, but I probably should have gotten steak instead. My daughter had the cheeseburger, well done and enjoyed it, but preferred the Spinach & Artichoke dip. The bartender made my drink perfect...just tequila and ginger ale. It was a perfect distribution of tequila, ice, and ginger ale.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants of all time. I’ve been coming to this location for over 10 years and I’ve never been disappointed. The food is phenomenal. The service can be a hit or miss if I’m being completely honest. When it gets really busy, your waiter might not be the most attentive. But I still give the place 5 stars because the food is so good. The ribs are my go-to and all the sushi is great.

Hadn't been to this location in a while. I was disappointed that several items had been removed from this location. Fried Chicken Salad and they do not offered baked potatoes..only mashed potatoes. Hawaiian Steak comes with fries I had to ask for Broccoli.. But overall the service was good and we were seated according to our reservation time which was good for Mother's Day.

Extremely disappointed in the new mashed potatoes. They’re terrible. The pomme purée were an exquisite pair with the salmon or Haiwaiian. A smooth, buttery & creamy goodness dolloped & garnished with a sprinkle of fresh chives. The new mashed potatoes are a mix of chopped bok choy or cabbage textured green & sliced scallions. It’s way too over done & just tastes like a made up, mixed up mess. Completely ruined my favorite dish’s experience. 0 out of 5. Get rid of them or at least offer plain mashed potatoes. Service that night was just okay compared to regular visits.

The biggest highlight of this meal was the exceptional service from the waitress. She was exceptional! The deviled eggs and both main entrees were both also great, with the fish really being the standout of the whole meal.

Around the table our choices were ruby trout, crispy salmon salad, cheeseburger, and Thai peanut salad. Everyone expressed satisfaction with their choices. Wait staff were impeccable including unexpected touches like bringing five spoons before I even asked when I was the only one to order dessert. (I did feel entitled to because it was for my birthday!) Only cautionary note. Even though we got there before 5pm, it was a Saturday night and for a party of five we should have had a reservation because we waited over an hour to be seated.

I had an amazing experience at this bar and restaurant! The sushi was fresh and flavorful, the burgers were juicy perfection, and the drinks were expertly crafted. The vibrant vibe added to the overall enjoyment, and the service was top-notch. A special shoutout for the complimentary valet parking, a convenient touch. The place is so good that there's always a busy line, but it's totally worth the wait!

Houston's by far is in my top 5. I love everything about it; atmosphere, food, service. I am always excited when the grilled artichokes are in season. In all my years of dining here I never tried their sushi until this visit. It's a 10 out of 10. Very fresh & favorable. No matter what time of day I dine here I always feel sexy in the atmosphere.

Complimentary valet, no option to self park. Bar scene is lively and there is usually a packed house with a long line of folks waiting to get sat. We walked in on a Saturday night without a reservation and waited for our turn to dine at the bar (~45 min wait) Bar is not a free-for-all, you have to put your name down and they’ll formally give you a place setting when it’s your turn. Elevated and orderly service, but expect to wait. You can get a drink and stand around with it or sit at the little cocktail tables by the window (if available) while you wait. Missed opportunity for this spot to have live music- there’s a piano set up and everything. Pretty unfortunate because it would be super perfect / unique for the area if they did this! Food: ✅Off menu chicken sandwich for the win- forever and always. ✅Shoe string fries and kale salad are spectacular sides. ✅Great sushi. ✅STRONG martinis with stuffed (goat cheese) olives 🤨 🫒🍸

Their baby back ribs and hawaiian ribeye are my favorite also I've never had a "side" that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. They can be a bit "stuffy" and could stand to expand their cocktail menu but the ambiance and quality of the food makes up for it. I go at least once a month ?

You will never be disappointed. While Houston’s is an amazing restaurant where you’ll never have a bad meal, Jessica the bartender takes it to another level! Absurd new ‘cashless’ policy. Been coming here for years, won’t support a business which perpetuates such a ridiculous policy. It’s also quite discriminatory against the 22% of Americans who don’t have access to banking/credit cards. 0/10, won’t be coming back until this is changed.

We had lunch yesterday - you walk in and the ambiance is dark and business! I understand that perhaps for dinner but turn the lights up for lunch! It was busy, but the menu I found to be rather limited. The salmon starter is delightful, the artichoke and spinach dip not so good. The rotisserie chicken is good - large portion, but broccoli was steamed to death! If I were to eat here again I’d eat at the bar where it’s brighter - but if you want a business setting for lunch this would work. Valet parking is free.

We visit this location once to twice a month and have never been disappointed. As far as management goes Angela and Jessie are both such a delight to encounter. Angela truly is an angel, I have never met someone as sweet spirited as her. Nicole and Melody are our waitresses by choice and trust me when I say they NEVER disappoint, ever! Everyone at this location however is very pleasant and gives a great experience. The food is always the same, delicious! We mostly get the ribeye but have tried other menu items. It is pricey but definitely worth it. I have been to more expensive restaurants in Atlanta and find myself comparing the service to that of which I receive at this establishment. I have been to another Houston’s twice and both times it was a terrible experience. This restaurant is where I got engaged over a year ago, where I have my date nights with my husband, where my kids go for a nice treat, where my husband takes his employees, where my husband and I go on random lunch dates. You name it and we have done it at this Houston’s and every single time is better than the last.

Always Great experience at all Houstons Locations. Still busy during our C19 scare. People supporting businesses was nice to see. Remember the bar also has a separate wait list when busy so dont go and just sit. They have live piano and bass music during evening hours. Valert parking free; just tips. Business casual dress code or nicer but you will see all types (smh). So dont be surprised. It wont impact your night because everyone seem to just want to enjoy the great food and service. This visit, my prime rib was very fatty. It happens sometimes. That's why a 4 vs a 5. Still great but fatty. Handicapped accessible.

Clearly my favorite restaurant in Atlanta! If you find anything on their varied and extensive menu that you like, it will be prepared exquisitely and served excellently. Their cocktails contain 2 ounces of liquor and they freshly squeeze all of their juices. My favorites are the spinach and artichoke dip served with salsa, sour cream and delicious chips (UPDATE...they changed the chips to a thicker, less tasty version and have decided to ignore customer complaints asking them to return to the original chips. Sorry, but I no longer order this otherwise delicious appetizer and reduced the rating from 5 stars to 4!) Then I must have a filet mignon with a huge loaded baked potato. Everyone there is customer service oriented! AND complimentary valet parking...

I've been visiting this Houston's location for years for various special occasions, or just casual lunch with friends. They have a well thought out hearty menu, and good portion sizes, as well as delicious healthy options. Valet parking makes it easy in/out and the valet always remembers me and my vehicle without dealing with tickets, and trash left on the dash or attached to the key--my pet peeve! Ordered dinner and 2 spinach dips for my daughter and 1 spinach dip for my wife and when they didn't bring my wife's out with her food and we asked about it they said it was too late and we couldn't have it because they don't serve spinach dip to go and they would have to pack it up if she doesn't finish it. When we said that it was meant to go with her food and she will eat as much as she can, both the waitress and the manager had an attitude an refused to give her spinach dip. It was the weirdest hill to die on, but the effect was achieved my family is never going back.

Sad to say The Hawaiian is not the same. No flavor just plain. They remade it and still no flavor of sweet Pineapple nothing. This is not the normal for them. So I don't know if they changed the recipe or what but not good. We will not be back. And this use to be my favorite place.

Wow! What an experience. The menu is very limited due to COVID who knew you could not eat baked potatoes during a pandemic. Then don’t try to order a steak to go because it might not heat up as good as a French Dip sandwich - really! To top it all off the manager did nothing to help which was very disappointing. I will definitely think twice before every eating at Houston’s again.

The food and the service were impeccable. Their wait staff is very attentive and the chef prepared our meals to perfection. I highly recommend the scittish salmon. As a starter be sure to try the rainbow roll sushi and the coconut shrimp roll.

Food was exceptional as always. If you go here you expect it to be pricey. The dress code was not enforced at all. People wearing clothes they would wear at the mall or at home. Sparkly uggs and sweatpants. it really detracted from the atmosphere of a fine dining experience. Had to wait for a table even though I had a reservation which is perfectly fine as I understand people take longer then expected to eat and wait lists can get backed up. however, the hostess was honestly rude and unprofessional. Maybe she was having a rough day I'm not sure. She checked us in for our reservation and the waiting area was very packed, she was very abrupt and seemed stressed, and generally unhappy, so myself and my date stood as off-to-the-side as we could. The hostess then looked at us and bluntly said "ive checked you in, you can go somewhere else now" I was quite taken back as the waiting area was very full and people are concerned about covid and whatnot. I simply said yes we know. At the table our waitress was very kind and thoughtful. The bartender was fantastic as well which we visited while waiting for our table. TL:DR Rude hostess, dress code not even thought of, good food, excellent bartender and waitress.

Houstons is one of my favorite places! I forgot to take a picture because it’s a normal place that we like to eat. One change is that they aren’t carrying their awesome baked potatoes, instead they offer creamy mashed potatoes. This visit was awesome and it was as busy as usual! Love it!

The Hawaiian ribeye is the best. The salad, the homemade crotons, the cheese bread...YUM! The entire dining experience here is always perfect and professional!!

Order your steak a little under what you normally like because it may come out over cooked. The flavors and service were excellent though so I still feel like they deserve 5 stars.

Good food and atmosphere. However, they need to in force that mask are mandatory in the waiting area. Too small of a place for people not to wear a mask.

  • 5/5 Mark L M. 3 years ago on Google
We enjoyed a crafted cocktail, excellent fried chicken sandwich w spicy slaw (OF COURSE: I Had Fries!) & I took some home. But what really made it a special holiday lunch was our server. She seemed so happy to be there and working, that I chimed in "I'm so glad you got to work today." That used to mean something different; so, now we both just really smiled.

Everything’s great here but as I was talking to the manager which seemed to be a younger Hispanic male, he talks like he’s scared or something. I’m gonna need you to put your big boy pants on buddy and speak like a man and get some confidence in your job. Thanks.

LOVE THIS PLACE! ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES IN THE ATL. One lil issue wit my food, I was eating appetizer and wasn't finish, Main dish was brought out while I was still eating app.. main dish was cold by the time I finished my appetizer. Wish they could have brought out after I finished app. Nota good look, still 💘 this place..#spinachdip #ribs

One of the overall best dining experience I’ve had this year. Food was great. Soda came in glass bottles. I don’t like spinach but the dip was great. I wish you would have seen the rips before hand but yea.

Food was delicious. Moscow mule not served in copper mug, entre comes with 2 sides, but if you substitute, you're penalized by only getting 1 side instead of 2. Not a wide variety of entries. But food is delicious!

We had an excellent time and experience at Houston’s. Our server was Skyler and she was incredibly kind and attentive. The food was delicious and the service was prompt. We had a reservation and there was a small wait but those without a reservation had over an hour wait so reservations recommended for sure. Make sure you ask about the off menu specials. I had the ribs and they were absolutely fantastic. The fries were hot and crispy. Get their mayo for the fries it was spiced and really good. My wife had the steak special. I cannot remember the cut. It was cooked very well. While she ultimately prefers a leaner cut the steak and sides were delicious. Great place to go but it can be expensive. This was a special date night for us.

Absolutely love this place, prime rib cooked to perfection. Topped off with horseradish. The brownie is dangerously, and the apple cobbler is a must have.

I absolutely love the experience of Houstons on Peachtree. The food was delicious. The only downfall was some of the Desserts were not available at this location. I love the 4 nut fudge brownie, will definitely return.

My husband and I visited here on a weekend getaway. Mia our server was wonderful! She was very helpful with the menu, and attentive to us throughout the whole meal. The food was simply amazing! We had the spinach dip, Hawaiian Ribeye, and for dessert the key lime pie. I don't even typically like key lime pie, but was tempted to try something different and I am really glad I did! The menu is pricy, but when you do your research you know that ahead of time before your visit. In my opinion it was simply worth every penny we spent!

Very nice dining experience. Took my best friend here for a birthday lunch. I dropped about $120 for two plates of ribs, an appetizer, tip, and water. Service was excellent. An older, tall black gentleman helped us--very polite, smart, humorous. Forgot his name, but hope to see him again. Nice time!

This place os something else, waitress very helpful, it checks every 5 to 10 minutes if everything ok, if we need something else. Food amazing, worth the price, I tried the campfire pork and nlmy wife the usda meat, really good. Spinach dip is excelent.

This location was so packed but it was well worth the wait. We sat at the bar and Allie served us. She was very professional, knowledgeable and patient. She was a top notch server/bartender. Wonderful experience!! Can't wait to go back!!

Delicious and worth every penny! The ambiance and decor definitely gets you drawn into what delights of the pallette are awaiting in Houston's! I had a delicious ribeye that made my mouth water with excitement as soon as it hit the table. Kevin served the table and was so attentive and gave the chef recommendations on the cooking of the entrées. The cocktails were made with love and perfection! I would definitely choose this restaurant on the service alone! A+++

  • 5/5 Cullen M. 7 months ago on Google
Fun restaurant with pretty decent food. Our waitress, Tiffany, was wonderful and attentive. The food turned out well, however the cocktails (especially on their specialties) were not good whatsoever. Poorly balanced at the price point of a proper cocktail bar. Avoid the drinks, get the food.

The food and service was amazing! The sushi stack was fresh. Since this was my 1st time, I asked my server for recommendations. Based on my preferences, Sunny made the suggestions, and all exceeded my expectations, the appetizers, drinks, and the entrée. I'll be back for sure.

As always, great service and consistently great food. For starters the Deviled eggs and the "Osaka Style"pressed Sushi, great choice. Those ribs are yummy, not to mention the Brownie! Here on another visit, this time, and as always, we had a great dining experience. For starter we chose the Nigiri Plate; fresh sushi, and well prepared. My main course, the Thai Noodle Salad; great choice, a well balanced flavor dish. And again, for dessert the Brownie; of course it never disappoints me.

Loved it! Hadn't been to this Houston's in over 20+ yrs. It was nostalgic. The menu appeared to be smaller, but the service, food, and atmosphere made a large impact! Portion sizes were wonderful. We all had the Hawaiian rib-eye a couple of them cooked medium well and the other well-done. Each of our steaks were cooked to perfection and sliced like butter and flavor-filled.

  • 5/5 Tatiana G. 5 months ago on Google
Superb experience from the beginning to the end. I love my steak medium, rare, and in quite a few places they over cook them. This one was perfect.!

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
