Shame on you!!!! I almost lost my father due to your neglect. You have clowns there pretending to be doctors. My father was rushed there with a debilitating headache and pain in his neck..lower back and muscles. He could barely walk. Mr. J Rathwell figured it was mild pneumonia and prescribed antibiotics and sent him home. 8 days later and my father was still suffering. He managed to drive himself there only for another “doctor” to tell him that there was nothing wrong with him and that he should throw away the rest of the antibiotics. When asked if an MRI could be done...the buffoon responds with: “what do you need an MRI for??” My father suffered a few more days until he could no longer leave his bed..sweating profusely and literally crying. I called the paramedics and had him rushed to Queensway where a REAL doctor (Dr. Georgina Manca) saved my father’s life by finding the brain aneurysm which was slowly bleeding but not yet burst. He was immediately taken to the Civic Hospital for an operation. Two of your “doctors” misdiagnosing a patient in danger of dying is unacceptable! Very unprofessional! Very amateur! I will never ever step foot in your hospital again. Ever!!!! 59 years old..I almost lost him. All you had to do was run a few tests. You failed!!! I will never forgive you for this! Shame on you!!! You don’t even deserve that 1 star.

I would describe my experience as if I was in heaven, I went in for a day procedure- surgery and arrived at 7 in the morning, the nurses were so kind and generous and gave me positive vibes. Doctors, nurses and medical staff were superb and made my procedure and stay comfortable. It was indeed a 5 star experience with the amount of solid experience pouring in from all sides. I never expected it to be so great. It took me less than 4 hours to complete my procedure and it was a priceless experience. I thank the staff from the bottom of my heart for this outstanding service from a human to another human. I wish and pray everyone have the same experience and recover soon.

Showed up last night because my daughter had eaten eggs at Shoeless Joes Restaurant ( even though we asked staff a number of times if there was egg in the meal she was ordering ) her eyes were swollen and her throat was swelling. She was scared and the medication she had taken seemed to not be taking the swelling down. The ONLY staff member in the entire emergency room was a HOUSEKEEPER … who was chatting with the lady in front of us who had already been waiting to see ANYBODY!! for quite some time. My husband ended up charging into the back and demanding for a staff member to come to the front and the response was …. We will be there in a couple of minutes. Thank god the medication finally started to work and the swelling was starting to come down…. But by next question is…. What IF someone had come in with a horrible injury, like a sliced artery? Would they still be saying ohhh just a few minutes? As they bleed out onto the floor?

Very disappointed in our 1st visit to this hospital that an ambulance took us to. While driving on the 416 just outside of Kemptville my husband got a massive headache and lost most of his vision. Pulled of on Rideau River Road and called an ambulance which took us to Kemptville hospital. Only gave him 2 tylenol for his headache and upped his diaretic to what they thought was the cause was the liquid around his heart and sent him home. Next morning he woke up with the headache and vision worse and throwing up. Called another ambulance that took us to Winchester Hospital. They took great care of him got in touch with the Civic Hospital in Ottawa where he was transferred to. They discovered he had had 2 mini strokes in the area of his brain where his optic nerves are and that is why he could not see. They had to suspend his driver's license. Will never go to that hospital again. Terrible care. They did not do their job properly.

8 hours wait and told hours more. I was in so much pain I had to leave and go home. I couldn't take the pain that long in a waiting room. A 90 year old woman had to do the same. I don't blame the staff. I blame this circus of a gov't. They have crashed the health system! The waiting room was full with one doctor in attendance. Many people left. I was told if I came back tomorrow I would have to go through the full process again! It didn't matter how sick or critical people were!

The E.R is a horrible place the staff dont treat patients as people. My last stay there i passed out and awoke to a nurse kicking me saying he was to tall to bend over and shake me. When i told Dr. Zakhem she just laughed and walked away i would definitely reccomend going to winchester as the staff their are kind and courteous. I understand how the emergency room is busy and understaffed but thats not my doing and i should not be treated like it was. As well as how i seen them treat other patients in my years going their. So this is a warning about how they may treat you. Wait times are long due to the workload they have and the doctors in my experience tend to be better. Other than Dr. Zakhems disregard for how the nurse treated me she was very understanding and pleasant to deal with.

We have been sitting here for 2.5 hours. 5 people that came in AFTER us have come and gone. Kind of ridiculous. My wife has this mysterious rash on parts of her body but yet we sit here and wait.

What great service on a Saturday evening. We came into emergency at 6:17 PM and went immediately to triage then waited in the waiting room for about 30 minutes then off to see a doctor. We were in and out of emergency within two hours. Thank you to all the staff & Doctors. We are so lucky to have this facility in our area.

I'm surprised to see bad reviews for this hospital. Yesterday was the first time I've ever visited this hospital and my experience was good. The nurses seemed very nice and the Dr. was very good and very nice. My wait time to see the doctor was only about 45 minutes. Great Hospital!

What a joke of a hospital, waited 4 hours for my 1 year old to be seen and only seen because i made a seen... The hospital wasnt busy whatsoever, and she was misdiagnosed/ barely looked at. We knew something was still wrong whent to cheo right afterwards where she was diagnosed with a broken collar bone 8 hours later. I dont blame the nurses or doctors working here but rather the clown of a CEO that runs this place. Dont waist your time and go to real hospital that knows how to properly operate and treat people...

I enjoy the Kemptville hospital for a few reasons, first one is I've lived in Ottawa and have had to wait 8-10-15 hours to see a doctor in a hospital, I've been to the Brockville hospital and they don't know much there and it's unclean. At least in Kemptville, it's clean, quite and the doctors take time to discuss and converse with there patients. Explain the situation. Coodoos Kemptville hospital

All of the staff were very friendly and professional. The intake nurses were efficient and displayed a great deal of patience as i watched them field phone calls while also dealing with their primary reslonsibilities. Medical imaging technician was excellent and Dr. Taylor was thourough and made sure I understood my injury, explained the recovery/healing process and answered my questions patiently and with clarity. Could not ask for better care. Thank You to the whole team.

They gave me the wrong diagnosis. I went in with bad pains on my lower left back and, after an ultrasound, they told me it was just some swelling that could've been a kidney stone that already passed. I hadn't felt any pain since the doctors told me this, so I decided to believe them. Then, my family doctor got my ultrasound results and told me that, from looking at the results, that I might have an obstructing kidney stone. Confused, I asked why Kemptville Hospital didn't tell me this, my doctor just told me they had no idea. Quite a big oversight guys!

I have trust issues with my local hospital, so was quite happy to travel one where the people not only appeared well educated, but showed amazing kindness and willingness to answer all of my questions. From the time I walked in and the ladies who registering me were pleasantly surprised that I had not only read, but followed the instructions provided, they thanked me as this does help to make it easier to do their job. Each person took the time to introduce themselves, and shared each step in their routine. Even in the OR, a BIG thank you to whomever was holding my hand as I drifted away, it meant a lot as I lost my mother to a similar procedure many years ago. The whole team was amazing, I do not have a single complaint. Well done everyone, and God Bless reach one of you!

I'm having a hip replacement & everyone I saw at the hospital was very kind to me. I had to go around to a number of pre op appointments in different areas in the hospital to get me ready for the my surgery & my nurses, x-ray technicians, phlebotomy specialists & anesthesiologist were all very nice & made me feel very comfortable.

I had a surgical procedure done today. I have never in my 6 surgeries ever experienced such amazing care. It was my first experience in Kemptville. From the lovely lady at the Front door who welcomed me brought me up to the surgical floor to all the nurses, anesthesiologist and of course my surgeon Dr Leriche. I felt extremely comfortable and well cared for from start to finish right up until I was wheeled to my car. Amazing. I certainly didn't feel like a number today. Well done.

Went in to check an injured ankle. Waited hours to be looked at for a whole 60 seconds. Doctor didn’t even read xray properly and had to find out after on MyChart that I had to go back in. Then began the process all over again.

I brought my son into the ER in a bit of a panic, admittedly. The nurses, doctor and staff were all amazing there. We were fortunate to not have too long of a wait. The doctor was so kind to my 7 year old son. This Mama is grateful for the quick actions of the staff at KDH.

All proceeds go toward this very worthwhile cause… run by volunteers…. I highly recommend this lovely shop and will definitely be back!!

I used to love having this hospital 12 min from home. After being terribly mistreated by the telephone operator I will be driving the 25.min to Winchester instead. Dealing with uncaring people during an emergency is not what anyone needs.

I was there for an appointment for a routine X-ray. Not an emergency. The reception staff somehow missed that, even though it was the first thing I told the Covid checker. and after the Covid questionnaire, I was told to sit and wait. An hour later they sent me to another interview which eventually I realised was triage. When I expressed surprise at what info they needed, as I was only there for an X-ray, that was ignored. Eventually I reached reception, where finally someone was concentrating, and I was directed to the X-ray department. I was over an hour late for my appointment, completely the fault of the hospital.

About two weeks ago I went to the KDH ED because I fainted at work- out of all the EDs I’ve been to, KDH was by far the best, for being a small hospital they sure can accomplish a lot. I was the second person in line for triage, I didnt even have to wait 30 minutes and the. To be taken back was only another 15-25 minutes! The team approach is very obvious and well used, especially with nursing staff. I had probably seen each nurse that was working, and they all worked together to provide excellent care! The only downside is the lack of CT, I ended up needing to be transferred for one, but I understand they are trying to get a scanner. Amazing job KDH ED!

Triaged and seen by a doctor in record time. They made absolutely sure that I was good before discharging me. I cannot even begin to describe the gratitude I have for the professionalism of the staff. Especially Dr. Johnny Darren Brisebois. Thank you so much for the amount of tests and time you took to make sure my heart was in great working order. Again, I cannot even begin to express my gratitude to the entire staff that make the entire thing tick like a clock.

A shout out to the staff today. Mary-an, Wendy and…sorry anesthesia :-). So clean. So pleasant and professional. So on time! So kind and personal vs. Cold and sterilized. Thank you! Prior to this, have taken kids there and always excellent service with “reasonable “ wait times.

Amazing all over experience in emerg on October 11th in the early evening. My 2 year was seen at triage and immediately brought back to a room where a nurse and physician assessed him right away and administered meds to help with his breathing. He was then monitored overnight with care and compassion from everyone who stepped in our room. An example of our healthcare system working like it should! Thank you to everyone working at Kemptville hospital who made our stay as good as can be. You are all overworked and tired but everything you do is appreciated!

never been to the place before, got a tick at 2 in the morning, called to see if it was okay if i stopped by to get it removed, staff said come on over we have 24/7 doctors that can sort that out quickly, drove over at 2am, setup my profile with them in under 3 minutes, got checked out by a very kind doctor, everything worked out, left and was home by 3am. very quick and kind staff.

Usually my go to for emergencies. Much better than Brockville General but not as good as CHEO. Today is my fourth day in a row having to be at the hospital and I was supposed to have an ultrasound done. Walked to registration with my mum and they tried to make her go home due to covid restrictions. I’m 15. Staff were dismissive and pushy.. I hope this is just a fluke

Haven't been here in over 10 years and had a scheduled appointment for an Xray. Extremely impressed with the staff and volunteers. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a friendly volunteer who provided me with details pertaining to parking, and where I should go for my appointment. Extremely helpful. The process was so efficient. I was in and out of the hospital in 30 minutes. I have not experienced Emergency in-take yet. Based on reviews wait times appear to be quite long but likely not the fault of the hospital but mostly Queens Park and Ontario Government. If I ever make use of Emergency I will update this review. Great job to all at KDH!

Amazing. Dislocated toe - went to BGH (brockville) the day before, waiting 1.5 hours for triage and was told it would be a 10 hour wait. TEN HOURS! there was a suicidal woman and a man holding his chest - neither one was looked at for an emergency. If they weren't an emergency, I knew my toe sure wouldn't be either. Next day, went to Kemptville. Within 3 hours - triage, nurse, doctor, freezing, toe relocated, xray and update. Three hours - was amazing. Doctor was great and dealt with my freak out over a needle. Patient and kind. Kudos Kemptville!

I was in the day surgery unit on May 22, 2019 and received the best compassionate care from all the staff! From the pre-OP, to the operating room, to the post-OP recovery. What a cute lil hospital with helpful volunteers. It was very clean and tidy. I would recommend this hospital for any surgery.

Went for knee surgery yesterday (April 12 2019). Every single person that I dealt with was awesome, professional, friendly and very helpful. I have A LOT of anxiety pre and post OP and they were quite sympathetic without going over board with it. They helped me when needed and since I get so paranoid when being put under, the operating room nurse held my hand and talked to me soothingly and reassuringly until I was completely out. They also understood my claustrophobia about elevators and didn't just ignore that this was a massive issue for me, especially with already being extra anxious. My surgeon is Ottawa based but comes to Kemptville to perform procedures there so it saved me that extra half hour to get there. Highly satisfied with how the whole experience went. I'll definitely go there for any important issues as opposed to the Brockville one, any day!!!

I was able to get 2 x-rays after another appointment, adding just 30 minutes, even though they warned it could be a long wait. Previous visit to emergency and taking someone else there were good, experiences - doctors are skilled and everything seemed efficiently run.

Wait times are horrific, I'll only go if I'm sure I'm dying. 6 hours was the best and 12 the worst for our last 5 trips there. When a 4 year old has a fever of 104 do you know how hard it is to wait for 8 hours to see a doctor for 3 minutes? I emailed the CEO to ask what our community can do to help, or if he has made any plans to fix this problem, and I never even got a basic reply. Absolutely terrible!

Just spoke with my sobbing daughter on the phone as she informs me she has been sitting in your emergency department since before noon with her 5 month old. It's now 10 P.M. Other patients who have come after her have been seen and left, meanwhile she sits there with a wee baby who may very well have croup or pneumonia and still not seen!! No one can give her an answer as to when this little baby will be seen and no one seems to really care. This is completely unacceptable!!! What on earth is going on?!?
