My
recent
experience
at
Dijklander
Hospital
left
me
utterly
dissatisfied
and
frustrated.
After
suffering
an
accident
resulting
in
a
broken
finger,
I
expected
prompt
and
efficient
medical
care.
However,
what
I
encountered
was
a
series
of
disappointments
and
miscommunications
that
reflected
poorly
on
the
hospital's
professionalism
and
patient
care.
Upon
arrival,
I
encountered
an
unfriendly
receptionist
who
seemed
inconvenienced
by
my
presence
and
language
preference.
Despite
providing
documentation
from
my
family
doctor,
I
was
initially
turned
away
due
to
a
lack
of
appointment.
It
took
unnecessary
effort
and
time
to
convince
the
receptionist
of
my
situation,
which
should
have
been
handled
with
empathy
and
urgency
from
the
outset.
After
eventually
being
directed
to
the
appropriate
department,
I
endured
an
excruciating
wait
of
over
two
hours,
during
which
individuals
arriving
after
me
were
inexplicably
prioritized.
The
lack
of
organization
and
disregard
for
patient
schedules
was
glaringly
evident
and
deeply
frustrating.
Even
after
voicing
my
concerns
to
the
staff,
it
was
only
through
persistence
and
intervention
from
a
helpful
doctor
that
I
was
able
to
receive
the
necessary
attention.
The
subsequent
treatment
process
was
marked
by
further
delays
and
inefficiencies,
culminating
in
a
hurried
examination
and
a
makeshift
solution
that
left
much
to
be
desired.
To
add
insult
to
injury,
the
billing
process
was
equally
egregious.
Despite
assurances
of
coverage
under
my
insurance
plan,
I
was
blindsided
by
unexpected
charges
totaling
€330.90,
30.90euros
I
pay
after
a
short
time
thinking
that's
all
and
after
approximately
5
months
I
got
another
bill
of
300euros
which
seemed
exorbitant
considering
the
quality
of
care
received.
In
retrospect,
the
entire
ordeal
was
marred
by
incompetence,
indifference,
and
a
blatant
disregard
for
patient
well-being.
My
confidence
in
Dijklander
Hospital
has
been
irreparably
shaken,
and
I
strongly
caution
others
against
seeking
medical
assistance
from
an
establishment
that
prioritizes
bureaucracy
over
patient
care.
It
is
my
sincere
hope
that
this
feedback
serves
as
a
catalyst
for
much-needed
improvements
within
the
hospital's
administrative
and
medical
practices.
