Amazing tour guide, and great tour! Learned a great deal - super informative and enlightening. I really hope these tours continue so that the stigma and discrimination surrounding sex work diminishes. Highly recommended tour :).

Informative sneak-peak into the lives of sex workers in the Amsterdam Red Light district. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to put all questions and information into the right context. I can imagine that if it’s your first time in the Red Light district, you might wanna do another tour first on the surroundings. Once you know the lay of the land, this tour gives you such valuable and interesting, first-hand information. Thanks!

A comprehensive insight into the world of window sex work in Amsterdam. The Wednesday evening tour left me with an understanding of the laws, finances, health, safety, history, rights and culture of Amsterdam sex workers. Our guide, Jacqueline, was knowledgeable, open to any questions, and modelled the respect that I'd love all tourists to show at the windows. An Amsterdam highlight and well worth the price and time!

Unfortunately most reviews are from people who never did the tour and would like to try and bash them. It was a fantastic tour giving lots of information on the history or the red light district, how it is now and what political challenges they are facing for the future. In the tour they really cover just about everything but you are also welcome to ask as many questions as you’d like. I could not recommend this tour more for those who really want to understand the profession.

I'm glad I took the time to take part in the talk in PIC, it was a priceless insight on the topic of sexwork. The Lady who was the speaker was lovely and well-informed. I got to know a lot about the local situation and all of my questions and doubts were answered patiently and widely. I can recommend the talk to anybody, whatever your perspective on sexwork is and I hope to come back for some nice conversation next time I visit Amsterdam.

A very great tour to learn about the Red Light District and about health, safety, money and the legal aspect of sex work from the sex workers themselves, far away from the cliches usually heard. Great atmosphere and valuable and clear information given to the participants. None of your questions will stay unanswered!

This place is a gem! The people that work there know their stuff, because they are sexworkers themselves, so you know you're not being fed nonsense. Also the tours they provide are highly recommendable. Again, these guides know what they're talking about and give you a) good information and b) a nice tour around the oldest part of Amsterdam! If you want to book just one tour across the red light district, choose this one!

Excellent tour/talk discussing sex work from the perspective of the workers themselves, including details about their work/schedule, their perspectives, their sense of community, and struggles they continue to face with the city and society as a whole. Changed my perspective of the sex workers in the city and was just a fun/open conversation with the host. You talk to the host for a while, explore the red light district on your own (since tours are officially banned by the city), and come back for more questions/convo. Interesting/fun. Do it before the city shuts down the red light district as we know it & support sex workers!

This was unquestionably one of the best walking tours I’ve been on. Our guide was informative and heartfelt, I feel like I learned so much more from this tour than I would have on a standard Red Light tour. If you’re going to do a Red Light tour, I highly recommend this one!

I booked this talk and attended with my son on a recent trip to Amsterdam. We have been to Amsterdam many times, and done a number of tours who have mentioned the red light district, but the talk provided by PIC was a very different - but also very interesting and important - view on things. It was very good for both of us to learn the historical and current reality of s3x workers in Amsterdam and The Netherlands from actual s3x workers. Highly recommended.

Fantastic. I intitially went in to learn more about the Erotic Center from the perspective of Sex Workers and ended up with more than enough to fill my head up. That was aside from the immense amount of history given and fun little quirks about the red light district they pointed out (there's plenty to learn if you don't have a specific question in mind too). Can't recommend enough.

I have to be frank in my review as I have mixed feelings. I really think the concept of the PIC is amazing, however the person giving the talk chose the wrong approach to it I believe. He was a bit hostile (not towards me but towards one of the other guys who booked the talk) and kept saying “if you let me finish” every time he offered a question. The guy was young and clearly trying his hardest to be very polite and state his questions in an appropriate way but the person giving the talk kept being very aggressive towards him. That being said, the person giving the talk is really kind and was super nice to us however I’m just not sure this is the right person to give such a talk. They don’t seem to be sensitive to the fact that most people have never encountered sex work before, and the sex worker that gives this talk should be one that is perhaps more open about the fact that such work is unique to the Netherlands instead of being somewhat aggressive towards people who have never experienced it before. However the idea of the center is great. Nevertheless, it’s not worth 50 euros for two people, maybe 30 maybe 20, but for a piece of paper map and a discussion that is partially rude towards some of the clientele it is not worth it. Interesting to hear about it all first hand though, and we appreciate the openness.

Is it worthy for almost 15 euro, definitely not. Is it a special moment that you will be bringing up later with friends or families? Definitely yes!

Unfortunately couldn't do the tour due to personal time constraints but local workers were lovely to chat to and walked away with some awesome SW related books & gifts. Thanks for the hospitality!

If you're interested in the history and the real lives of sex workers in Amsterdam's Red Light District, this is the only place to go! Honest, informative, and ready for any question you might have. All the funds support the work the PIC does in supporting Amsterdam's sex workers, which after you visit the PIC you realize is absolutely vital. Please consider visiting and supporting!!

I walked by out of curiosity as I haven’t heard about this place before. The lady there was very informative, provided relevant information and lots of examples from experience. I think her name was Nathalie. She was really good with a group of students that was there as well! Thanks

This was the most interesting and informative tour of de Wallen, and a real history and first hand knowledge of how the red light district operates. Bear was the best host and I will continue to support and take my visitors here!
