I’ve
bean
living
life
on
the
veg
Do
make
a
visit
to
Do
Chay!
You
will
not
regret
it.
The
vegan
and
vegetarian
food
here
is
some
of
the
best
I’ve
eaten.
You
will
feel
satisfied
with
none
of
the
heavy
feeling.
I
still
remember
my
first
visit
@eatdochay
here
trying
out
their
avocado
pho
a
while
ago.
They
have
a
new
location
in
Yaletown
and
lots
of
new
creative
dishes
to
try.
Here’s
my
order
•Spring
rolls
•Coconut
rice
cakes
•Green
beans
•Desert
Island
noodles
•Spicy
Guava
margarita
•Fresh
young
coconut
The
coco
rice
cakes
(banh
knot)
are
a
crowd
pleaser
and
it’s
a
must
order!
It’s
cast
iron
seared
coconut
milk
rice
cakes
with
mung
beans,
jicama,
onion
and
“ish”
sauce.
There
are
many
dimensions
of
flavours.
You
have
some
sweetness
from
the
coconut
mixed
with
the
savoury
and
it
cumulates
into
a
heavenly
bite
with
the
dipping
sauce.
I
usually
order
the
monsoon
rolls
but
this
time
I
opted
for
the
crispy
spring
rolls.
Honestly,
you
can’t
go
wrong
with
either
choice.
The
XO
green
beans
were
super
addicting!
It
was
perfectly
wok
tossed
with
spicy
mushroom
sauce!
The
Desert
Island
noodles
were
another
winner!
The
noodles
were
as
thick
as
udon
but
less
chewy
as
it’s
made
from
rice.
The
dish
had
vegan
meatballs
with
a
loose
texture
and
taste
of
nuts.
Overall,
a
good
amount
of
umami
and
I
would
order
again.
The
vibe
is
relaxing
and
they
have
a
popular
patio
in
the
back.
The
“Ish”
sauce
is
their
house
made
vegan
substitute
for
fish
sauce.
I’m
guessing
it
made
from
a
complex
mixture
of
many
ingredients
but
fermented
mung
beans
is
what
gives
it
the
fish
like
aroma.
I’m
not
a
vegan
🌱
but
@eatdochay
does
satisfy
this
meat
lover😜
You
feel
fulfilled
without
the
guilt.
I
highly
recommend
this
place
and
I’m
looking
forward
to
trying
out
their
Yaletown
location
and
trying
out
some
new
dishes!
