Our family doctor is here. We can't change to another family doctor since there are no family doctors available in our area. So we're stuck at this bad service clinic. And the Malvern Medical Centre moved to more than half an hour away from it's original location. Before, it was about a 10 min drive to the clinic. The clinic is located on the 5th floor of the building. The washrooms are right across the elevators. You can check in for your appointment with the receptionist or you can check in with the self service touch screen screen. The problem with this clinic is that booking a phone call appointment is a hit or miss. You book online if you want a phone call appointment. What I mean by a hit or miss is that sometimes the doctor will not call you for the whole entire day and skip your appointment time. And then they will say that "I did call you and left a message", which is a lie- there was no message on the answering machine. So, you have to phone into the clinic and book an in-person appointment. When you phone into the clinic, you spend more than an hour waiting to book an appointment. The waiting room isn't that big like the previous location. The service from the doctors at this clinic isn't that good. Some doctors would not help you get the services that you need, or medicines that you need to be on. Other times, they don't listen to your concerns and worries when there's a problem with your health. So their "help" is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's decent, other times it real bad. There's a lot of delay in seeing you at your scheduled appointment time. When booking appointments, sometimes you get a early appointment in the week, other times you get it 2-3 weeks later. Sometimes you can get an appointment on the day you called and other times you could get an appointment within the next few days either morning or afternoon. I heard that their front desk receptionist is understaffed and lots of people come and go... So, maybe that's why when booking an in-person appointment, it takes so long. The clinic is really busy and full. I believe that no doctor in the clinic is willing to take new clients. If you already have a doctor here, a family doctor... I suggest not leaving. Since currently, there isn't enough family doctors within the city, you risk losing your only family doctor. Though if your family doctor doesn't have the time and day to see you, you're going to have to go into a walk in clinic. Good luck.

My issue is not with the staff at the front desk or the cost to park there. My issue is with my former doctor. I was unaware that my doctor decided to drop me as a patient. I was also unaware that the clinic had actually moved. To get an appointment with her takes 2-3 weeks from when you try to book the appointment. Has been like that for years. Then I am questioned as to why I am going to walk-in clinics when I should be making an appointment with her. Well if I have strep throat I am not going to wait for 3 weeks to see her to get antibiotics. They sent no notice at all that I had been dropped as a patient. Very disappointing......off to find a new doctor. RESPONSE TO OWNER: SO NICE THAT YOU ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT PATIENTS. YOUR DOCTORS MUST NOTIFY PATIENTS THAT THEY ARE DE-ROSTERING THEM! Maybe you need to take a good look at the people that you employ.

Every time I call here for the past 5 years I have to silently pray to reach someone understanding, not rude, empathetic, who actually listens. Today I got all of that. Finally they are making a huge improvement with reception staff. I spoke to Donna today, she was patient, understanding, helpful, and most of all KIND. My doctor is the best doctor (Dr KO) I’ve ever known which is why I keep going here, but honestly I feel so happy with the service today. I pray it continues.

We love our family Doctor, that's a only one reason we keep coming to this unpleasant clinic. The front desk people are worst ones. They don't understand what we are speaking , one of them gave a telephone appointment for next month, she took almost half an hour to finish the task, there was a long line waiting, she doesn't care about it.They are not efficient, not friendly and not even fast enough to work in a busy office!# there are so many talented young people out there looking for job. Management #! Please provide us a good service. They are charging people $1 for a one mask! Every doctors office offering mask, free of charge... Even for parking you're charging a lot, when the Doctor seeing us 35minutes late, from the appointment time, is it our fault? Why we are paying unnecessary parking ticket charges? People like to go to walk- ins, because of these kind of bad service.

I have been a patient at Malvern Medical, over 20 years. I have to give thanks to the staff, that went out of there way to help. They made sure my concern was dealt with. Thanks to Indra and Joan. Thank you. it would be great if they could work on the doctor and appointment times

Malvern has gone to the dogs. The days of the caring health industry are disgusting. First Malvern relocated to a building that charges old people an arm and a leg for parking. People on fix income can not afford this. Then they charge you for a masks. If Mask is mandatory. Why will you charge for a facial mask ? It ought to be free. Again, patients on fix income impact family life. It's taking a toll and its financial hardship. Ontario, do something right. This business tactics excuse Covid19 can not work any longer. Another issue I had with staff working arrogant. I witness a girl who works there pushing her way through to get on the elevator. Close call to pushing down a eldery woman who uses a roller walker to support herself whikw walking. The eldery woman who was in front of the elevator awaiting for the elevator to open. But the elevator was going down. We were going up.( This woman , employee who was wearing the medix symbol on her dark blue shirt.) So i said excuse me. The employee replied "are you talking to me? I said yes. I continue. You almost push the old woman on the floor. No respect. This employee fan me off with her hand while telling me to" shut up,whatever get a life."This is the new Malvern. Disgusting 🫣

My review pertains to a specific doctor, not the medical complex. Dr. Tom Bacher is the absolute best doctor I've ever interacted with. I feel so fortunate that a friend recommended him to me. I had just returned to Canada and needed a family doctor. I was able to arrange an appt quickly. At the EXACT time of my appt Dr. Bacher came to the waiting area and got me...no really, this actually happened. While at this first meeting I told him I needed a cardiologist having had a heart attack abroad months prior. He picked up the phone and got me an appt the following week...no really, this actually happened. Could go on and on. I just have never seen a more caring, engaged, interested, sharp, active, empathic, gets things done himself doctor. Ever. I could move to Sault Ste Marie and I'd keep this guy as my doctor. None better.

Dr. Neil Ingber is the best! Very knowledgeable and it’s evident that he has been working really hard to improve his practice and provide the best he can for his patients. Not sure if I can say he’s perfect, but he is no doubt going to be, if not already, one of the best doctors in this city maybe even this country. Highly advisable to bring a mask as it’s pretty common-sense that people visit the clinic when they’re sick. You should do your part to protect yourself and others. Appointments can be booked online via the website, it’s a fairly simple process. Overall, a very great clinic.

Every time that I call to make an appointment, and even despite being placed on hold, I receive the most friendly staff when my call is answered. I am grateful for their kindness and support during a difficult period for the world, and its health crisis. I have worked extensively with the public, and I'm sure it isn't easy to meet the needs of diverse calls on a daily basis. I want to commend Joanna, who I spoke with yesterday while booking an appointment. It was late in the evening and I'm sure she'd worked a long day, but we shared a laugh or two, and she was so pleasant and kind. I'm very grateful for people like her who are serving the public from the goodness of their heart. Thank you all!

I have been a patient at this medical centre for over 30 years and I am so thankful for the professionalism of the front desk staff, I have always found them to be helpful, patient, and kind. Today I spoke with Binah and she spent the time with me to update some of my personal information, she too was so lovely. I think these ladies deserve a medal.

They never ever pick up! Do not waste your time with this place. You’re not having phone issues! You incompetent staff just refuses to pick up! It’s been months since I’ve been able to successfully speak to a receptionist.

If you're calling the front desk you have to be extremely persistent. If you have questions about a service, how to change or get a new doctor, or any general inquiry you need to call. You can see from the comments they made under other reviews that they have the staff (I've personally seen they have at least 3 people at the desk at a time) so its not a staffing issue. Yet for some reason most of the calls drop after you are given the automated message to book an appointment online. But that doesn't answer my need...the reason I'm calling is because I don't always need an "appointment" I just have questions. Give yourself a month, and when you get time during the day call morning, afternoon, evenings, weekends, weekdays. I usually have success around noon towards the end of the week. Please fix your phone issue...

Worst place to have a doctor is at this medical center. You can never see your doctor when you need them. When you do get an appointment you don't need them anymore. Recently I've been waiting for a prescription renewal and it has been a couple weeks. My pharmacy has been faxing it to her no reply I have been calling the clinic almost everyday and they have received the fax and I have been waiting. Honestly I am not calling anymore. Just waiting to see how long they will give me the prescription that I really need to control my illness. Management is horrible. They've been reading all the reviews. People have been complaining and nothing has been done about this place. They need to change management

My family doctor is here, who is fine no complaints about that. But the service from the other staff is not good, they charge for providing a mask, and paid parking.

If you don't have nothing to do and don't mind waiting it's great clinic to waste your time waiting on your doctor. The staff is excellent but my doctor is the slowest of all.

Slow service and rude secretary staff. Show up for your appointment, expect to be seen minimum 4 hours after your allotted time.

Absolutely useless! My child and I have been going there for 6 years ONLY because it’s close to my home and unfortunately I do not drive. I’ve always had to deal with unprofessional staff, wait a ridiculous amount of time to see a doctor, and always got stuck with the same doctor who is just flat out rude. When I had most recently spoken to the receptionist in order to make an appointment, I was told that they will no longer be accepting new patients and I have to go see my family doctor. I had explained to her that firstly, I do not have a family doctor, and secondly, that I had been to that clinic on numerous occasions over the past few years. All she said was “sorry”. In the midst of a pandemic where is one to seek medical attention when new clinics will not accept you, clinics you’ve given business to for years refuse to see you , and the emergency room is for actual emergency’s?

As a Newly Divorced Mother of 4? I brought all my children and myself to the walk in, for everything from a nose bleed to a severe allergy attack not yet diagnosed! For myself, countless appointments for a menagerie of ailments from bruised bones to broken ribs and for general health for women's health, you Name it! We went through it! Beginning in 2016!!! Each time I needed medical help with a GP, Dentist, Even Glasses for 3 of the 5 of us, EVERY SINGLE TIME, I was met with Respect, Care and yes the reception area was inundated with every kind of medical situation even emergencies, I witnessed so many things that could have gone wrong but were ALWAYS handled with Responsible decisions and actions and in the end these ladies and gents worked their weight in gold for each and every patient that came it! I Always left with a warm heart and my Dignity intact! Even the small Pharmacy attendants were so great and helpful. I am truly grateful for all of the Medical Teams that I needed and received help from. What Shocked me was: The Absolute Disrespect they had to endure from all manner of people coming to their desk! I was so very grateful for every second of medical attention myself and my family received! People need to Calm down and remember that this particular STAFF? Work very hard and have a Saint's level of patience! So many people were so ungrateful and self important It disappointed me to no end! I had to explain this terrible behavior to my children who patiently waited their turn! Children as most of us may know have little to no patience! My babies always tried to do their best, and honestly after watching grown adults acting so rudely and how affected others were around them? I was impressed as they immediately did their absolute best to keep other children calm and distracted! I'm not saying my kids are perfect but they certainly made me proud during that terrible time in our lives! The STAFF SHOULD BE CELEBRATED EACH AND EVERY DAY!!! The Doctors and Nurses as well were so wonderful! In every single department we went through! Perspective is always key in these matters. If you are so upset that you need to fight the STAFF and Other patient's? Take a deep breath and stay calm, remember that this staff is dealing with so many patients at one time you are not the only one and your illness although you may be feeling terribly, could very well be less urgent that someone else! Medical Center's are not there to work for you and only you; they are there to Help ALL OF US! Do Better, Be Kind and Show Compassion for even the tiniest of situations!

Great health clinic. I was new in the area 6 years ago and I took my 2 youngest kids and myself there for a walk in we were very sick with respatory infections. The doctor we saw that was on call asked if we needed a doctor and I said yes she took us on right away. We then got a pediatrician for my youngest daughter who is also fantastic.

Receptionist terrible takes 3 days before someone picks up the phone. They all have their own policies on how the clinic runs. Maybe the doctors are great but nothing is worth the treatment the front desk staff dishes out. Not the kind of people you want to get caught dealing with when your sick. Hope they can fix this soon.

An absolute shame. I have been a patient of this clinic under carriage of Dr. Lerner for more 37 years. This clinic and my family doctor were like family to me. The only place I could go who had my complete history, who knew everything from my physical, to mental to sexual health – from the age of 6 and I am now 45 years old. I didn’t have a need to go to the Dr. for the past 5 years and now I had a pretty serious problem and needed help. My mom told me Dr. Lerner had retired but the clinic would help me and to book with Dr. Charyk or Dr. Inber. Here is what happened: • Tried to book for Friday Dec 15 at 8am – booking system failed. • Called in, gave my file number and was told I had the appointment for Dec 15 at 8am. • On the date of my appointment I arrived at the location where they had been for more than 30 years and learned they had moved – no mention of this when I booked the appointment. • As I drove to the new location I called to tell them the mix up. • Then they told me I didn’t have an appointment, then they told me the Dr. had gotten too busy and moved the appointment to 6:45am!!!! They didn’t even contact me to say that and what an odd time. She then told me at 9am I could see Dr. Charyk. I got there and at 9am Dr Charyk came out and this was the shocker: • He asked me “what are you doing here” and not in a nice way – like I should have known something or like I had done something wrong. He spoke to me like I was dirt. • He then refused to see me and also said I would need another family Dr. and he wasn’t taking Dr. Lerners patients. Let me just say – Dr. Lerner, Dr. Ingber and Dr. Charyk are three of the original doctors in this practice, in fact in my life I have been treated by Dr. Charyk when Dr. Lerner wasn’t available. I had an appointment and for none other then what has turned into quite a nasty attitude – he refused to see me, and even if he didn’t want to be my family Dr. in place of Dr. Lerner I needed help and it would have taken him 10 minutes to render it. It also would have been no skin off of his nose to treat me like a human being, to try to get me my records, to get someone who could get me set-up with someone who could see me. He just sent me away like I was trash. Now I am left with no family Dr. I ended up waiting 5 ½ hours in the ER to see a doctor this weekend for a kidney infection just to get a prescription I could have easily gotten at Malvern Medical. I don’t even have or know where my medical records are. But worse I lost what I thought, who I thought would always be there for me and never thought would treat me with such a lack of compassion. Not a good feeling at all in a place where healthcare isn’t easy. Your relationship with your family doctor is an important one. But as we can see by all the bad reviews here – they don’t seem to care about patients anymore.

My doctor is on leave so another doctor has taken over her practice. That doctor is not on the list of doctors for the online booking portal. I have tried several times to call for an appointment and been waiting on hold for over a half an hour before giving up. It is quite frustrating
