Who doesn't know Mandain~ 🤷‍♀️ We grew up with place, didn't we? We came on Friday lunch around 12. We got the seats in about 10 minutes. The lunch didn't have much special menus, but it was fresh enough. Only salmon sashimi looked a little down the average, but I think it's hard to expect a lot from buffet. Servers were friendly and I liked salad and desserts 🍨 the most. It was fun to visit but it gets a little busy after 12:30

My friend and I celebrated our birthdays at the Markham branch, and we were truly impressed. The food was excellent, but what stood out even more was the staff's exceptional attitude. They were incredibly friendly and hospitable. To make our celebration even more special, they treated the birthday guests to complimentary meals and took a memorable picture. A special shout-out to Angela Wang, who went above and beyond to ensure our celebration was the best it could be with her exceptional hospitality.

3-generation family really enjoyed the selections in every category, the service, the cleanliness (including washrooms), and the overall ambiance, at a fair price for children, adults, and seniors. Even the coffee was pretty good, which you don't expect in Chinese restaurants. Would recommend that they raise the blinds to brighten the rooms, unless the sun is shining on people. I went ahead and raised the blinds closest to our table, since it was an overcast winter day. However, if their marketing intelligence says diners prefer dim rooms, that's okay with me. I'll just raise "my" blinds.

The quality of food was good and very good customer service. Everything was refilled so frequently and was so fresh. The ice cream section and seafood section was incredible. So tasty!

Alot of variety of food choice from breakfast, cold & hot seafood, noodles, chicken, well cooked salmon and soup choices. However, limited variety on fruits and leafy vegetables. Also, no cooked mussels or scallops available. Dessert was tasty including ice cream and frozen yogurt.

It’s been years we have gone to this restaurant, and honestly they did go down hill during covid. Although I must say I don’t if they changed their system or management but everything was truly amazing. The service what outstanding along with the food.

This is one of our favourite restaurants, with an incredible buffet full of yummy foods and a perfect variety of desserts, which is my favourite part. We always enjoy our time at the Mandarin Restaurant. Refilling the water regularly and taking extra plates off the table are part of their great services.

What I liked most about Mandarin was the diversity of dishes and cuisines available. The entire lunch menu is extremely nice and the service is excellent, plus it's definitely not an expensive place. The only thing I would change is the quality of the desserts: the cakes were very, very sweet, the palmier had a very strong taste of fat and butter, the mini desserts (like the brownie for example) tasted burnt. If you only go for lunch, I highly recommend Mandarin.

My family celebrated their birthdays here this year and last year for their 18th and 50th birthday. The service was good and the food was amazing. Hubert, the manager, was helpful and kind.

Great service and variety of food. So much to choose from and fresh. Loved the freshly made cotton candy for the kids. Very clean restaurant. Nice pond at the entrance. Bathrooms were clean and well supplied. Fast service even though it was busy. One of the best mandarins weve been to

Not a fan of the Mandarin but I will go when the group of friends wants to go First time at this location service was good. I guess for lunch there isn't as much selection as dinner. There was no chicken fried rice I opted for vegetable fried rice. The desert bar was okay no Nanaimo bars. Very clean mandarin.

I visited this place for the first time. They serve all sort of seafood, fried and grilled, however, no oysters or crab legs. Very nice staff. Great food and great service by Angela. Will definitely come back.

Good selection of food, most items are hit or miss. Their dessert section is just as varied as their mains. The servers are polite and diligent. It’s been a while since I’ve been to mandarin, but it’s just as I remembered and a bit more expensive.

The servers were very kind and quick. One of the servers made it memorable by bringing a cake slice and snapping a picture for my early birthday celebration. Also, there is a great variety of food options and beverages at the lunch buffet.

The all-you-can-eat experience at the Mandarin restaurant is a delightful culinary adventure. The extensive buffet offers a wide array of fresh and flavorful dishes, from savory stir-fries to delectable sushi selections. The constant replenishment ensures a steady stream of hot, delicious options. While the ambiance may be bustling, the attentive staff and efficient service contribute to an enjoyable dining experience. The variety of desserts adds a sweet note to the meal. A great choice for those looking to indulge in diverse, high-quality Asian cuisine.

I loved shrimp and salmon with veggie plate .pretty collection of Asian cuisine. All desserts and fruit also were good! Tina was very nice and helpful. Price for lunch is acceptable. I like also decoration of restaurant.

Had a wonderful time at the Mandarin here in Markham. Both Suzy and Tina were excellent. Overall the customer service, food and restaurant itself, was fabulous. Will be returning.

I generally don’t like buffet style because qualities are low and there is a lot of waste but went to to try since I heard good things about it I found some food to be ok to eat. Shrimps are good, and the battered fish is delicious. I also like stir fry vegetables , crab salad and grilled pineapple When trying to call to make reservations, it doesn’t even ring and goes straight to a voice recording saying voicemail is not initialized

I haven’t eaten at the Mandarin for years, mostly due to the fact I’ve been trying to lose weight, and Chinese buffet + healthy eating aren’t normally in the same sentence! Fast Forward eight years, excess weight is now lost, can I now enjoy the Mandarin again while sticking to my new way of eating: whole foods and controlled potions. I started with roast beef and steamed broccoli, it was delicious. My second plate was a few pork ribs and more vegetables. My dessert was a garden salad with lemon juice. I drank a Diet Coke and water. I skipped the deep fried and starchy sauces and sugar, and did okay. I left feeling content but not stuffed. The staff was really friendly and very accommodating. It wasn’t cheap but what is these days? A nice meal out costs about $40 per person and that’s about what we spent. Overall, good value and very happy with our night out.

We went to Mandarin on Mother's Day. The buffet was very good but, the amount of people in the restaurant really concerned me. In my opinion it was very crowded and really tight to get around to get your buffet food. Maskless customers of course a few people coughing 😒🙄 !! That made me super nervous, so we ate very fast at left as soon as we were done......Unless they space the tables apart, we will not be going back although the buffet food was nice.

We tried this place again and it was great. The owners really care about their customers and we all left super stuffed. And they had plenty of prime rib!

I normally don’t leave reviews, however, today my servers were Tina,Angle,Eric,Jenny and I feel as though their service was too good to not leave a review. They were all really nice and welcoming. I was also pleased with how fast they were with requests I made.

Legit chinese restaurant! The price is good, about 30cad. They offer several options for a buffet - salmon sashimi, salmon fillet steak, shrimps, hakaw, fried rice, lo mien and other chinese food. Wide options for dessert but haven't tried the pastries. Frozen yogurt tasted decent. Many ice cream options available such as butterscotch, cookies and cream, cappucino. Place is clean and although many people come to visit, place does not feel "cramped". Will definitely go back!

Satisfied with the service and a great variety of food. Yet, some dishes like grilled chicken and salads were stale. In general, enjoyed the noodle soup and pastries.

I used to come here pre-covid very often in the weekends to enjoy their crab legs. I find it difficult to give a full 5 star for this restaurant until the crab legs return, even though the financial situation every business like this went through during the pandemic is understandable. The service is on the better end and the interior is nice, but the overall food's quality (freshness, variety in taste, and dish selection) currently does not feel its worth for the pricing.

It is normally a good experience in the other Mandarin locations, but this one in Markham, I found cold food , raw beef, less buffet options and they don't show the sashimi ( I have to ask for that), the hot towel that they offer me at the end had a bad smell when they are lemon nice smell also one lady from kitchen was adding noodles in the buffet and her rag was smelling bad. The service from waiters was slower, too 😑. I still have a nice dinner 🍽 and the food had a good taste, if this was my first time ever I probably didn't try the other locations, fortunately I tried the other ones and I can say is my favorite buffet restaurant 😋.

My top score is based on my needs of basic lodging and minimum service. I did not expect a 5 star hotel as I don't need all the extra fancy services. It's quite comfortable and convenient for a student's residence. I used my car to shop and eat around.

This place way overcharges for less than sub part food! There wasn't really anything that actually tasted good 🙄 Their "gravy" tasted like I straight up just ate a bouillon cube 😑 It also made my tongue go numb. Overall the company shared was amazing 💕 But as a party of 20 that was guaranteed one long table when reserved ahead of time, we walked in to be split into two separate groups 😅 The server was good though 👍
