I got prescription from emergency hospital last night and I had to get my med tonight. There was a small line up and this pharmacist took my prescription, told me to come back in 1 hour or when I get the text message. I waited for 2 hours for prescription drug and I still did not receive any text message so I went in to the shoppers to ask if my drug was ready. This lady said "oh we don't have that on stock, so go find other pharmacy." She did not apologize. I asked, "you could text me that drug is not on stock." And she said "I was busy." And that's it. I told her to apologize but she said it's not her fault, it's system's fault. If it was emergency, I could have died. I was really disappointed and I don't want anyone or any patient to experience the same problem. She can't be a pharmacist, she really should be fired. No responsibility, No respect.

I have been shopping at this location for many years without ever having an unpleasant experience until now. Recently, a friend bought me a fragrance which I found wasn't suitable for me after trying it out. When I attempted to return it at cosmetic section, a gentleman whose name I won't disclose in here, told me I couldn't because I had opened the plastic cover. I wasn't aware of this policy, and neither was my friend when they purchased it. The employee started lecturing me about trying samples before buying, claiming that it's common sense. I explained that it was a gift, and his statement couldn't be applied to every situation. I already felt uncomfortable at this point, but the supervisor advised me to speak to the manager the next day, which I agreed to do. However, upon reading the return policy, I couldn't find any mention of the plastic cover, so I raised my concern with the employee. He immediately became impatient and started raising his voice, telling me not to talk to him. I asked him to calm down and all I wants to know is the answer. but he continued to yell at me, rolling his eyes and making me feel disrespected. Im so confused, I ask him what did I do to deserve his horrible attitude like this? but he claimed that I was yelling at him and rolling my eyes, WHICH I WAS NOT!!! HOW CAN HE JUST LIE LIKE THIS IN FRONT OF MY FACE? He said that they were closing soon, and I should leave. from the beginning he kept interrupting me and talking over me. I left the store feeling angry and upset. The way he behaved was unacceptable and disgusting, and I wonder if this is how they train their staff on customer service. I refuse to let this go, and I will submit a formal complaint against this employee whether the company will take it seriously or not. Appropriate action must be taken, as no one should be treated this way.

Pharmacy service is absolutely dreadful. I have tried calling due to a medical issue at around 1.30am, and again at 1.40am yes its very late but this pharmacy is advertising 24hrs service. Anyway, I would highly suggest not bothering with them at all. I waited for about 20 mins on hold and not one person answered the phone. What is the point of advertising a service if you cannot live up to providing it. I'm so disappointed. You are a pharmacy I didn't call you because I'm bored...

I was trying to get a refund because I did not receive my point for the surprise point event so I went to the cashier for help. A women who I do not know her name is because she refused to tell me her name even I asked her twice. I'm not sure but I think she is a Indian women wearing a blue uniform. She talked me and my friends with a aggressive way and inappropriate attitude which seems like she wants to have a fight. I chose the option to receive the receipt by email while using self-check-out, but I didn't receive it by email. Then she complained to us about we are increasing her work because I didn’t have a printed receipt, even though we explained the situation. If she have told me that by the company regulation she couldn’t do a refund for me without receipt, I would have accepted it and understand the reason, but she was annoyed by us for the long line and that we increased her work. What I see is it only takes less than 1 minutes to print out my receipt. And when we asked her name, she got mad and yelled at us that we don’t have to know her name. We ending up leaving shoppers without knowing her name. It's all about her inappropriate service attitude, she forced us to speak in English when I was explaining the situation to my friend in Korean. Shoppers is place used by people of different races, and there must be people who are not fluent in English. Forcing those people, including myself, to only speak in English, should not happen in Canada, a country that human rights and freedom are the most important values. It was the worst experience at shoppers.

I was just there to pick up my prescription (September 25, around 7:45 PM to 8:00PM). The man at the pickup counter was so rude it was surprising. There were two other women working and Sally was super helpful and kind. I don't know what his problem is but I had issues with him before. Last time, I went to get my prescription transferred from another Shoppers pharmacy and he was unbelievably impatient and had such an aggressive energy. There wasn't even anyone else at the pharmacy and I was being very polite (because I didn't want him to get even more annoyed at me). "Do you not understand?" And "Do you not remember?" seems to be his favorite questions because he asked me that both times I interacted with him. I wasn't taking up too much of his time, I was being polite, but he just seems to have impatience and annoyance oozing out of his pores. This time around he couldn't be bothered to wait a couple of seconds for me to think about his questions before assuming that I didn't remember or understand what he was asking and tossed me to the consulting Pharmacist to deal with. There was no line up for pick up and this interaction lasted maybe a minute. Literally, I don't see a reason why he would be so impatient and rude. I saw him at the pick up counter and I almost decided not to pick up my meds today because I didn't want him to ruin my night, and he did not disappoint. Now I'm just wondering if he's like that with everyone or if he specifically has an issue with certain people? I just don't understand how someone could act so unprofessionally at a workplace.

Writing this review since I've had bad experience not once but twice. Today I was using the self checkout and as I was scanning my items, one of the staff walked by and told me I need to add bags to my cart. I pointed at my backpack and said "I have my own bags". I finished checking out, pulled out a PC optimum bag from my backpack and started packing my things. The same staff walks to me (leaving the customer at her counter) yelling "Excuse me miss, you have to pay for the bags, it's not free". The people in her queue look at me to see who the $0.05 bag theif is. I was kinda surprised and agitated at the same time. I replied, "I know, I brought this from home" And the staff says "oh " in a tone of disbelief and goes back to attend her customer. I was disappointed with the way they treat their customers. The only reason I go there is because the location is convenient. I'd rather walk extra to a different store.

Try to avoid getting prescription from there! My mom used to have her blister packs there, they forced us from picking up every 2 weeks to weekly pickup to milk more money (from govt if you are a senior) even during the pandemic while everyone trying to stay at home!! I used to pickup for my mom same time every week, all of a sudden they could told you it's not ready, it's out for delivery or it's been cancelled! But i never ask for delivery!!!!!! Who cancelled it???? How could you cancelled or delivered for someone who you forced them to pickup on a weekly basis? Many times i have to go there the 3rd time to get her blister pack and all these non-sense made a senior agitated by running out of med. It's totally unacceptable!! That's why i transferred my mom's med to another pharmacy and they are happy to make it a monthly pickup and never miss a thing like here. The owner called me 1 full week after I already switched my mom to follow up. You can imagine what could have happened if i just wait and not switching. I rather walk half or one block away to another SDM pharmacy, my prescription can easily been filled in a 20 mins wait instead of 3 days in 3 different trips.

This review is for the beauty boutique. Avoid this location guys. Staff with long curly blonde hair is so rude, has poor manners and speaks Arabic to other staff in front of customers. I came in, asked for permission to try a few things for a quick makeover as I have an unexpected meeting but I will be buying some other beauty items for sure. She said okay, however kept asking me if I would buy impatiently after each product and was staring at me all the time. I did end up buying some beauty items like I said but was a horrible experience.

Horrible encounter with the staff. I was at the fragrance department. I was testing the smell of some of the fragrances and taking pictures of the ones I liked. When I was leaving the store I was stop and accused of stealing! The staff demanded that I give the fragrance back. After I emptied by pockets showing that I did not steal anything they kicked me out. All the staff looked at me like I am a crazy person. I think the reason they ASSUMED that I stole something was because of the way I was dressed. I HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE INSULTED IN MY LIFE.

After my tooth surgery which was very hard and painful, I came here to pick up my medicine, the lady told me it will take up to 20 minutes for giving me 3 different tablets, I said ok. But even after 40 minutes, I asked if my things are ready, another lady very rude told me you just wait a little more than what we said!!! I got shocked, they had been late to make ready 3 tablets which were ready already and there is no respect for others. Also in the meantime, there was another man looks a friend of a worker, came there no wait in line and just by saying hi, how are you? Got his needs and left. The worker here makes this place like my back home, where the rude worker, unfortunately, came from.

I have used no less than 6 different Shoppers Drug Mart locations to pick up my regular prescriptions over the last 5 years. I have used this location out of necessity for the last 8 months. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME...I repeat...EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.....I have come in here after calling ahead to pick up my prescriptions, the pharmacy staff here give me some kind of problem. This is even after arriving at the time promised by the staff. Given that this happens every time without fail, I can confidently say the pharmacy staff at this location are either incompetent or are actively trying to sabotage this store. Although I have to travel further now for my prescriptions, I have not had even one single issue with the current Shoppers Drug Mart I use now. Someone from Shoppers corporate needs to look into what is happening at this store, because given the number of issues here, it is almost a guarantee that there are some regulatory rules being broken at this location. I have taken it upon myself to report this pharmacy to the Ontario College of Pharmacists with the hope that someone does something about this place. The sheer number of negative reviews for this location should indicate clearly that my experience is not an exception, but the standard of what people can expect when dealing with this pharmacy.

Made to feel like a thief. What is with this store??? I went in and to the drugstore cosmetics section and this lady in black from the beauty department (from the other side) almost runs to me and says let me know if you need help. I was like okay. Then I asked her about two shades which I was confused about. She helped me coldly(why offer if you have no intention to help) and then asked me if she can checkout for me. I told her no I need to buy other stuff. She then asked me what do you wanna buy. I said eggs, do you wanna accompany me? She said no no , you get them and i will help you checkout. I mean the eggs section is literally at the other end of the store. What is this kind of behaviour. And who is she to ask me what do i wanna buy. Almost felt racist (I am a brown woman) as another woman just picked multiple cosmetics and she said nothing absolutely nothing to her. I was headed to the eggs section but didn’t feel like it so just bought the lip color and walked out. Ridiculous!!!! I shop at all your stores never have i ever been treated like this!!!!! This happened right now like about half an hour ago!!! I will ensure that a relevant action is taken against her. I want to know if the owner is instructing such a behaviour. Will make sure appropriate action is taken!

Incompetent pharmacy. Puts urgent medication on hold - so much for the pharmacy being 24 hours? Needs to be reviewed by a pharmacist, waited another day and had to call in, in order for it to be worked on lmao. Pathetic. Also rude/non mask wearing pharmacist assistant giving mad attitude. Smh. You look like a clown putting your mask under your nose ma’am. So much for taking people’s health seriously. Never coming here again. Idiots.

This review is specific for their pharmacy, as our experience with the store in general is good. Even the pharmacy used to be better in the past. We went there for filling a medication and the service is low class. One highlight is the one of the pharmacists (for identification purposes, young Asian female in her twenties) who after wasting half an hour of our time for her to investigate details about our child's medication, before dispensing it, said that she cannot do that, with a smirk and a very condescending demeanor. She claimed that there is confusion in the information provided, which we are not responsible for in the first place. I have been a shoppers customer for over a decade with literally millions of points accumulated/spent on my Points card, and this pharmacist was one of the bad examples I have seen there.

I don't like posting negative reviews but I need to address this problem. The customer service at this Shoppers is severely lacking as of late. It almost feels like they want to get rid of you as soon as possible. For example, I decided to go in today and book a flu shot appointment. There was no one at the counter, and they have a sign that says to scan a QR code to book a FLU SHOT appointment. The words FLU SHOT were clearly present on the sign. I scanned the code but I didn't see an option for a flu shot. A pharmacy staff approached asking if I need anything I asked her why I couldn't find the flu shot option on their website and she responded with "we don't have flu shots." That was extremely confusing, because they literally had a sign on their front counter that says "for flu shot appointments scan here". And so I wanted to ask her more questions but she just disappeared afterwards. Later, I found out on the Shoppers website that the Yonge&Finch location was just out of appointments for the day, it's not that they don't provide flu shots. I think that apart from being rude and coming across as flippant to customers, you should at least give ACCURATE ANSWERS. She could have said "sorry, we're out of flu shots for today, come again tomorrow / try another drug store". By saying "we don't have flu shots" they made me think that they don't provide flu shots AT ALL, which would be contradictory to the info on their sign. I understand that pharmacies are busy, but I feel like at the very least you should treat your customers with the baseline amount of respect in giving them accurate information and also not running off so they are left in the dark after not answering their question properly.

Don’t bother to call them their phone is not ringing. They called me and I checked voicemail and she is saying so fast I need to repeat 5times to get the numbers when I’m sick. So I called them right away and I wasn’t hang up. I thought line up for calls. I was waiting for 30 minutes and I decided to go there while I’m on the phone. Guess what?! Their phone is not ringing or blinking or anything when I’m on hold on the phone. None of them. So I’m telling you do not bother to call them they will not answer because phones are not ringing 😊

This store has definitely gone downhill. Now, lining up for 20 minutes to pick up/drop off a prescription seems to be the norm. Doing groceries on a weekend morning? No point as most shelves are bare. Overheard employees talking on Sunday morning that there were only two people stocking overnight, hence the issue. Really needs to have staffing onsite to make this store what it could be.

The pharmacists and the staff are very helpful. However; ever since there has been a change in ownership(about the beginning of the pandemic) the management has brought down the service quality drastically. The majority of the staff are still the same as before, so the huge decline in the quality of their service must be due to the new owner. I used to get my girlfriends blister pack, once per month, these guys have changed it to weekly instead and when we asked for delivery, four weeks in a row they didn’t deliver. When we go there to pick up our meds, we asked about it, surprisingly, it was not ÿ fault of the person I was speaking with, and they couldn’t be sure who’s fault it was either. The lack of accountability was infuriating.

Pharmacy Review: Save yourself some precious time and mental drain - this pharmacy is a disaster from all aspects. Redirect/transfer your prescriptions elsewhere and do yourself a favor. If absolutely necessary and in dire need: 1. Be prepared to "wait 30 minutes at the pharmacy" for simple prescription fills. This is a common statement to hear from their staff. Everyone gets "30 minutes" 😂 2. Also, highly likely that they do not have a lot of common prescription drugs. They will "try and ask other nearby pharmacies and get back to you" 3. Grossly understaffed. 4. Don't try calling. Chances are greater that your phone will NEVER be picked up. Feedback based on 3-4 recent attempts to get a prescription filled here. Definitely not going again. Lessons learnt and moved on to much better and efficient pharmacies nearby in the area. "Expect the unexpected"

I bought some bags of diapers at the store this morning, and the lady at the cashier didn't ask if I wanted plastic bags. After I checked out my account and realized I couldn't handle it without plastic bags, I asked for buy some, and the lady was very rude and said they don't sell plastic bags individually? And then asked me, very unkindly, why I didn't say so at first? I do respect to those who work during the covid, the employees at this store were really RUDE!

They sold bad products, and lied about refund. Be careful of this store, they do fake refund in front of you, and never reply your inquiry. Filthy garbage store. Now I’ve read other reviews, I realize that what happened to me seems to be “normal”. As every employee in this store, from the manager to the cashier, holds extremely toxic attitude towards consumers. They owe me $11.9 ( $10.49+tax). 25 days, refund still not received. They sold products over the best date (4 months over the best date), did a fake refund in front of me (I haven't received the refund at all), and plays dead to my complains. They should be ashamed of taking my $11.9. What a bully store. On May 25th, I bought a bag of pecans and tasted one after leaving the store. The taste was extremely unpleasant. It was then that I realized the pecans were already expired, with a best date of January 23rd. That's a whole 4 months! I went back to the store and approached the cashier to request a refund. Despite the cashier processing the refund on the machine, her behavior and attitude were very strange. After hearing my request, she glanced at the bag a few times, looked at me, and didn't say a single word, nor did she show any apology or regret. I also noticed that the reason she selected for the refund on the machine was "customers don't want it." No, I did want to buy a bag of pecans, but I didn't want a bag of expired and unpleasant-tasting pecans! If these pecans hadn't been expired, I wouldn't have had to spend extra time coming back to the store to request a refund! So I tried to communicate with her, but she only said, "It's already refunded," and didn't say anything else. The cashier's behavior seemed to imply that I was making a fuss over nothing and causing trouble. This Shoppers is not the only store in the neighbourhood. No one will die without Shoppers. Great job of being a good liar and Grandet! 😊

The pharmacy staff need more education and help each other. I stool in line for 25 mins to get a refill. There was one assistant working with one patient for 10 mins before she finally asked for help, assistant #2 ?tried to help but then left. Another 10 mins later, assistant #3 finally came and helped assistant #1. Meanwhile the drop off line was getting longer. After another 5 mins the pharmacist finally asked another assistant to open a second drop off station. When I finally got helped. I was told I couldn't get bc it was an infrequently filled prescription that expired in the system. Had to prompt her to go ask the pharmacist if it was okay to fill, finally it was processed. I was told it was going to be a 1 hour wait for a single PRN inhaler. And I know there was no one else waiting bc they were still trying to help the first customer.

Everyday this pharmacy gets worse. There's at least 5 people behind the counter and one at the counter delivering medication. The line up for pick up is about 10 min, and they're taking over a day to fill the prescription. Definitely switching over to some other pharmacy.

I had a rather disheartening experience at this store recently, and I would like to share my story . It was the second time I found myself in a similar situation at this particular store. I strongly believe that the employees there need to be trained in treating people with respect and recognizing their inherent value as human beings. On Monday, May 22nd, 2023, at 9:55 PM, I decided to do some late-night shopping, spending approximately 30 minutes and I gathered about $70 worth of goods and proceeded to the checkout counter. The cashier, a lady wearing black eyeglasses with brown/yellow hair, responded with an audible sigh and an exclamation of "oh gosh" when I inquired about using a vendor coupon. To my surprise, she abruptly abandoned me to serve another male customer. Upon her return, she insisted that I shouldn't use the coupon because there were many people waiting. I suggested that I might use it next time, to which she replied, "No, I'll handle it." However, when I asked why the promotional discount hadn't been applied, she once again reprimanded me, saying, "Don't use your coupon when there are lots of people waiting" (who had conveniently appeared only after I approached the cashier). I felt emotionally bullied by her words and demeanor, and it left me deeply upset. I implore the store management to communicate to their cashier the importance of refraining from disrespectful and discriminatory behavior towards customers, especially when they wish to redeem coupons. A store should strive to attract customers, not alienate them. I believe an apology is owed to me by the store for the distressing encounter I endured.

Not well organized. They see customer waiting and they do not come to help you until they are finish at the back. They do not even acknowledge that you are there and say something like “ We will be with you shortly”. They just ignore you. I have been a couple of times in there. You could be waiting 20 minutes and see at least 5-6 people at the back and no one would even say a Hi, someone will be with you shortly. Even worse than that, you ask if somebody could help you and they can hear you, and just ignore you. After waiting for so long, they try to brush you off. I only go there when I do not have much of an option.

Purchased at self checkout and when leaving, a cashier who was dealing with her own line of customers started yelling that I had not paid for my 2 items. Very rude and unprofessional to make an unfounded accusation. From her position there's no way for her to be watching this anyway. If management has suspicions, hire a staff member or security guard to watch the self-service area. I have a real job and won't be shoplifting some <$10 purchase. Any by the way, unless you are prepared to make an arrest for shoplifting, what's the point of yelling at people at the door? It probably just confuses the staff and other customers to believing that there is more theft than actually occurring. Otherwise it's a nice store. Too bad staff ruined it completely.

This is for the pharmacy not store**** I tried filling my prescription, and have done so online twice now, beforehand. Once after Christmas, and another time after New Years, why? Because the pharmacy didn’t receive it. I understood it glitched which is why I call ahead as well to confirm before going in, also trying to give grace to this very busy location. I know and have seen the pharmacists do their best, I’ve been coming to this pharmacy for 2 years. Will I continue? Probably not I didn’t catch her name but I’m so disappointed with the customer service from the assistant or whomever she is, who picks up the phone and delegates. If this is your first person of contact I suggest serious sensitivity training (not that I’m belligerent, firm believer or treat others how you want to be treated), or changing staff member for point of contact with customers. Not only was she condescending because she assumes I don’t understand her? The condescension came from her telling me my prescription isn’t there and escalated to “how do you not know where you picked it up last?” I’ve told her multiple times on the phone, idk how my prescription got transferred or when, because my shoppers app told me the last location I picked it up from was Yonge and finch, the last TWO times I picked it up was from this location. She continued to condescend, I asked for help to figure out where it could be so I can get back onto my antidepressants that has already had 2 failed attempts. I don’t believe in yelling to get my point across, I asked her what’s going on with her customer service, she couldn’t answer, rushed me off the phone with “please hold on” which resulted in her hanging up immediately. This really didn’t have to result in anyone feeling any type of way, especially when I didn’t approach it like that. 5 stars for the actual location ****

The staff at the Post Office are very unprofessional and rude - The older guy told me to take back my package and return when there's nothing for them to do "extra", the "extra" refers to me asking them to tape a small box. I had to purchase a whole roll of tape because they wouldn't bother dispensing any, but they sure pack on the attitude. Absolutely terrible customer service.

We always shop at Shoppers Drug Mart conveniently. Unfortunately, some days before, we received a parking ticket after parking in their designated spot. It would have been helpful if the customer parking areas were more clearly marked. However, we approached Jason inside the store, who kindly took a picture of the ticket and promised to forward it to the owner. The next day, the owner called us and assured us he had taken care of the ticket, relieving us of any worries. We truly appreciate the excellent customer service the owner and Jason provided at this Shoppers Drug Mart.

Shoppers is really easy to get food, snacks and has a lot of options. I also get my prescriptions, vaccines and masks here. It’s also very convenient for me when I load my presto card or drop off a mail at shoppers.

I had a bad experience with the pharmacy. I needed antibiotics after my tooth surgery asap so decided get my medicine here due to convince. I was informed, the wait time is 30-40 minutes. After 40 minutes I received a call saying they don’t have the quantity of a certain medicine in my prescription. They did try to call up other pharmacies if they can transfer the prescription (which I’m grateful for). this took over an hour which I ended up asking them to please give me the limited amount of medicine (since I was in dire need of it asap). I ended up getting the medicine after “1.5 hour” after my initial visit.

Unbelievable customer service, truly astonishing how little the pharmacy members care for their patients. And there has not been a single time where ive called their pharmacy and havent been put on hold for more than 40 minutes.

Although my prescription wasn’t ready as promised, the service provided by the night pharmacist Reta made it worthwhile. Rita is very kind, knowledgeable and professional. She graciously apologized for the wait and ensured i was fully understood the proper usage of the medications. Her politeness went above and beyond my expectations.

My local Shoppers and one that I come quite frequently. So I'm well aware of the nice staff here and the fact that the pharmacy is well-run and quite efficient. I'm not too big of a fan of the very limited parking spaces in the back for Shoppers...uh...shoppers. Though I suppose it is nice that at least we get some spots in what is otherwise a paid parking lot. The Shoppers also has a Canada Post outlet inside so it's a nice one-stop shop.

Laziest pharmacy ever! I tried to book a second dose but couldn't find anything on how to book it online. I called this location and the guy on the phone said "www pharmacyinquiries"?? Even though it sounds dumb I gave it a try and it led me nowhere. Tired of this pharmacy being one of the worst I've ever been to.

Horrible when it comes to the pharmacy. They are consistently understaffed causing long waits both in line and on the phone.

I went to this shoppers drug mart today for a gentle face cream for my sensitive skin however the pharmacist and the staff there are not helpful and nice at all. They said they don’t know and asked me go home. They refused to help and advise.

This is the most dreadful and unprofessional shoppers drug mart I have ever been to. I booked my vaccine appointment 5days in-advanced. And ON THE DAY of my appointment, 15mins before my appointment they called in said they don’t have the flu shot. I asked why don’t they let me know earlier then I can book at other store they said they didn’t check the appointments until that morning. That means they did not know there is a flu appointment until that morning of my appointment. BUT when I actually get to the shoppers in person, another staff gave me totally different info. She said they were too busy they didn’t have the time to call me to cancel yesterday. That means they were aware of the lack of flu shot and also my appointment, they just didn’t call me. How long does it take to make a call? 2mins tops!!!! And the first staff called me on the phone even lied. I can’t believe this. Their irresponsible attitude shocked me. I didn’t wanna anyone else to experience this and waste time because of them. I just saw there is tons of other comments about how their appointments got canceled on the day of! Looks like this is how they work at their pharmacy. GOOD TO KNOW

I recently purchased a perfume, and I cannot praise Yasi enough for her exceptional service. She was incredibly knowledgeable and went out of her way to assist me, making my shopping experience truly delightful. Her recommendations were spot-on, and thanks to her expertise, I found exactly what I was looking for. If you’re visiting Shoppers Cosmetics, Yasi’s assistance is invaluable. Highly recommend!
