This review is for the Shine light show. We did the regular (not fast), it was about 45$ for a car. It was beautiful and enjoyed the lights. It was fun to tune in to the radio and see the light go with the music. I felt that it was short for the long drive we had though, and hence not a 5 star review.

Went to the amc here, awesome theater here, reclining seats too, cool thing was it was late at night and the mall already closed when the movie finished so me and my brother were able to explore the mall for a bit after hours, it was sooo nice and quiet and almost eerie, really really nice mall both in daytime and at nighttime after closing, would highly suggest checking out this mall and going to the theater here

This mall has been going down hill for sometime now. I believe they wanted to convert or add apartments, but the company went belly up with all the covid issues. The place probably has 1/4 of the stores vacant and there is nothing to eat unless you want pizza or a pretzel. The wife likes a couple of the stores so I will tag along if there is nothing else to do. They do keep the place clean and there is an area in the middle for kids to run around and play. I am a little confused by the giant no firearms sign when you walk in and the fact they say they have firearm detecting dogs around the property. Is that supposed to deter criminals? I mean come on get with the times lots of crazies out there and that doesn't do anything to help your customers, but to each their own just not my cup of tea.

The most boring mall I've ever encountered. All of the stores are lame and meant for six figured salary people. The only things worth going to inside are the Apple store and Lego store. Security guards were very hostile when my husband's mask was beginning to go down his nose, despite them NOT EVEN WEARING MASKS.

Nice clean and spacious. Moderate selection of stores. Seems to be geared to older adult as well as parents with younger children. A lot of activities for younger kids. Limited food options. Great spa area.

A beautiful, super clean mall that is dog friendly! My first impressions of this mall were wow this looks pretty nice. Shiny wood floors throughout, hardwood railings line the upper level. Plenty of good stores, rest spots, and beautiful decorations for this holiday season. Go see Santa while hes there!

This mall is struggling but so glad it still has a LEGO store. Shopper's Find is an interesting addition! Some great value clothes and Caftan Heaven!

It's actually a really beautiful mall, the cleanest I have ever seen. Unfortunately, that's probably because there's hardly anyone there. Lots of empty storefronts, hardly any customers, no real restaurants. It's a bit like a ghost town, honestly. Feels a little sad, a little eerie. Not sure what has happened to malls but I feel like the end is near. I hope not, because this one looks like it used to be something. Very cool that it's dog friendly but I wish there was any security.

It's a great mall, but many stores are gone. There are so many vacant stores. People are not shopping; instead, they are walking their dogs. This mall, like most malls in America, is suffering.

11/21: Love this mall! If you like to have a relaxed shopping experience, this is the place to be. I agree that from business standpoint this may not be the case. Love the California Pizza kitchen, GAP, H&M, Apple store, Lego store and most of all the play area in the middle for the kiddos!! It is well maintained. I hope business gets better and more stores and a food court opens up!! Edit 06/22: The first restroom I’ve come across around here that has a perfect door(without the gaps on all sides) and a wall mounted child protection seats which is such a blessing for parents with little kids!!!

Up scale mall in Up scale area. Offering wide range of stores for everyone young, kid, activewear’s, casual, professional all kind of stores has Apple store too and have many food options for all kind of restaurants with couple of departments store. But Due to Covid-19 you might feel little quietness and some store are closing or has been closed. At last I would suggest this mall to visit if you just going for fun or you already know that from which store and what you need to buy. Have some. All over clean and bright indoor mall.. ideal shopping place for all seasons.

Northbrook Court used to be a really upscale mall with Marshall Fields as the primary anchor and 2 other anchors. Now only Nieman Marcus is left and the Marshall Fields/ Macy's site is a weedpatch. There are now far more empty stores than occupied stores, even on a Saturday thre was hardly anyone in the mall. None of the 6 escalators were operating and people had to walk up and down the broken escalators. Deerbrook and Northbrook Court are locked in a race to oblivion, and it looks like both will "win".

Really nice place, very clean, spacious, and well-maintained. But so many shops are closing, it's sad. The latest was Stir Crazy, a restaurant that I used to enjoy as a kid. Banana Republic also closed too, along with all of the anchor stores except Neiman Marcus. They still do have some nice stores like LEGO and Apple, as well as an AMC movie theater. Not a lot of food options, though. I really do hope that they can rebound.

It's clean except for the dog walking and dog running. (Yup, some guy was running his dog here today.) With that permitted activity I never know when I'm going to accidentally step on something. And that's not a joke! I was at a Target Supercenter in Vernon Hills and someone's dog was dropping as he/she was walking. That was easy to see, though, because that store was well lit. Here, some areas are quite dim for dramatic effect. So if I ever step on something at this mall I'll give management some drama, all right.

I discovered this mall a couple of years ago and between then and now, it’s going downhill. Half of the stores are generic and there are numerous empty stores as well. Macy’s is gone and The Claim Restaurant left too. I love the fact that Northbrook Mall still has that old mall feel to it. It’s peaceful to shop there. I hope they get things back on the right track because I can see it’s headed to bye bye land

One of the more attractive malls around Chicago from the standpoint of lighting and design. Parking is seldom an issue even around the Holidays. The food court has good offerings for the size.

This time of year they had "Let It Shine" lights in the parking lot of the mall. It was very beautiful and family orientated....I have 7 small children under the age of 7. They enjoyed it very much. It was drive thru and had a radio station that played Christmas music as we rode thru the light show!!! Due to Covid no one exited their vehicle....it was awesome but for 55 bucks I felt we could've received some type of momentum.

Half the stores are closed. Not very large for what I thought was supposed to be a premium mall. Some high end shops and never busy so easy to shop in that sense. But feels like a ghost town.

After what I saw today, I give this mall one more year, maybe two and it’s finished. There are even more vacancies after the last time I was there. I didn’t get a festive feel like I normally do. It was sad to see Lord and Taylor almost emptied out. Neiman Marcus was empty. The employees were standing around staring and not engaging with customers and I said to myself, that’s why you won’t have jobs much longer.

  • 4/5 Ignacio Martinez J. 3 years ago on Google
The mall wasn't busy, not that many people were there. The store I wanted to visit was permanently closed. Other stores also had shut down. Is this the future of an abandoned mall? Only time will tell.

I truly appreciate strolling within Northbrook court. I haven't been there for around 2 years so it was exceptionally ideal to go for a walk around and see what's happened to within the shopping center since Coronavirus.

The shopping mall is not bad. They have several free EV charging stations. It does close early now, but overall and interesting place with many good shops and restaurants. The movie theater is also good. I would definetly recommend you stop by and check them out if you're in the area.

I rarely go to malls. This one seems quite nice. And, apparently, you can bring your dog! (It didn't read the signs closely...so maybe it's only on certain days?) I visited the Lego store which was awesome, with really friendly employees.

  • 5/5 Mohammad P. 3 years ago on Google
The lights this year were awesome!! We tuned to the radio station 87.9 and the light show began!! More than a million smart led’s doing their thing! The kids loved it. Should have been $30 not $40 but that’s about it

Still an elegant shopping mall facility, but far too many empty storefronts. They have tried to improve the atmosphere by using empty store windows as advertising displays for other still-present businesses. I still yearn for the days when an active, vital food court was located on the upper level. ONE Italian bistro located there now, with a handful of other food vendors sprinkled throughout the mall. If the residential development is ever built on the west end of the property, perhaps it will spur a rebirth of the bustling commercial nexus which used to be Northbrook Court Mall.

  • 1/5 Luigi P. 2 years ago on Google
After seeing what happened at Louis Vuitton I will never shop at this mall again. No action was taken by the mall security and they allowed the robbery to happen with ZERO accountability. I would not feel safe in that environment.

This Mall is dying. At least there is an Apple, Macy’s, AMC and some other retail. I rather go to Westfield Old Orchard next time.

  • 4/5 Liesl S. 3 months ago on Google • 2 reviews New
Such a great mall, so clean and not crowded at all. Our favorite part about the mall is a free children’s play place in a storefront on the 2nd level that’s perfect for little ones to get their energy out. It’s a little crowded from 11-12:30 but after that it’s pretty open. There are quite a few empty stores so that’s why I gave 4/5 stars but other than that, it’s the place to go!
