Myself and my partner visited Son of Steak Nottingham on 12/12/21 for a birthday meal. We both had 10oz fillet medallions cooked medium rare but unfortunately my steak came out very well done. We informed staff and a replacement was cooked but it was no better. We spoke to the manager who assured us a refund for my meal if we emailed with the details. They replied asking for a phone number to reach us on to process this refund. Disappointingly I have had no further contact from Son of Steak. After ignoring my reply, I sent another email 4 days later asking when I could expect to hear from them. 17 days later I still had no more contact from them. I then rang the restaurant to see if they could help me. Again I was assured that if I emailed they would process this for me. It has been 4 days since then with no contact. I don’t know how else to get through to Son of Steak. Please resolve this.

I've been once before (some time ago), and the steaks are just as delicious as they were back then. The meat was cooked just as it was requested and recommended on the menu and seasoned lightly. I do think that the price is somewhat high, though. Sides are ordered in addition to the steak. If you don't pay for sides, you will receive a steak on its own and nothing else. The small side of chips I added to the meal weren't as tasty as expected for the additional cost, but the southern fried mushrooms were fantastic, if not a small portion (appropriately 5 medium sized mushrooms halved and seasoned for £2.95). I'll go back in the future but, for the price, visits will be few and far between. If you're after a wonderful steak, it's definitely a place to visit.

Fantastic! As someone who has allergies, I could not have been more supported. When we arrived, I was asked if we had any allergies to which the lovely lady then got a tablet that showed all the allergies. The chef even said he could cook the food on a different pan to avoid contamination. I ordered off the vegan menu which was delicious and really worth the money. The toilets were clean, food gorgeous and service was top-notch. Would definitely return.

The staff were enthusiastic and friendly. Basically the same meat and stock as Miller & Carter for half the price. Excellent food quality and value. Highly recommended.

⏰4 o’clock switched off the computer immediately, set off for city centre and WE ARE READY!! Once we arrived at the restaurant, my bro already asked “Do you have the T-Bone steak today” haha.. Finally his dream came true. 💭 SO,,, what did we go for? 🐮8oz Flat Iron x2 🐮20oz T-Bone steak Sides ~ Hand-Cut skin on Fries ~ Crispy Onion Loaf ~ Sweet Potato Fries ~ Garlic Bread Drinks 🍹House soda - raspberry, strawberry 🍷Red wine (forget the name…) A medium rare Flat Iron which is tender and very tasty!! I am glad that I chose this. T-BONE Steak 🥩 served with medium rare as well. The portion is HUGE... but it was just cooked to perfection... ⭐️ Overall, we think it is a reasonable price ✅ with quality food as well as great customer service. I would definitely recommend it if you want some steak! ❤️ Paid with Dining Out Gift Card and it got 10% off… 😄

Best steak I’ve had, chips were amazing also. Service decent. Wish it was on a plate as is awkward eating off what they served it on. Was quite loud inside. Tender stem broccoli would have been nice but at the price I can’t complain as it came seasoned nicely. Steak and chips made up for any negatives. Well worth a visit.

Have visited Son of Steak a number of times, so thought it's about time I leave a review, especially after the excellent service we received tonight! Beautiful food, always fresh and tastes amazing. Also, the bbq sauces they have are gorgeous, especially the Korean one. Great portion sizes, very reasonable prices and the staff are welcoming, friendly and can't do enough to help. Tom was particularly fab tonight and corrected my ordering error, thanks again! Can't recommend this place enough :)

First time here but wow what a lovely night. Food amazing. Steak was out of this world. Service was awesome friendly snd very professional. Being allergic to nuts I have to be careful but they have a section for you to read and agree to before ordering which was a lovely touch. Menu explained to you which was nice. Overall a lovely experience look forward to my next visit. 10 stars across the board.

Great steaks cooked to how you like it cooked. Service wasn't great but it was on a busy Bank Holiday when i went so cutting some slack for that. Nice seating area outside and the interior is unfussy and roomy. Worth trying out.

Absolutely loved the steak it was bang on! The garlic bread was a bit underdone for me but the onion loaf was gorgeous, as were the Prawns. Gutting that the spicy prawn dish wasn't on that night but very pleased with the meal and the wine! The chocolate brownie was unbelievable and they had proper ice cream on tap which is unlimited! Modern and classy place!

Lovely steak and sides, really enjoyed it. Staff were a bit under pressure so service suffered ( a bit), Overall nice place with good grub.

Honestly can’t say enough nice things!! We came for bottomless brunch and our waitress was very very attentive. I have a good allergy and she was so helpful in going through the menu with me and checking everything was okay for me to eat. She went above and beyond and I’m so impressed with the service!! The food was beautiful and the drinks were amazing. Will deffo be back!

I ordered a lot of food. I couldn't finish them all. but everything was beautiful. the service was very friendly. I like it a lot. I really like steak it was incredible. I can recommend everyone.

I booked a bottomless brunch a couple of weeks ago as a surprise for myself and my mother in law. What a wonderful experience. We had mind blowing service from Nicole, helpful, above and beyond and definitely understood the bottomless assignment right down to our last 5 minutes! The chef, Aaron did a cracking job on food, outstanding and has been every time I’ve been here which this was my third. The amount of food on offer for this brunch was more than enough for 2, and we can EAT! Cocktail range was fantastic compared to other establishments offering bottomless brunch. All round brilliant time, thank you to your team members that made this special treat extra special ❤️

Food pleasant but not the best. Ordered 5oz fillet and hubby 10oz fillet, unsure if either was actually fillet, more like cheap rump tail cut. 10oz consisted of 2 x 5oz, very questionable. Did complain and was re-served with a better piece of meat more like a fillet. Manager did sort and comp'd for 1 steak, but should not have to resort to this.

Food was lovely would have been a 5 if my rice didnt come out dried up from being under the lamp. Service was great cant fault it polite,friendly prompt. It was a sunday afternoon so the restaurant was quiet but can imagine on a busier period would get a great atmosphere. Will definitely return

Thursday afternoon, town was quite busy, this restaurant was not too busy so we thought we would try it before we went to the cinema. Got seated pretty quickly on a lovely raised table with comfy backed stools. We were going to order on the app but as there was something missing on the app, the waitress was more than happy to take our order and get us one portion of what was missing which was amazing!! The food arrived…. Well, EVERYTHING was cooked to perfection! Hubby had a steak with king prawns which he ordered medium rare! I wish I’d have taken a picture! It was thick, cooked perfectly and such a beautiful cut of steak! The service was wonderful, food was amazing! I would go back to this place again and again! Made my birthday such a more special day! Well recommended A++++++++

Very nice atmosphere and good customer service. The food was really yummy but the portions were extremely small. We left the restaurant feeling hungry! I would recommend iron steak. It’s tender and juicy! 😋

Popped in for a a late lunch today. I had the 5oz sirloin steak with fries and crispy onion loaf. For my appetite the 5oz steak was a bit small but that’s on me. The steak was delicious but I must say, the crispy onion loaf was to die for. I’m only in Nottingham overnight but I’ll definitely drop in here again when I’m back. Very clean. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. I recommend this place.

Really nice vibes. Would recommend both for food and drinks. Went for bottomless brunch- the food was amazing, been to many brunches and the food was best by far plus very boozy cocktails and amazing staff, we were served by Amy and she was a gem making sure our drinks were filled. Update review: went again and it was just as good

No one there when we arrived, so had the entire place to ourselves. Service polite, food good..... and unlimited ice cream! What more could you want.

Decided to dine here on a trip to Nottingham. I had the 8oz Sirloin medium rare with fries and broccoli washed down with a pint of Estrella Damm. The steak was excellent, the best I’ve had. The fries too were top notch. Both the steak was me fries were seasoned just right. The vibe is just right for what is served and prices are reasonable. The staff were friendly and efficient. I’d definitely one again.

Steak was cooked well but ever so slightly under, they didn’t have the sauce we wanted but they sent the two other sauces to make up for it. For a takeaway steak it was pretty good: will be returning but mostly likely go directly to Son of Steak for the full experience.
