I had the unfortunate experience of encountering the restaurant owner during my visit to this restaurant , and I must say, he was incredibly unprofessional and rude. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that this owner had a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Firstly, the owner was visibly disinterested and unengaged with his customers. He seemed more focused on chatting with his staff or playing on his phone than attending to the needs of the customers . Furthermore, when we had an issue with the quality of service , the owner was dismissive and argumentative. Instead of listening to our concerns or offering a solution, he simply brushed us off and made excuses for the poor quality. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for this owner. Lastly, the owner's attitude towards feedback was appalling. When we decided to leave a complaint, he responded with hostility and defensiveness. He seemed incapable of accepting any criticism or taking responsibility for the issues raised. It was clear that his ego and pride were more important than addressing customer concerns. Overall, our experience with the restaurant and its owner was incredibly negative. His unprofessionalism, rude demeanor, disrespect towards both customers and employees, and refusal to take accountability left a lasting bad impression. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining at this establishment to think twice before supporting such a poorly managed establishment.

I recently visited here with my friends and unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable. The main issue that overshadowed everything was the rude behavior of the restaurant owner. The waitstaff appeared stressed and unwilling to assist diners. The overall atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable. On top of the poor service, the food did not live up to the hype. The dishes lacked the promised flavors, and some were even improperly cooked. I expected a memorable culinary experience, but sadly, I left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. In summary, my visit to this restaurant was marred by the rude and unprofessional behavior of the owner. The lack of hospitality and subpar food make it difficult for me to recommend this restaurant to others. I hope that the management addresses these issues to improve the overall dining experience for future patrons.

What a great overall experience. The food was fantastic and the customer service was amazing. Very polite staff and extremely attentive. It was my daughters wedding day and the manager was exceptional even giving our whole party free drinks. You will find it very hard to beat the standards set at this restaurant. First time visiting with recently moved into the area. The food was absolutely delicious not overpowered with spice and very filling. Service was excellent with the gentlemen that served us were very pleasant and made us feel welcomed as if we have been there before. Definitely recommended and will happily return again.

Disappointing. Food was very nice, dined in Thursday night spent over £200 and loved it. Ordered take away today and ordered scallops. When I got home saw they “didn’t have scallops, sorry” written on one of the boxes, so swapped it for chicken and gave me some pakoras I didn’t order. I collected in person, and paid there. Not a single mention, and they didn’t call me. I don’t eat meat so the chicken dish (which I now paid £9.75 for) has gone in the bin. Very poor customer service. All it would have taken would have been an email, call, or for them to talk to me. It costs nothing to talk to your customers. I would have been fully understanding. But to change my order without saying anything is completely unacceptable.

A friend of mine recommended this restaurant. He didn’t let me down. The food was delicious. The service was second to none, I was lucky enough to chat with the owner Abid. He told me the restaurant has been there for 21 years and I could see why, big menu, generous portions! The restaurant itself had a really nice atmosphere, everyone was enjoying themselves, I’ll be a regular here now 💯 Thanks guys 10/10 🙏🙏

Really friendly place, did a vegan option for me also, friendly staff & a nice treat at the end of our meal. Would definitely be going back again, we was all very happy with our meal 🙂

Fantastic food and the service is excellent. I have been to a few Indian restaurants in the past but this is the best. The food is out of this world.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Booked a night there tonight NYE...for my boss who has cerebral palsy .. to be turned away saying it wasn't booked.. totally unhelpful, put the phone down on me when i first rang . very rude. Totally unsympathetic, and lied! Absolutely disgusted with them.

We have eaten here with friends on a previous occasion and we were really impressed with the food, the service and the friendliness of the owner. So we made a booking for a graduation dinner for 9 people. The owner suggested meals to us, offered to adjust the spicy ingredients if we wished and to keep the dishes containing nuts completely separate. We all ordered different meals as well as rice, parathas and naan bread and all of the food was delicious. The owner could not have been more helpful, even offering to send out for pineapple juice for the youngest member of our party. We brought a celebration cake with us and this was served with candles, plates and forks. All in all, the restaurant made our special occasion extra special - thank you.

Excellent food and service as always! The staff really go above and beyond to make the experience enjoyable. They cater to our needs every time we visit and are a pleasure to be around. Food is also delicious!

Had a take away at the weekend from here and it was fantastic. I normally go to one of the other local places but ordered from her after a enjoying the food on a Christmas party. I highly recommend the chicken tikka shahi paneer. ( Its A sweet curry ).

Went to this restaurant last night & this is my second visit in the last couple of weeks. The food is gorgeous & the manager & all the staff are very friendly & helpful. Bombay is my new favourite Indian restaurant.

If you want to experience a Karen type of restaurant then visit the Bombay Brasserie. You will not be dissapointed by the incredibly ignorant and rude floor manager who has no patience and wants to order your food for you while at the same time was so condescending and patronising that he reducing a party guest to tears. When complaining about the attitude to another manager it was a shrug the shoulder and no apology offered. Needless to say we all got up and left. If we'd have wanted a Karen experience we would have gone to a Karen's restaurant. We will not be going back to this restaurant again and seriously recommend to not visit.

It was the first time we had been to the Bombay Brasserie. We were greeted on our arrival. The staff were very efficient and attentive. We ordered poppadoms, a starter and a main. There were no dessert's because it was Saturday evening. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back. A place well worth a visit.

A long awaited family 'get together' meal was made even more special with the delicious authentic Indian food! The table service passed all expectations - polite, attentive and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff there. I would thoroughly recommend you explore the fantastic menu of this restaurant. Five stars as far as we are concerned.

Well I've been fairly frequently for evenings out and the Bombay for many years. We've continued to come back again and again because the food is just so good very high quality, hospitality is fantastic always a warm welcome and very attentive staff. recommend very highly will not disappoint.

Amazing service, amazing food Prior to this visit, I had only been to Bombay once with my partner and it was lovely, so much so, I booked a table of 14 people for my birthday celebration last night. Really good choice of food from the menu and something for everyone. All 14 dishes and starters came out from the kitchen piping hot, and all at the same time. Every single person enjoyed their meal and had no complaints at all. The service was fantastic and all staff members were friendly and accommodating. I was even given a complimentary bottle of Prosecco for my birthday. Really will be booking again! Thank you to all at Bombay.

Bombay has always been a family favourite but we've not been for a while. As we remembered, the staff were attentive and really made you feel comfortable but also like each table were special and that to me is what makes a great dining experience. The food was to a very high standard, it was a family celebration and we were all pleased we'd chosen to go to Bombay.

The food is excellent and the waiters/ waitresses are wonderful and always have a smile on their face. The owner is always on the premises it seems and ensures smooth running. He is very proud of his chefs whom he headhunted and made an offer they couldn't refuse (no horses involved) to get them to his kitchen.

We visited on Saturday evening for a friends Birthday! The food was perfect and the service outstanding. We would highly recommend. Nothing was a problem, including bringing out the birthday cake we made ourselves. At the end a fabulous touch after settling the bill, we were brought a drink and a short each on the house.

Having lived in Mapperley for over 10 years I have always wanted to try this restaurant. We were so impressed, the service is exemplary, the ambience superb. The key part... the food, is first class! The long grain basmati rice was cooked to total perfection and each piece of meat so tender and full of flavour. Zoe, our hostess is a credit to the restaurant. We cannot recommend this place enough. You must try it!

Having had a string of poor quality experiences from takeaways we decided to try the Bombay. The food turned up early and it was excellent. Well done Bombay, we'll be back.
