Not recommend for any function in this location. They change & cancel the bookings as they wish in the last minute. They cancel wedding bookings at the last minute. & So many photographers faced that issue for photo location bookings.

If your are booking mannar house ,do it solely for the stunning location .its place to immerse yourself in beauty. However be prepared for lackluster rooms , disappointing food and service that doesn't the enchanting surroundings

The location of Manor House is undeniably beautiful.unfortunately let down by the food and service.the food did not meet my expectations. The dishes lacked flavor, and some even seemed to be poorly prepared. The presentation was not that good. I had hoped for a more enjoyable dining experience given the beautiful surroundings.

First off absolutely great atmosphere, the location and the setting. But the service and the management is below par. There are several persons who were in charge of a wedding of a close friend, but none of them had clear instructions and during the last moments, they forfeited already agreed upon requests. Come for the venue but make sure you get all in contract with the manager, else you will have a very sorry situation.

This is the best walawwa/bungalow I have ever visited. Even though it has history from 1884, it was refurbished with new modern technology with the blend of vintage touch. We had an amazing experience at Manor House. Absolutely, a wonderful place in a great location and a beautiful view. The food is awesome, there is a small pool as well. The prices are reasonable as well. The one thing I need to say again is the amazing staff. The hotel staff and the manager were super friendly and helpful, pleasant and very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this place.

A beautiful bungalow full of very cool carvings. The environment should be very cool and quiet. About 200 years old.

Nice place, but not satisfied with buffet and food.

Eco friendly colonial style bungalow around 15 minutes drive from Kandy. We went for a day out. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Lunch was deliciously cooked. Absolutely beautiful surrounded with trees and flowers. We got one room which was very spacious but not clean. I think because it was a room especially designed for day out packages. A good place to have a family time or a picnic with families or friends.

I was invited here as a guest for an outdoor function. The bungalow and garden were beautiful and well-maintained, but unfortunately, the food was terrible. Although I enjoyed the atmosphere, I gave this place two stars due to the poor quality of the food. PS: Everyone was impressed by the nutmeg tree.

Perfect for quiet getaway with a loved one. If you like old Sri Lankan architecture, this is a must visit place. Friendly and helpful staff.

Not good food but good service & nice place

I went this place for a photoshoot. Its an amazing venue for outdoor weddings and parties. The manager and the staff are extremely friendly and supportive. It is a ancient manor house with beautiful locations. Good for a traditional kandyan photoshoots. The garden can handle abour 400 people. There is a small pool as well. The prices are reasonable as well. They cost rs. 15000 for a 03 hours photoshoot. Highly recommended.

Fairly decent mid range hotel with colonial style room . Furniture and facilities , probably the best place to visit Kandy, friendly and attentive staff. Decent food, local food was best out of what we had.

Visited there for wedding function. Food not tasty. But service is shape. Thats it for this time.

This place is so nice and amazing for photoshoots. Specially traditional srilanakan style weddings. Highly recommend place and kind staff. This place having nice outdoor greenish spots for available light shooters. Nice indoor spots for artistic picture lovers. Amazing place for all kind of photoshoots.

A great place for someone who wants to have a different experience..

Attened a garden party few days back. The setting and venue is very nice. Well maintained manor. Unfortunately the service has to improve a lot. Food wasn't great. Waiters were young boys who were not well trained in serving tables. For a function of 100 people they ran out of welcome drinks. Some got ice coffee and others got a juice. BBQ stations were for show. Meat was cooked in-house and then brought to grill stations. I still say the venue is nice for a smaller function but food and service needs vast improvement.

Place is fine But Food is not good

This is a hidden gem in Kurunagala road.Located bit closer to Nugawela ( road next to new filling station) .The facility is a converted old walawwa.The environment is nice with lot of greenery and space. Need to bring liquor from outside. The food is average and the service is good.

Held my wedding in this place..(1/6/23) Place is good .but not maintaining well.lack of staff.hiring staff from outside for banquet functions.they are not providing proper service . Dont get da wedding package from them. Place is only suit for photoshoots. Had many issues..think twice before get the function of this place

The location is very beautiful. We had a photoshoot for a wedding there last week and had a nice experience. The 2 star review is however due to the bad attitude we received from the reception when we called to ask for the route to the hotel. The reception guy talked to us in a very insulting tone that we mixed up manor house and Mansion Nugawela locations and he talked down to us on that. I personally was very dissatisfied that I had to hear such things early morning on my wedding day. I hope the management looks into this and make sure this won’t happen again.
