Wonderful place, food, activities, everything !!! The owner and the crew are joyful and give you the best of them always. For sure you will be disconnected from the fuss of the cities and have a relaxing time, the encounter with the Yubarta whales is awesome too!

The cabana that sits right in front of the ocean is pretty big, has a great view and can relax in the hammocs while listening to the waves. The rate includes everything (lancha, meals, whale tour, walk to Termales) so you don't have to worry about anything. There was electricity thoughtout, wifi (slow) in the main part of the hotel. The vegetarian dishes were all well prepared. Good place to unwind and relax.

Simply amazing. The only thing better than the nature in this place, is the staff's hospitality. I cannot recommend this place enough, and I am counting the days to my return!

(Translated by Google) Great stay at the Lakuka hotel which is truly a little paradise! Located right in front of the sea, we could fall asleep with its noise. The manager Julianna was very caring with us, as well as Dyvan, they planned all the activities for us with care and made us discover wonders. The food is hot and prepared with love by the adorable cooks. The recipes change every day. And of course we got to see dolphins and whales. A small paradise of nature!

(Translated by Google) Very good service and food in the place. Beautiful landscapes. If you're going, you should expect the rooms to be very basic, but with good beds and mosquito nets. Everything is quite open.

(Translated by Google) Very cozy and familiar, perhaps too familiar, because not being part of it, there is a break in attention, how uncomfortable. The food is very good, but defined, in its quantity, by the administration and served in the strict schedule that forces to limit the movements. It is expensive, but it is understood that it is caused by the difficulty of carrying provisions there. The remarkable month, the affection and effort with which its owner and family have put and offer to their clients, who participate more as guests. The place is undoubtedly a privileged natural landscape, from which you can do many hiking, swimming and enjoying the surroundings.

One of the best places I’ve stayed in Colombia. The location is very unique and it does feel like a hidden tropical paradise. La Kuka is extremely well kept with different types of accommodation. The amazing food (full board) is prepared fresh for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Probably the best food I had in Colombia. The friendly and helpful team organizes the transport by boat from the Nuqui airport as well as whale watching and other activities. For wale watching and weather conditions, pay attention to the seasons.

Beautiful location, right in front of the ocean, away from crowded spots of the beach. Hosts are super polite and welcoming. However, for the price, food could be SO much better. Small servings, no creativity, poor presentation. The hotel feels more like a hostel than a hotel.

La Kuka: not cheap but worth EVERY SINGLE PESO SPENT. We stayed there in July 2023. La Kuka offers the ideal sea- and jungle experience for people who want to get away from it... Get the room right at the beach (conveniently located right above the bar so that your host Juan can introduce you to Biche and 'threaten' you with subsequent Salsa lessons...) in order to spot humpback whales cruising up and down the coast directly from your balcony's hammock. Food is local and fresh and 'muy delicioso', drinks and tranquility abundant. The local staff is helpful and very friendly. The setting is geared towards sustainability and social responsibility. What to bring: 1. fast drying clothes and footwear for the beaching at the hotel and the many excursions you will be participating in. 2. Snorkeling gear to admire the tropical marine life around the rocks 50 to 200 meters from the beach and to listen to the whale songs. 3. Plenty of Pesos as many of the attractions and excursions can't be paid by credit card. 4. Decent phone or camera gear as nobody at home will believe your counts of the perfect sunsets and the birdlife you encountered. What not to expect: easy transfer from an to. A menu choice. A winelist. A room with AC or fan. In short: this is the perfect tropical retreat - guys don't spoil it...
