A restaurant in the heart of the town with reasonably priced food. It's one of the oldest restaurants in town and probably had it's Glory Days. You can make that out from the clean and classy albeit chipped crockery. It's popular among locals and serves mostly local cuisine though you can also get some bakery products and a decent cup of tea or coffee. Service is quick though not top notch. If you're searching for a clean and reasonably priced place for some grub, this is the place. The buns are decent but ask them to heat it up else they serve it as is by default. Opens at 0730 and the bakery items are in by about 0800

Tried a couple varieties of fried rice and they were amazing. The portion is worth the price. The service isn’t great but acceptable. Atmosphere is alright, not the best. Not spacious enough.

This was one of the worst dining experiences which I have ever faced! Please avoid this restaurant. We were looking for a place to have dinner. When we went there the restaurant was full. We waited nearly one hour until a table was free. The service was slow, the staff was rude and ignorant, customer service was practically non existent. While the place looked okay, the tables were unclean. The food tasted bland and now worth the wait. Overall I suggest you dine elsewhere.

Our go to place 😊👌 Our favourite dish is the vegetable chop suey but we add rice. Yummy! The amount given feeds 2+. Sooo much. Very nice. Great service. Always friendly and inexpensive. Thank you.

We had breakfast and then came back for dinner as well. Breakfast was quite good however I suffered food poisoning after having their mixed fried rice. Poor customer service from both the guys at the cashier. They took one hour to get our order prepared at night.

Orange juice was 500, and not more than 100ml. Artificial flavours. Service is late, you need to wait 20mins waiting time for 6 packs(take away)

We ate here several times and it was really good. Big portions, tasty food, fast and nice service, you can adjust spice levels, which is rare. Some people may say it's not very clean but for local standards it's honestly fine. There's an okay toilet with soap.

Good place to eat in Nuwara Eliya. It is cheaper place, but not the cheapest. Vegan options available. Definitely go for mushroom masala. Good place to eat with children. Toilets are not the cleanest. Alcohol is not being served here.

Ordered crispy chicken, which was only fried chicken; was okay but not crispy at all. Beef was blackened en totally cooked through, too tough to even chew. Received chicken instead, but not the one we asked for; now it were dry and chewy chicken pieces with no flavor. Disappointing. Fried rice was nice tough. Also no ventilation in the restaurant; food smell in all our clothes after visit. Service was okay.

Poor customer service . Representative said still they didn’t washed the glass because of that they have been given this particular paper cup to customers .

Decent restaurant located in the Nuwara Eliya town. Good food with reasonable prices with good customer service. They are open till around 10.30 in the night which was a plus. One portion of rice variety can be shared by two.They have recently renovated and the atmosphere is quite pleasant. Although, food variety is less ,this restaurant is a quick go to for a decent meal.

The food is delicious! Maybe spicy for some people but really tasty. The table are sometimes dirty but the waiters are friendly and kind. I recommend it for sure.

I didn't dine in but took away my dinner last night from Milano. It was simple chicken and egg fried rice. Portion was more than enough for one person with copious amounts of chicken, vegetables and chillie paste. It was tasty but I'm giving them 4 stars because they could have provided gravy which they did not and the dish would have been delicious had they added more eggs.

The premises of this restaurant are obviously dated, but the service is friendly and there is a reliable Sri Lankan, Chinese and Western menu, including good sizzlers. It also sells very cheap snacks from a counter on the ground floor, such as mushroom buns (Rs 30 each). We had a chicken briyani for 360 rupees served with chutneys both which has great taste.

An affordable restaurant in Nuwareliya town. Food quality is okay

Had a chicken fried rice which was superb. It had very little oil in it and didn't taste msg etc and was very tasty. Minus one star because cutlery wasn't very clean and washed those myself before using.

The food taste good but very poor quality service we waited for 30+ munitis for the waited to come and ask what our order is. We understand that this place was crowded, but the service was 0. The waiter walk passing our table but do not care about customer satisfaction

The reason why I gave 3 stars is because compared to last time I visited this time the taste , quantity and quality has changed. I always order their Milano special, hot garlic chicken and beef devilled which are my favourites and as usual this time I ordered and found to my surprise that it has changed taste wise and quantity wise, maybe it's due to the season time and huge crowd.

Milano is one of those classic eateries in Nuwara Eliya which garners a visit by its customer base by virtue of tradition for two decades or so. I hold this place fondly in my memory as a place that once served one of the best fried rice plates I've ever tasted. It has a good selection of local food and Chinese items and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner at a reasonable price point. They also have a nice selection of short eats. However, the establishment could really benefit from a good amount of refurbishment and improvements to its good preparation process while preserving that sense of antiquity. Hoping for some improvements in the future! 👍🏼 3/5
