Had to scout around this side of Melbourne to find a hidden gem shop My favourite is Luke’s Special or Charcoal BBQ Pork Banh mi (with Chilli) with a must have Iced Vietnamese Coffee to start your day! Their fresh made Tiger bread is so crispy, nice and soft inside. Fresh vegetables and love that crunch from the fried shallots with crushed nuts. Very generous with the meat or vegetable filling. Rice paper rolls are filling and wrapped well to go with Hosin sauce Also Vegan & Vegetarian friendly. I also had their Vegan BBQ & Vegan Crispy Pork Banh mi. Taste soo good and packed with flavours.

I recently tried the Banh Mi at this place, and it was an absolute delight! The taste was exceptional, the texture satisfyingly crispy, and the portions were generously satisfying. What impressed me even more was the thoughtful pricing for such high-quality food. I'm already looking forward to coming back for more delicious experiences. A definite must-try for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Vietnamese Banh Mi!

My photos really don’t do these banh mi any justice because it was amazing. I’ve heard so many great things about Luke’s I was so excited to find out they also offer vegan rolls. They have two seperate counters, so that the vegan meat and salads won’t be contaminated with the non vegan side. I’m looking forward to trying the other mock meats but the marinated tofu looks especially delicious! The photos show the pork “crackling” vegan option. I was so impressed when I saw this meat come out. I’ve never seen anything like it before. I had real pork crackling and my partner had the vegan version however he shared with me and I think next time I’ll get the vegan option… or the tofu. Food was excellent- so yummy, service is also excellent. I can’t wait to get back to Luke’s is another amazing small business highlighting why Reservoir is an underrated melbourne suburb. Also, English is the second language for these ladies. Please be clear with your order or talk a little slower so they can get your order right and please be patient, instead of writing a bad review. Best Banh Mi I have eaten in Melbourne! Especially the northern suburbs. My friend bought me Luke’s special and it brought back the time when I went to Vietnam. And lots of meat! And the price is soooooooooo good. $10 for that big Banh mi. Next time I will come by and try a lot more❤️❤️❤️

I’m a regular customer and 100% this is the best Vietnamese rolls I had so far in Melbourne. I am not a vegetarian but my most favourite roll here is the tofu roll.

Luke’s bakery has been a routine Sunday lunch visit for years now. Their tofu banh mi is my personal favourite. It’s filling but still light. Their rolls are delicious and at such great value - especially in these times when it’s so hard to find lunch under $10. Highly recommend!

Luke's are on point with their bun range. Sadly if you don't like coriander ir cucumber they don't allow exchanging for other vegg fillings. Lots of vegan options including steam buns. Sweet wise a little lacklustre. Coffee decent and staff lovely.

The best banh mi in Australia for me. It’s so delicious that even beat my favorite banh mi ngo in Sydney. Generous filling and it cost not more than $10. Truly perfection.

The 30c flat surcharge on all card payments is illegal. Suggest the owner updates this before they get in trouble. Bahn MI's are pretty good, crackling pork is a bit fatty however. The rolls are nice. Ordering system is all over the place. It's not clear whether you order from the counter or the cashier.

My favourite banh mi place in Melbourne. Portion sizes are incredible, bread is always so soft and the staff are lovely. Have been here maybe 8 times now since moving to Reservoir a couple of months back, and never had a less than perfect experience, can't speak more highly of the place!

Awesome Bánh mì "Vietnamese bread roll, Place was spotlessly clean and staff were super friendly and great customer service skills. We ordered two of the Luke's special Bánh mì and they were both filled with delicious fillings including crackling pork and cha sui and salads. Would highly recommend this place must be the best shop in the area for Bánh mì.

I love this place so much!! I been many famous Banhmi places in Melbourne but this is the best!! You can tell their ingredients are so fresh and the flavors are amazing and the staffs are very friendly. Thank you Luke’s bakery!

So bloody good! Biggest vegan range of bahn mi I've ever seen, and so filling. Vegan peking duck roll was delish + good Viet ice coffee 🙏

I tried their Char-grilled Chicken Bahn Mi and it was yum as. Nice, fresh ingredients to help cleanse the palate. Not to mention their fresh, flaky, crisp bread rolls. Only reason I would go to Reservoir.......

The best fried rice everrrrr. My go to when I work in the reservoir area. It is so damn good my husband is hooked too lol. Excellent customer service each time too. Highly recommend and fairly priced.

The banh mi here is incredible! My personal favourite is the Luke’s special 🤤. There are tonnes of vegetarian options and they even do a vegan Vietnamese iced coffee- big yes from me. The service is always really efficient no matter how many customers are in-store. It’s worth the hype!

Pretty solid place with an extensive menu for Banh Mi. I scouted it out beforehand and was pleasantly surprised there was a line when I arrived. It moves pretty fast and the food can sometimes take a little longer. Great taste tho

I had iced vegan Vietnamese coffee and the Luke’s special Banh Mi (serve with Crackling pork belly and BBQ pork). The iced coffee tasted sweet and strong, good balanced with the coconut milk.The Banh Mi is FULL of Meat , and the sauce is stunning. Good value for lunch, it had a long queue but waiting time isn’t that long. The staffs are friendly and mindful.

Best local banh mi - absolutely delicious!!! I’ve eaten from there many times and always been a treat. I’ve had the BBQ chicken baguette, the lemongrass chicken baguette and the betal leaf baguette. All 3 of them were packed full of fresh food quality ingredients and were very flavourful. The ladies there are all so lovely as well so it’s a pleasure going in to pick up your food.

Delicious banh mi and pork spring rolls. I recommend the charcoal chicken. Service is always fast even when there's a line. They prefer cash and charge a 30c surcharge for card payments. The only challenge is parking.

Ill keep this short and sweet possibly the best banh mi in Melbourne northern suburbs if not Melbourne...
