BE CAREFUL RAW CHICKEN!! I ordered takeout from here on Uber. The prices were ridiculously high for the quality of the food and my chicken was completely undercooked!! The pasta was dry and flavourless. I’m frustrated I wasted money on this place to get raw chicken and bad pasta. Do not order take out from here.

Wow. Wish there was an option for 0 stars. We ordered takeout about $90 worth of food. First of all, they forgot an item and we had to go all the way back to the restaurant but that’s ok, mistakes happen. The quality of the food was not great at all. Portions were small and food was extremely dry. The pasta felt like it was sitting out for days. And the southern fried chicken came with maybe a handful of fries and one small piece of chicken. The Caesar salad came with no dressing. I could go on and on but you get the point. For $90 worth of food you would think it would be even in the slightest a little bit better…. definitely do not recommend going to symposium especially if you are doing takeout.

I came here during hours of lunch operation, i ordered a symposium burger not expecting much as I wanted a quick meal, but this burger was delicious! It was juicy, moist, and had some flavour but nonetheless I enjoyed it! I recommend that to anyone who wants something quick and filling. I was served by the waiter named Rachel and she was polite, kind, transparent, and seemed highly knowledgeable on the menu. She ensured that I was taken care of whether that’d be the bill or simply a glass of water, so I really appreciate that. Overall 9/10 for Customer Service as I myself had worked as a waiter and understand what good service means. 7/10 for food was there could’ve been more flavour. Overall 8/10 Food, and Experience. Symposium Cafe in Oakville, nestled within a bustling strip mall off Third Line, boasts ample parking convenience. The interior décor, though average, is complemented by the welcoming and courteous staff. During our visit, we sampled an array of dishes, and the consensus was that it falls short of being exceptional. The food quality, on the whole, can be described as merely average. The lunch special featuring fish and chips disappoints with a smaller-sized cod piece. Moreover, the service can be sluggish, especially when it comes to getting your drinks, making refills nearly impossible before it's time to leave. The omelets, usually a challenge to make dry, indeed lacked their expected moisture. The burger we ordered proved overly salty, with overcooked and dry patties, while the bun seemed past its prime. The Caesar salad left much to be desired, as it lacked sufficient dressing and came in a rather modest portion, making any additional charge unjustifiable. Although the menu does offer gluten-friendly options, it remains uncertain how well they fare in terms of quality. As Symposium Cafe operates as a franchise, the path to improvement may prove challenging. Nevertheless, we extend our best wishes for their future endeavors.

Definitely recommend! A local gem and a treat for those visiting. The food is outstanding, unique and versatile. If you're served by Natalie you will receive the best care and attentiveness anywhere in the business! Very meticulous and genuinely concerned that everything goes to your satisfaction. Can only wish other restaurants/bars had staff like her. Only reason not 5 stars is the beer selection is severely limited and all of the draft beer is nauseating, but otherwise a great place!

Cozy place with a small high top bar if anyone is interested in stopping there for a drink. The menu is massive and the rice bowl I got seemed like it was microwaved as there was steam coming from the center and the bowl was hot. That being said, it was all still pretty tasty and for a fair price I can't really complain. The service from Vita was great. Checked in to see how things were without seeming pushy and was quick with getting the drink I ordered. Overall, I'd definitely come back because there are some genuinely delicious sounding items on the menu, especially the Zucchini noodles.

We visited this cafe 2 days before new years. The food was delicious, especially the Chicken Parm. The service was wonderful, shout out to Nav- he helped us pick the food, asked for feedback afterwards, and made sure we were fully satisfied.

Very slow service in on a Monday night even though we were told that it would be 40 min to get food. Good portioned salmon salad and tasty. Air conditioning not really working on a humid day. Very delicious and huge sangria.

I walked in on a late afternoon not knowing that they only do brunch/breakfast till 4 PM. My son specifically wanted a pasta and so we were about to leave when the waitress asked for a minute and came back to say that the chef can make one just for us from the regular menu. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of service especially since they were very busy at the time. Also, the pasta was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Went for breakfast. Great options for vegetarian. All the items we ordered were excellent. Price is ok. Great and friendly staff. Pls expect a little delay (not much) during your service. Otherwise, this is a wonderful place.

Extremely unhappy with the food. Coffee machine out of order for a few days now is what we were informed - my first disappointment when I ordered latte. The southwest fried chicken eggs Benedict - served with guacamole which seemed stale. Fried chicken was undercooked. Waffle and chicken - waffle was good but fried chicken undercooked. There are several brunch places offering similar menu but great taste. This place has good ambience and service but the main part which is the food did not impress us at all.

My husband and I ordered the Southwest chicken Benedict and for my surprise the guacamole didn’t seem fresh. Due to that the guacamole took away all the good flavours from the food. The service was good. The atmosphere does have anything special.

Last minute going out plans :) Eric, our waiter was super chill and made sure our night went well, checking in regularly. Quiet, clean, cute place. Food is well portioned and filling! You just want to keep trying more and more on the menu. Would say salmon is a little bland but might be my own personal preference.

Symposium is a great breakfast place. The staff and service is friendly. Our dishes were freshly made and served warm on a cold morning!! This was a perfect breakfast. They had some toddler friendly activities on the table that kept our toddler engaged.

Matthew made our experience here the most memorable I’ve had coming for a Sunday brunch. I’ve been coming here for years and would say as far as consistency goes this restaurant’s food, service, and ambience never disappoint. Very great time & delicious food served by a charismatic, funny, and attentive server in Matthew. Highly recommend, especially on their patio in the summer for a local spot.

The food was good and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Our waitress was so fun and attentive and the manager walked by a couple of times to make sure everything was okay. However the service was a little slow despite the restaurant not being very busy.

I had brunch here alongside my mother and father, typically I normally don’t do reviews but this one restaurant persuaded me in doing so. For starters, I was hesitant to eat at symposium as I had a bad experience there previously, we decided to try again and as soon as we walked through the doors we didn’t have to wait longer than 5 minutes in line to be seated. Our waiters name was Rachel I believe, and her service was amazing! Both my parents and I have never received a better waiter experience before today! Prompting me in writing this review you are currently viewing. We order the eggs Benedict and chicken omelette. Both of which were filling, yummy, but could’ve been a little warmer but that’s not too significant of an issue. After we finished up our meals, our waiter Rachel persuaded us into a fruit yogurt parfait to end off the brunch. Overall, I had a wonderful time at symposium here in Oakville, and I want to give a special thank you to the waiter for being polite, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. Both my parents and I are delighted to have you serve us and hope that you’ll be working again when we come in. Thank you for the service Rachel alongside symposium!

Loved our Sunday brunch. It was busy and we were seated at the bar. (Really comfortable chairs.) Natalie gave us great service! Eggs Benjamin and peameal egg and cheese sandwich with breakfast potatoes. Served up just the way I like 'em.

Visited several times. Good restaurant with various options in menu. - The Benedict breakfast is good. - The Pad Thai is not quite original. It is quite sweet and not spicy, in order to fit most people requirements. - Chicken Alfredo is average. It must be waited too long for the whole table order to be served. The disc is hot but the food is cold Service is good and attentive. But the waiting time of the food is quite long. The price is on average or just slightly above.

Amazing service from our waitress Natalie and terrific food. I brought my mom and a friend for her birthday and we had an incredible time. Natalie brought us a delicious birthday cake and even steamed the milk for our coffees, the way my mom likes. Thanks for giving my mom the perfect birthday brunch!
