**AMAZING PLACE FOR LIVE MUSIC** I was lucky enough that I could perform on April 7th with my band mates-- R&B Fusion collective!! -- This place is amazing.. its perfect place to get together and enjoy REALLY TALENTED musicians play. They have open mic and jam nights throughout the week... its a great place to come together! Great atmosphere. 🎼🎹🎸🥁🎤🎙

John brings in amazing music! This is made all that much better, by the fact that it is an intimate seated venue that is set up with a listening audience in mind. I love that he has the calendar posted months in advance, so you can plan your trips to the Moonshine. This truly is a special place!

The people and music make this hole in the wall a hot spot. I went for a country night on a Thursday. They had Canadian country artists that are fairly new singing originals backed with an incredible band. They were all so talented and even did a couple songs together at the end without practice. I have been to professional concerts that were done with less quality and talent. The food and drinks were nothing to write home about, but I will be coming back for the music and service again and again.

I loved everything about this place. Kudos to John for being such a great host even after 17 months without live music events, he loves his job and most of all he loves people. Great music and good vibes, that’s all you need for a great night. We’ll be back! :)

Oh wow! Too much fun tonight! My husband and I came to see Garnetta and DaGroovmasters and had such an amazing time. Garnetta and her crew were absolutely incredible and put on such a lively show that got everyone bopping, dancing, mingling and having a great time. Ages of patrons ranged from 20's-80's and everyone was full of joy! To the miserable people that I see have left bad reviews on this page...this is NOT a restaurant folks! It's a dive bar that features incredible artists. The staff was super friendly and appreciative that I realized how busy it was (sold out show as most are, from what I've heard) and decided to come to the bar to order our drinks instead of waiting for them to come to us to take our order! Nothing wrong with getting out of your seat to help accommodate the staff to make the night run smoothly! We were there to have a great night and we sure did! We also enjoyed the BBQ chicken sandwich and large fries and were very happy...well worth $10!!! We were looking for a good time and found just that! If you're miserable, you will always have a negative experience. Cheers to the Moonshine for providing a night to remember!

Such an interesting place to hang around, ideal for some jam, hosted by friendly John and backed by fresh beer and drinks. Maybe can consider adding more food/snack options outside regular dinning hours?

A wonderful and unique venue for music and talent where a story is told with every show. Is a must to visit if you love music in Oakville. Always a good time.

Not many places like these anymore, it really is one of a kind. Staff is so welcoming and kind, and music is always fantastic. I’m always looking forward to go back. People there are also really friendly so you’ll meet many friends!

What a great spot. I'm slightly disappointed that they have started charging admission for STA shows, but besides this I really enjoyed this place. The bands were amazing (of course 😎), and the audio sounded good. Maybe a bit too loud but that is being picky. I didn't order any food but I glanced at the menu and prices seemed very reasonable. Looking forward to going back

Went to the Sunday Oakville Improv Theatre show night (as a performer - so please note my bias) and it’s such a cool spot. It’s cozy and feels like a piece of history with a wall full of printed photos of performers. The ladies room has a chair with stuffed animals on it and I love kooky stuff like that. (I’d share a photo but 1. that’s kinda weird to share a photo of inside the ladies room and 2. those permitted may go see for themselves

A great place all around. Everything ranging from the owner, to daily live music, the regulars, cold beers and bbq food cooked in front, rain or snow (the wings are worth the visit alone), just makes this place and it's atmosphere something special. Can't wait to visit again.

I love dive bars but this place is a scam. I was told at the door $10 cover for my wife and I. Once my bill came they said it was $30. Also, beers (not tap or tall boys but regular size in a can) are $9.25. I had 2 beers and 1 tea and it was $52 before tip. I don’t mind paying cover but price your beer appropriately then, don’t double dip.

This place has such a good vibe. It's cozy and intimate, they have live music every night. My favourite is Tuesday, open mic night! If you're looking for live music and a chill atmosphere, this is the place to go!!
