👍👍 A very nice place to spend some quality time with the family.. good for kids too..a small parking is right outside the park (usually it’s full so you can park right across the road or at the shell park which is nearby) there are few slides and swings for kids to enjoy. Public washrooms are available... People often mention beach, park, parking, kids, water, small, area, clean, beautiful, busy,

A very nice place to spend some quality time with the family.. good for kids too..a small parking is right outside the park (usually it’s full so you can park right across the road or at the shell park which is nearby) there are few slides and swings for kids to enjoy. Public washrooms are available. On one side there is a small waterfront area which has stones and is quite beautiful. And on the other side there is sand on the beach where you can sit and relax and kids can play in the sand and enjoy the beach (clean beach). There were a few barbecue, so I guess the beach is barbecue friendly. There are trees near the beach which provide shade in the sun. You get a nice place to sit so not a busy beach to say. Overall a Wonderful experience.

What a quaint beach/park area! Love that it is not busy (despite coming a few times on the weekend). There are limited shady spots under trees so bringing an umbrella/canopy is a good idea. There are public Washrooms not far away and a kids playground close to the parking lot. It feels like a nice secluded beach hideaway

Small and cozy park with access to the water. It connects to the Burloak Waterfront Park from the west and you can walk on the trail beside the water to the west and enjoy both parks. It has a nice view of the Lake Ontario and Toronto skyline. There are benches around the park and close to the water and you also can access the water from the sandy beach. Nice area for kids to play beside the water.

First time here.... what a beautiful spot for sunrise. Absolutely gorgeous! Well manicured park with many safe access to Lake Ontario. The waterfront was very clean and well maintained. There is also a small children's playground that will keep the kids occupied while the adults can soak in the beauty of the lakefront.

A cozy and small beach with a great view of the lake. Good parking lot, 2 washrooms and access for wheelchairs and strollers. A lot of algae in the shore

My favourite place for a quick afternoon in the park. It’s a hidden gem in the city. The beach is tiny but so beautiful that you could easily forget that you’re not in some resort. Water is always clean, sand is soft and if you go during week there is nobody but just you and the beautiful nature. Steps away from the beach there are public washroom, water refill station and no problem with parking.

Beautiful park that is still off the radar of many making it less crowded. The park has a rocky area and then a beach area with sand. Whilst the park is beautiful with a lovely walking trail, the water had a lot of algae today and was the low point. But the picturesque background and great views made up for it. There are a few benches and a gazebo with 2 tables. But feel free to get your mats and the view from the grass. Our highlight was later in the afternoon when we went to the rocky side just in front of the parking and saw clear water crashing like waves. It's a small area but gave a very Caribbean feel. The kids enjoyed this the most but be careful if you small kids. Washrooms were clean and next to parking. There's also some slides n a play area for little kids. Overall, great experience.

Small public park in Oakville next to the lake with limited parking. Very small playground for the kids. Not worth the drive here, unless you live close. There is also a Petro Canada Pier here.

Secret beach on the Lakeshore. Limited parking spot. Water was not as clean as the 50 point beach but it was ok. Wash room was clean enough.

Nice park!! Usually very busy. Best place to swim (less muck) is near the rocks farthest from the stairs on the right. Great place to be

What a beautiful beach. I didn't expect such a wonderful beach for Ontario Lake, and it was super close to me. I didn't have to drive 3 hours. Nice trees clean water. Cool rocks 🪨 . Overall, it's a nice beach if you just wanna go spontaneously. there is a little shelter shade and a playground near the parking lot. I totally recommend going here if you're in the area.10/10 5 stars. 🌟

What a great spot. South Shell Park has got to be the nicest beach in Oakville. It is never very busy, stays quiet even though it is close to a busy road (Lakeshore), and is quite clean. Great for a beach day! water can be quite cold of course so prepare accordingly

Small park. Petro Canada Pier is accessing from South Shell Park but it is restricted area. The peculiar thing is big residents are alongside the Lake Ontario next to the park.

Nice place and family friendly, the only complaint is the parking is small and have to walk 10-15 mins from another public parking.

Great small beach to visit in the west end. Clean with soft sand but can get very busy ! Would recommend arriving by noon to get a spot. The parking lot is also very small. Had an amazing day catching some rays!

Great beach. Went on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty empty - I imagine it gets crowded on weekends. Free parking, pets allowed on leash, and plenty of shade. The water is relatively clearer closer to the west end of the beach.
