This was the worst hotel experience that I ever had. The room that I stayed in for a week was definitely not worth what they charged me. It was rather small, heating was insufficient (took 1 day to warm up the room to about 20° and in the bathroom there was no heating at all...) and the Internet was the worst I had seen in Germany so far. They even made sure that certain web pages were not accessible at all. I can not recommend this place unless you are truly desperate and just looking for a dry place too stay. Breakfast was German standard, thus perfectly OK.

4 starts average ONLY for the convenient location for us. We stayed in the apartment building side of the hotel. I choose to stay here due to its proximity to FIS (international school) where my son was spending 3 days visiting his former classmates and teachers. I don’t know what standards other travelers have but this hotel is in serious need of a total refurbish. Rooms are dull & dark, carpets are dirty and what it’s the biggest problem it lacks of climate control. We just checked out yesterday a day earlier than what I had originally reserved for because we couldn’t sleep as the room was extremely hot. I have a hard time giving bad reviews as it might impact someone’s job but the experience left much to be desired. Room had a damp feeling and the dated furniture has dark spots all over. I can’t say much on the personnel as you encounter more or less the same inexpressive people all around and I have no problem with that. But paying for a room like looks like an old motel room out of an horror movie it was not what I expected. There was a dead bird on the balcony on our floor not our room and it was never removed. It seems they don’t clean the common areas as often as they should. Breakfast for 18€ per person seems a bit high but you have the option not to take it so I went to the supermarket and bought what we needed and cooked in the kitchenette. Building is located in a beautiful remote location with accesible public transportation but it’s convenient to have a car. There are a couple of restaurants nearby and an Edeka supermarket. Wifi as others have stated is poor. So if you are planning on working while staying make sure you address this with the front desk or call in advance prior to making the reservation. Overall it served its purpose this time but I won’t be staying here again. Try the Dorint a few miles down the road, you’ll thank me later.

This hotel has the kindest staff! The man in charge of the breakfast this week is the funniest/kindest/sweetest. The receptionists were also very helpful . though the room was on the small side, everything was very comfortable. Once again, the man in charge of breakfast is great. Favourite hotel staff member ever.

We stayed at this hotel during a family visit in Germany. The main reason for our choice was the location (close to family and close to a subway stop to Frankfurt). It turned out to be a fantastic choice. Super service - including an early check-in after an overseas flight arriving in the morning, change to none down comforter, friendly receptionist and staff in the restaurant. The breakfast choices and the quality of the food have been terrific, especially the Bircher Muesli. No doubt that we will be back when ever the next family visit will occur!

This very nice hotel is great. Here we celebrated our wedding, with around 50 persons. Service and food were great. Also because we were earlier back then planned, and the staff members directly offered us drinks. We were at the terrasse Zimmer, and a place for us and our guests. Rooms are good and clean, and as a smoker, it is great to have a room with balcony. Overall, everything was good. Our guests are still happy. They surprised us with their kindness. If we compare to other hotel I highly recommend because we've been in many hotels but this is the one meet more than our expectation. Thank you Mr. Jaeger and staffs for making our special day memorable and make our guest happy.

Nice location with lot of nature around suitable for relaxing and jogging! Equipped with sauna and only about 30min to the city center! However very small room but perfect for one traveller only. The food is good with many choices. Privately owned and now managed by the 5th generation!

The lobby looks very nice, but my room was so small, that I could hardly turn around in it. The bed and the duvet were really narrow. I booked a single room, so I didn't expect a royal suite, but it was really tiny. There was no minibar in the room, but snacks were sold at reception.

The hotel itself is nice to look at and the staff are friendly enough. But the rooms (at least the ones i was in) are cold. The central heating doesn't work. Fittings lay out within the rooms is also not ergonomic. The pricing point is way off €120 for a room with a single bed is way to excessive #methinks

Can’t understand why there are some bad reviews. To us it’s such a classic German hotel which is close to FIS(Frankfurt International School) and the forests. The hotel itself has a big nice garden, where Urselbach passes. We stayed there for school visiting and holiday. We like the breakfast a lot, which is quite German. Lunch is also delicious. They have a fish dish which sources directly from a fish farm in the forest not far away. There are a lot to explore with kids in the forests nearby. The most famous activity is Mühlenwanderweg which is just in front of the hotel. The Weg leads to Oberursel old town to Frankfurt Nidda riverside. During our stay, we saw some private events and BBQ parties in the hotel garden. Guess it’s also a quite nice place to arrange business conference.

Amazing hotel! Definitely worth 4+! Amazing breakfasts, amazing huge garden, friendly staff! We stayed there for 10 days and didn’t get bored of breakfasts! Fantastic! It has an amazing garden with trees, fountains, roses, gardenias. Apartments are really good! We stayed with 3 kids and they were very happy. Cleaning of rooms are good. And superb location! The best location we could think of! Just nearby beautiful forest, U-Bahn station, bus stations. Nearby good restaurants, supermarkets. Town itself is vey clean and safe. We enjoyed every moment of a stay. If I’m coming back, I will definitely stay there again! Many thanks for beautiful memories!
