(Translated by Google) One of the main attractions of the city. After renovation, the building looks especially beautiful. The ground floors have a post office, shops, restaurants, and a cinema. In the courtyard there are sports grounds, parking lots and a walking area. True, residents still complain about the redistribution of covered parking lots and garbage chutes inside apartments and their smells, etc.

Amazing building with many shops of all types and sizes. This is probably the most surreal mall in the world given its origins and current usage as a mall with many anchors such as traditional movie feather, furniture store (white house- mid to high end in western prices) and the world’s most extravagant locale wise liquor store from what is effectively a Disney castle. Don’t be intimidate and step in a see from the inside this incredible building and see for yourself since it’s likely the least restrictive sister.

Impressive old building with its history and beauty. Very central location, however it takes 15 mins to get to the subway station. On the one hand it was interesting to see how people lived back time as the apartment was not completely renovated, on the other hand it has its disadvantages: no dishwasher and extremely loud traffic, even during the night. Another big issue - air pollution. Good things - supermarket, cafe and ATMs are located in the same building. And the view is also outstanding. Very friendly personal.

The one and only. The love of my life. I fell in love with this building the moment I saw "her"! Yes I know I should refer to the building as an it but if you see the building in front of you you will realise that there is a soul inside! Amazing look and the size is humbling. You feel like a little dwarf staring at this building. Although there is 7 in total that are called the "Stalin's visotky" this one is the best looking for me personally or it is just love... When I was told that this is a residential building I had my mind set on a new goal of my life. Yes to live there!

We stayed for 2 days here while visiting Moscow in February 2020. It is very huge building. One thing I noticed, it's very calm place. You can call it a haunted like building. But definitely we enjoyed our stay. Very nice views from windows of our apparent. It's in central area of Moscow. Nice place.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful Scoop-style building, very majestic, it also has a cool backlight at night. The building is residential, so it is likely to rent an apartment there or buy it and admire the center!

Building in 1952 still amazing. Kotelnicheskaya Embankment Building is one of seven Stalinist skyscrapers laid down in September 1947 and completed in 1952, designed by Dmitry Chechulin (then Chief Architect of Moscow) and Andrei Rostkovsky. The main tower has 32 levels (including mechanical floors) and is 176 metres (577 ft) tall. At the time of construction it was the tallest building in Europe.[2] The building also incorporates a 9-story apartment block facing Moskva River, designed by the same architects in 1938 and completed in 1940. Initially built in stern early Stalinist style, with wet stucco wall finishes, it was re-finished in terracotta panels in line with the central tower and acquired ornate pseudo-Gothic crowns over its 12-story raised corners and center tower. By the end of World War II, the side wing was converted to multi-family kommunalka housing, in contrast to the planned elite status of the central tower. The central tower, of a conventional steel frame structural type, has a hexagonal cross-section with three side wings (18 stories, including two mechanical floors). While it is not exceptionally tall or massive, the "upward surge" of five stepped-up layers, from a flat 9-story side wing to the spire, gives the impression of a more massive structure. The structure hides behind itself a so-called "Shvivaya Gorka," a hill with historical architecture and a maze of steeply inclined streets. Chechulin was initially criticized for complete disregard of this area, but his bureaucratic influence brushed off any criticisms.

(Translated by Google) The Soviet knight's castle by the river - this gives the effect of invincible power, beauty and tranquility. Stalinist, shining empire style - at the peak of triumph, magnificent, joyful and at the same time, stylistically accurate and detailed. This is especially evident in the sculptures, even in the most unusual: a tightly knocked down student with a book and a tunic torn on her chest. At the same time, the 176-meter beauty, firstly, stands on unsteady coastal soil, and most importantly, by the end of the 40s - when they began to dig the foundation pit of this skyscraper and the other "seven sisters", there was no practice of such construction in the Soviet Union at all ... A ruined country, just rebuilt after the war, what skyscrapers? That is, the whole idea of Dmitry Chechulin could either collapse or stall for years. But his engineering talent and passion, the calculations and experience of the builders, worked a miracle - all the skyscrapers, except for the one laid by the same Chechulin, in Zaryadye, were built on time. And indeed, with magical technical solutions - like a tower crane walking on floors or ice pumped under a specially inclined skyscraper on the Red Gate. In Kotelniki, the foundation was pierced to the rocks and at the same time the skyscraper became the most technically advanced. As befits a knight's castle, the house, commissioned in 1952, was made almost completely autonomous - it has its own heating system, a split system, that is, the air is heated and cooled, depending on the season, and even its own dust removal system. , Dust from the apartments, through the filter system, goes into the river. Also, at the time of check-in, all apartments have built-in refrigerators, furniture and new-fashioned sinks with a large waste crusher. They guessed only with the garbage chute - they were brought right to the kitchens, and with the processing of pipes they pumped up and as noted by local resident Yevgeny Yevtushenko: I have an ode on the table - hard work and from the garbage chute guests twig. Only Zykina sang from the ceilings the chapel has gone to sing along Prusaks. Composer Theological took a chord, and slippery jumped on the keys redhead devil. As a result, the hatches were simply welded. At the same time, for residents and local hard workers, the house had a cinema, an order bureau, a consumer services salon and four shops; strictly for the inhabitants of the castle there was a room for storing prams and bicycles, as well as an underground garage for 212 cars. At the same time, apartments, tenants and even a place in the garage have always been different - depending on the owner. After all, not only princesses and kings live in castles, with princes, but also their servants, cooks, etc. for which, there were small service studios and even their own, black, separate elevator, so that they would not breathe with the inhabitants of heaven one, clean and beautiful air. In the 50s, however, the elevator was laid, the rooms were legalized, they also made apartments, The creator of the skyscraper, as well as Peking, the White House, the Kievskaya metro station, the Tchaikovsky Hall and the now demolished Moskva swimming pool and the Rossiya hotel, Dmitry Chechulin, also lived here, in an apartment on the ground floor. A list of the rest, great apartment owners, on commemorative plaques, the film Brother-2, with Saltykova's little room, throwing a grenade donated by the Fascist, in the courtyard, shouting "Why, are you rubbing here?" and the line from Schmeiser - in the memory of the people. But the Chechulian beauty, flashes not only in him, but in a dozen films, and of course she will again be a supporting star.

When you head out across the floating bridge the views of the embankment building are stunning! The building is home to some of the nicest apartments available for rent long and short term in Moscow. I have personally stayed there, along with many other Americans and the apartments are unreal, Manhattan quality for a third of the price. The location is ideal for anyone, close to the metro, close to Red Square. The photos you can capture of the building 24 hours a day are breathtaking!
