This is food is soooooo good!!! The staff is real nice and friendly too. Did I mention how delicous the food tastes? It's perfectly seasoned. Everything is at the right temperature for you to enjoy it immediately without burning your tongue. The mashed potatoes is the perfect consistency to melt in your mouth as it integrates with the subtlety seasoned gravy. The cornbread tastes like my Grandma made it! And it's real cheese binding the macaroni together. 10/10 definitely recommend❣️

My husband found this hidden gem and had been wanting some good southern home cooking and wanted to check it out. All I can say is WOW! I had the country fried steak with mashed pot. An gravy with Mac-n-chz and my God.. my husband had the fried pork chop with green beans (and bacon mixed in) with fried okra and a side roll.. It was sooooo good! To top it all off tho I my husband saw they had a lil fridge in the dinning area and inside were all the desserts and they have the best banana pudding! They use a cookie instead of the nilla pieces that most places use and they have it on point.. many other things to choose from as well! The staff/family that helped us while we were there were super friendly and welcoming and it made that southern "home" cooking feel and taste that much better! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back soon!

If you haven't stopped by...go! If you are thinking of going...Go!! We haven't had this level of good home cooking in a restaurant in eons! The fried catfish is SO awesome! Fried pork ribs anyone? Go for it! The slaw, baked beans, macNcheese and the fried okra.... All incredible. The sweet tea is sweet and fresh. The folks there are warm, friendly, comforting and laughing...this is a very good vibing place!! Two words- HEAVENLY and AMAZING!!! GO!!!!!

Come hungry.... absolutely the best Fried chicken and porkchops I've ever eaten. Will definitely come back here again.

Listen the best home-cooked food in ocala, my boyfriend and I bought a dinner, oxtail and a meatloaf dinner, it will take us 2 or 3 days to eat this. They are the best. Nice Christian owner.

Great good at a reasonable price, served by super nice folks! If you're hungry and looking for a hearty breakfast or lunch, this is the place for you. The menu is a bit limited so make sure to check before you go to see what the specials are each day. I went on a Thursday and had glazed ham with Mac and cheese and Perlo rice. My buddy got the Cornish Hen with cabbage and Lima beans. Parking is a bit limited so be prepared to park around the corner of Tas-t-o Donuts if need be.

So happy we found this jewel of true southern homestyle restaurant. We were at North Ocala RV resort and happened to look up soul food on Google . Awesome food servings very generous. For sure will be coming back next time we visit from Indiana

Hey Ocala ! If you haven’t tried this you should ! The food is fantastic and reasonably priced . Plus it’s family owned. You won’t regret it! I had the pork chops, eggs and cheese grits .Delicious!!!

Delicious ! I had country fried steak, collard greens, and sweet potato casserole. I am probably going back today with my sister! I also bought a sweet potato pie to take home and I wound up eating the whole thing!

I got Chili today and have only one complaint.... you need to provide a bigger spoon. It was so good I couldn't get enough. The rice was so flavorful. I will be back and telling everyone I know.

Tacky Service!! I called in my order. Catfish, okra and yellow rice. I even bought a piece of Ialian cream cake. There were no customers waiting. Why after 25 minutes of waiting, there was still no food yet they had collected my money plus a tip!!?? I was so dissappointed, (and hungry). I WALKED OUT. I plan to NEVER patronize this business again!!!!

The food "LOOK" good but it wasn't good. I had soul food before and that was not it. It was not appealing to my stomach when I got finish due to the fact it left a nasty taste in my mouth. I was having stomach cramps and throwing up. I had to sleep it off. Never again.

First time trying lunch. Food was amazing and customer service was great. Had the chicken Drumettes combo w/ Mac & cheese and green beans. For $15 this was a crazy amount of food! I will be returning.

A hidden gem of the community! The quality of the food is top notch. You don’t feel like you’re eating take out. It’s real home cooking. Service is always professional and pleasant.

The customer service was great, timely and friendly. The food was just not good. My pork chop wasn't fried, it was more like broil. The macaroni and cheese wasn't seasoned and it was greasy. The only thing I enjoyed was the cornbread. I went off of recommendations of co workers. This maybe my last time taking their suggestions.
