⛲️ ⛲️ ⛲️ Cascade fountain “Bather” is one of the most beautiful and unusual fountains in Moscow, located on Pushkinskaya embankment in Neskuchny Garden. The fountain is distinguished by its unusual structure and lush sculptural design: as if continuing the Catherine Pond, it cascades down from the upper level of the embankment to the lower one, imitating a waterfall. At the top of the cascade there is a figure of a girl preparing to jump - according to various sources, a replica of the sculpture "Jumping into the Water" ("Swimmer") by Romuald Iodko or "Bather" ("Diver") by Ivan Shadr. At the lower level of the embankment there is a font decorated with the sculptural group “Boys with Carps” (author unknown), depicting two neatly dressed pioneers with fish in their hands. The cascade is framed by monumental granite stairs with massive balusters, and figured granite benches are located on both sides of the font. Author of the composition: architect Alexander Vlasov.

A wonderful place for walking and cycling along the embankment next to the Central Park of Culture and Culture. By the way, it’s quite quiet and shady for the heart of the capital. The Soviet surroundings of the “bather” herself, as well as the “boys with fish”, bring a touch of nostalgia to the fountain complex, making Neskuchny Garden even more interesting. The fountain is not too big, cascading type, with a stone staircase. From the garden alley it goes almost to the stone parapet of the Moscow River.

One day, some group of idiots began to climb on a bather one by one, and as a result, her left arm was torn off. Then, of course, they welded it, but the seam remained. And the boys with the fish below appeared back only approximately in 2012, when the park began to be occupied; before that there were none.
