The House of History of the City of Offenbach is not only an interesting place for Offenbach residents. Here, 10,000 years of history of our region are brought back to life. The visitor can literally immerse himself in the settlement history of the Rhine-Main area. He witnessed the development of the leather industry, the faience manufactories, the printing industry, and so on. Visitors can also learn a lot about the history of settlement, for example by the Huguenots. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You always receive detailed and competent answers to questions.

An interesting place to get to know Offenbach better historically. The craft station for children was great.

The House of City History is a very important cultural meeting point in Offenbach am Main. Interesting lectures on very different historical topics take place here. The art and the artists receive wonderful appreciation from the museum director, Dr. Jürgen Eichenauer and also the politics through the mayor, Dr. Felix Schwencke, whose refreshing humor opens hearts and reminds us of the extremely important role art plays in our society. Mr. Witold Riedel was also happy about this, whose exhibition is very interesting and thought-provoking. The House of City History: A place where you enjoy spending time.

Here you can learn a lot about the history of the city. There are plenty of interesting exhibits and it is possible to use an audio guide via your cell phone. Entry currently costs €2.50 per person. A visit is worthwhile for every Offenbach resident or visitor. To visit the museum in peace you should plan around 1.5 hours.

Preparation of school trips. Offenbach now has good cycle paths from the clinic to the Mainuferweg. Visited the municipal museum. The House of City History is a very suitable destination for a class or family outing. I'm attaching some pictures. Treated very kindly. Klingspormuseum closed. Liebig Museum Frankfurt impressive exhibition on ancient technology. Incredible and often beyond my comprehension. Maintower always worth a visit, but often long queues.

Covering the time from first settlements in the region to current urban development. Of course they cannot go in depth but make a good compromise to get an idea on important events.

Really a great place to learn more about Offenbach's interesting city history! The rooms are small, but we really enjoyed the exhibition. We also found the concept of the texts really good, as in addition to summaries there are also more detailed texts in which you can find out more details. Definitely worth a visit! :)

An adorable local city museum with a surprising wealth of well documented artifacts including a Roman votive offering, a reconstructed celtic wagon burial, and the grave of a Merovingian princess. A good place to spend a rainy afternoon.

It's not huge like other museums I visited but everything is neatly presented and one might say it is a selection of the more important pieces in order to catch a gist of the past. All in all worth visiting!
