Iconic tower that must have been erected there by an Age Grade group. Not very monumental but beautiful in every ramification. Come see it for yourself 😉✌️

It's a beautiful Tower installed by an age group in amekpu ohafia!

Visited ohafia for the first time in December 2021. Was loads of fun and interesting! Didn't even seem like a village!

This place is situated in Ohafia Abia, Abia, Nigeria, its geographical coordinates are 5° 47' 0" North, 7° 43' 0" East and its original name (with diacritics) is Ama Ekpu.

The Amaekpu towers is one of Ohafia's most outstanding landmarks. The clock has since stopped working, which is sad to say the least but it's still an important piece in the history of the land.

This iconic Tower was built by an Age Grade and commissioned 1975. The clock bells could be heard within a 1Km radius.

The clock at the tower struck at 9pm and 10pm. I don't know yet if it does the same at other hours of the day and night. Also, there's a hangout spot just surrounding the tower. This place is one of Amaekpu's highlight. I'd take a photo soon and edit.

Is a nice place to visit, the people of Amekpu Ohafia are predominately Christian and law abiding citizens.

Very nice and beautiful Hotel, their receptionist is well trained and love the way they treat Guest, would like to visit this Hotel whenever I come around again.

Used the services of a sewing machine repairer. Did a great job with the machine and he's an honest man.

This is a Historical Clock Tower, the clock is still functional. It's worth a sightseeing

Amaekpu Tower is in ohafia local government in abia state, my experience is that the tower has a ringing bell, once is 12 noon it will ring both 6 o'clock in the evening.
