India’s Border Security Force and Pakistani Rangers are set to replicate Wagah border’s elaborate military drill in Punjab’s Fazilka, one of three border openings between the two countries, to draw more tourists. Sadiqi will be the third JCP to hold the retreat ceremony jointly. Sources said the approval from the Centre is expected soon and work to shift the retreat ceremony to the Zero Line. will start in a month. “The distance between the spot where the retreat ceremony is held at Sadiqi will be reduced by 20 metres on each side. This will draw more tourists,” the BSF official said. It was decided not to allow any construction, including bunkers, within 150 metres on either side of the border.

The Retreat ceremony (lowering of the flags ceremony) at Joint Checkpost Sulemanki international parade ground in Sulemanki, like Wagah border Lahore and Ganda Singh Kasur, is a daily retreat ceremony ritual in which the security forces of Pakistan (Pakistan Rangers) & India (Border Security Force) are performing daily joint ceremonial drill.nIt is alternatively a symbol of the two countries' rivalry, as well as brotherhood and cooperation.

Head of three main canals of Punjab. But highly restricted area due to security reasons. Head is a marvellous piece of architecture from colonial era. When you cross the main bridge towards border a vast jungle with some wild birds can be amusing. On border flag ceremony is held every evening which can be entertaining due to indian and Pakistani fans.

My trip here was awesome, I started from sriganganagar and it took me 1-1.5 hours. Make sure to be punctual and reach by 5 pm to enjoy the retreat. I evoked patriotism in my soul. Greenery here is also beautiful.

It sounds like you had an incredible experience attending the parade at JCP Head Sulemanki on the Pakistan-India International Border! Patriotism and national songs can indeed create a powerful atmosphere. It's great to hear that the arrangements by the Pakistan Army and Rangers were excellent, and the turnout of 10,000 people must have added to the enthusiasm. Pakistan Zindabad! 🇵🇰

It is more convenient to reach the parade ground, Punjab Rangers expand the time of event and a lot more to entertain the visitors.

A good experience to see the flag ceremony, while people from both sides of the border can see each other.
