Many many issues with the hotel and management. 1. I booked for 3 people upfront by mentioning clearly that my son aged 14 would be staying with us. I was charged a higher rate for this "facility", but when I went to the hotel, they gave me grief saying they know nothing about it. Even when I showed them the booking.com confirmation. If they cannot honor reservations taken through third party websites, they should have the listing removed. Who wants to deal with such troubles on a holiday? 2. Totally unresponsive and irresponsible management. I asked for an extra bed since we were three people. They kept promising it would come in "ten minutes", only to keep us up till 11:30PM, after which one of us slept on the floor! Shame holiday inn. 3. Same issue next day, they kept wrangling till 7:00PM and finally delivered the bed after informing me that I would be charged for it. Even when I agreed to pay (even though the booking said 1 extra bed would be provided and included in the cost), they were unwilling or unable to comply with this simple request. 4. Very far from anything else. If you don't have your own transport, you will struggle like hell and be stuck in the hotel since Uber and Ola do not service this area very efficiently. You will deal with local auto guys with their scams included for no cost! 5. The room was very cold since the AC was set to very low. They had a deceptive temperature control which just would not budge even when set to very high. Later we found that the temperature control does not work since the building temperature is controlled centrally. Meaning each room cannot have its own temperature control. 6. Luke warm water in the showers. Never bothered to find out what was the reason because I got tired of arguing with these clowns. The gist - stay away from this hotel and avoid its atrocious management!

Our previous experiences in Chennai were displeasing. We booked Holiday inn as we had come for exam and serendipitously it was in proximity to the centre. Let me begin by saying that the staff is extremely good and enthralled by hospitality where they provided us breakfast at 6:45 am at the door. The view from the room was spectacular and the room is minimalistic and practical but I think the overall stay was pleasant very comfortable and profoundly memorable as they really catered us keeping in mind that we had an important exam to give. At the cost what we pay we got an over and above service.

Good for solo travellers for short trips without much luggage. Very compact rooms. The window openings were too small. I felt a little claustrophobic. No place to hang clothes. Even if you ignore the compactness, one thing that I could not accept was that you could hear sounds from neighbouring rooms. Every time they closed the door in next room, you could feel the thud sound. The sound proofing in rooms is not good. That is not acceptable. However, the rooms were clean. Amenities like Gym are good. Food was decent. Service was good.

Don't get confused with the main holiday inn hotel. This is like a cheaper copy of it. The rooms were extremely small. The sink was present outside the bathroom which was very weird. The shower cabinet's glass was translucent. Breakfast didn't have much options. The omlettes were a little burnt. They didn't provide fresh towels. There was no cupboard.

I enjoyed my stays with Holiday inn Express. Room was clean and recommend for couple and business traveller .Room size is very comfort .If anything required given on time ,Special Thanks to Mr.Rohan who clean my room very helpful. The food & hospitality was awesome. Also all the staff is following the Will come back soon to stay here. Especially for my business purpose.Thanks .

I have stayed here for 4 days and it's good and peaceful. Have a television in room and they provide other facilities like kettle freezer and locker. The room service is quite good we don't even know when they are coming and cleaning the room and changing the towels and everything without touching or moving any of our items. And the breakfast is good and have variety. Pleased to stay here I would definitely recommend.

1. Delayed in checking in even tough the check-in time of this hotel is by 03:00 PM 2.Very poor restaurant services and breakfast 3. The restaurant is like fast food counter. 4. A/C's were not working in the reception and restaurant area. 5. The room size is very small as its a kind of a room where your can refresh for few hours and start back your journey/Airport Pods, its not a good idea to stay over night even for two. 6. At this price you will get lot more hotels in this area with better service.

Decent hotel but very small rooms. Too small that you won't find space to keep your baggages and spare cloths and wet towel at same time. Would suit for single person for overnight stay but definitely not more than that.

The rooms were very small which was known to us before hand but it was the service that made me give it 1 star. You've to constantly go around asking for basic things that hotels usually give like water bottles and towels- which was not even given to us when we checked it. We had to ask specifically. AIthough we requested these things they were only given to us after we called them 2-3 times and took more than two hours. All the calls were transferred to reception who refused to pick up calls and would even cut it. We eventually had to keep going downstairs to get all these. Horrible service wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here. It's definitely not worth the price.

1. Rooms were small 2. All metals hooks and hinges were affected by humidity, Salt formation. 3. Rooms did not have wardrobe. 4. intercom were modern but didn't work for my room very well. 5. I felt house keeping were little lousy in giving Iron. may be just my bad luck had to call reception phone didn't go through and corridor phone also didn't work. so had to go down to reception to ask for Iron. 6. Overall I felt comfortable stay, neat and clean rooms and corridor. 7. breakfast could have been better, with more options and fast replenish.

Have stayed here for a few times now, latest being 60 days at a stretch. Felt like a home in Chennai. All Covid protocols were duly followed at all times. Felt like leaving home when i finally left. The staff was always absolutely awesome and eager to help and attended any requests right away. The sales director Ms. Sharon was always present at breakfast to ask each guest if their stay was comfortable and she did approve my extension requests whenever i approached. Overall; I am gonna step in here right away anytime i come to Chennai. Great going Holiday inn express. Keep it healthy keep it safe keep it up!!!

The room was neat and good.We got stuck in the traffic before reaching. They made us wait for so long time in the lobby for keys. Rate worth it. We got day use room for 6 hours worth ₹3000/-.Overall the service was good. Room was compact and luxurious with standard size bed . Couple friendly!! No complementary breakfast will be provided for day use.

The bathroom, lacking a shower head, offered an unexpected opportunity for interpretative dance. A modern art performance in a bathroom? Thanks, Holiday Inn Express! The rooms, designed for borrowers, made me feel like a caged canary. And the grand finale? A toilet that refused to flush, turning "undesirable excretory items" into a macabre art installation. Customer service? The hotel manager graced me with charm, sweetness, and a healthy dose of rudeness. Apparently, every room is equally 'unique,' and guests should feel honored to endure such 'hospitality.' Threatening to check out prompted a virtual victory dance from the manager, suggesting that vacating their 'luxury' establishment was the best possible outcome. I'm not even concerned about a refund; I simply hope this establishment doesn't continue to mistreat its guests. A stay at the Holiday Inn Express is an experience – uniquely and depressingly unforgettable. Proceed with caution.

Being a frequent visitor to Holiday Inn properties, this was my first time at Holiday Inn Express and I had stayed for 12 nights. The experience was great. The food there is really good. There's a buffet with a wide variety of food as well as cuisines. The service was excellent, especially Sathya from the cafe is the best in terms of catering to our requests, all with a smile and without even breaking a sweat. The only gripe about the hotel is that their rooms are small, good for a solo traveller but the shower cubicle is very small. Other than that, would highly recommend for solo and business travellers as the location is perfectly close to most of the companies in Chennai.

I have stayed in multiple holiday inn express till now and writing this review based on my inference Space constraint - If you are looking for spacious rooms especially if you are on business travel and you need a table and chair to sit and work then you may be disappointed. The rooms are so small and may not be able to accommodate even a small table and chair. Food options - Taste must be improved and items must be added especially fresh juices and dosa etc., Also noticed lot of flies in dining space which I have not expected in holiday inn. This must definitely be addressed. Other things are as per holiday inn express standards - facilities, service, safety etc.,

We had booked a room at this hotel for a couple of days. The rating of 5 has been given not because the stay was out of the world, but due to the fact that the people responsible for running this hotel do it with utmost sincerity. As the other reviews say, the room is tight. It is great for a solo traveller and adequate for a couple. What stands out in the room is the cleanliness. The food was good and felt very light. Their gym is sufficient. They also have laundromat which guests can use free of cost. What I liked most was the courteousness they showed. Mr. Diptesh and Mr. Shubham helped us out in everything and were very friendly. The restaurant in-charge took care of our food needs. Overall, it was worth the money paid. Yes, the hotel has few negative points. Sometimes, the keycard may not work. The elevators might not function as smoothly as would be expected from Holiday Inn brand. They do not have recreation rooms. But what really stood out is that in this industry which has been hit by scarcity of resources due to the pandemic, the hotel employees are extremely great at using what they have at hand and whatever is under their control to ensure best possible service. I'm sure that with the hospitality industry recovering and business picking up momentum, this hotel would improve and offer services, comfort and quality that would grant even greater returns on the money paid! A definitely recommend place to stay!

The Holiday Inn Chennai Omr Thoraippakam is probably one of the nicest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The hotel itself is steeped in history. The staff is incredible. The breakfast buffet included in our reservation was wonderful and the variety of other restaurants in the hotel are also quite good.This hotel gets 5 stars

Hotel is in the outskirts of the city . Rooms are apt for a business traveler (single person). This was expected as it's a business hotel. Room size is even smaller than that of IBIS. In case you are planning for a stay with family, please do not book this. Room will be cramped, plus the variety of food in buffet (breakfast and dinner) will be very less. Just to add the location of hotel is in outskirts of city limit. All the above points are not "negatives" of the hotel. It's just the "Hotel" is targeting businesses travelers as it's customers. Overall my stay was as expected. Adding a couple of points , please be prepared to make use of common laundry and iron services on first floor . As they do not deliver iron to individual rooms. If your ask is a value for money option. You definitely have to check this out. At price point of Rs 3,700 per night (with complementary breakfast and dinner), the offer was too tempting for me to leave.

Less time it took in check in and I liked it very much. Food was good with hygiene maintained. But from 8:30 to 10 is very rush hours and every thing seems mess in dining area. Dining in room experience was also good with timely delivery of ordered items. As on current date it is not a good location considering the metro constructions on the same road which consumes lot of time in traveling due to heavy rush. Better you choose any other hotel till the time Metro constructions is in progress in Chennai.

Awesome place to stay on a budget. Stayed here for almost two weeks. Buffet breakfast included, good selection offered. Daily housekeeping service, replenishes what's being used. If you need anything extra they'll provide it. (Even provided me with a bar fridge). Laundry service available. (Bit expensive in my opinion). Rooms were so quiet i couldn't believe I was in a busy town. Would highly recommend it for a budget stay

Worst experience with this holiday in express . Never ever I suggest to anyone. Managment is charging equal to five star hotels price but nothing inside the hotel . Very congested place inside the room , This is first & last trap with this hotel . Bathroom are separates concept but there is no towel hanging hooks . Book through MakeMyTrip app , I thought this is 5 star property. When I enter the room I was very disappointed.

A good place to stay at a very good location. Rooms are very compact. Breakfast is okay. Hotel in general clean and hygienic. Looking at the room size, it is not value for money. The window in the room was so small that I did not notice it. Just okay for a single person.

We had a lovely stay! Our room was comfy, clean. The receptionist team was very friendly and professional. The breakfast and service was nice and fast. Dining staffs are very friendly we feel us like they are our family members. I would highly recommend this hotel good location easy access into city.

Very compact rooms. Small toilet space with small commode which is meant for children and small size people. Hefty, tall and bulk people will find it difficult to sit. Small bathroom with no place to hang towels. Washbasin in the central open space splashes water allover the already so compact room. Service is good. Responsive staff. Centrally located to cater to the IT people. Supplied water is good. In general, nice package for the money.

Full service Hotel. I was very impressed with all aspects. Food was great, service was outstanding, room was amazing. We had the absolute best east coast view. I would advise you to go to the beach for a morning picnic. We had all the fun things to do- beach sports, water sports, horse riding, etc....

Service is prompt and staff is very cooperative. Breakfast having many options is too good. The entire premises is very neat and clean. The only drawback is the rooms - all rooms are very compact/very small having no space of baggage, no chair for any guest and almirah for clothes.. even no hanger for keeping the clothes in the shower closet. So, it's good enough for singles for a couple of days trip... Not recommended for families..

I Stayed in Holiday inn express for almost one month in September 2021. Overall experience was quite good. Complimentary Breakfast was good and the rooms were neat. Front desk was supportive. not giving 5 star because of the access card system. It was very annoying. it stopped working every two days, and even for the lift you require this card. Rooms have seperate bathroom and toilet which I personally found inconvenient.

Good ambiance and affordable hotel with service oriented staff. Food was ok-ish. Need to think twice while having dinner but lot of outside options are available. All in all good experience

Very tiny rooms for double bed rooms. What I thought was a closet was actually the shower room and there was no closet space for storing clothes.Felt like a hospital room. Complimentary breakfast spread was nice but there were no live counters. Overall if you are looking for economical option near OMR then can go for it.

Compact rooms comfortable only for two people. Ambiance and options are good. Some of the time access cards are not working. Rest of all are fine.

This Holiday inn express need lot of improvements starts with bath towel . You can’t give old and rough towel to customers. Breakfast was pretty basic and recently they improved it. Overall just OK.

The room is well furnished but really small. The service and breakfast was horrible. Long waiting times for each. A lot of the items in breakfast were already finished before 10am

It was a lovely stay at holiday inn express. The service was quick and the food was delicious. I would recommend this place for anyone who’s looking for a budget friendly place to stay for the weekends. The staffs were polite and considerate with all the requests. We wanted a room change as my wife was feeling a little suffocated we spoke to Gayatri in the front desk and she immediately arranged for the room shift. We would like to thank everyone for this lovely stay will visit soon!

Not best place for family stay - No latches in toilet, no toilet papers, quality of service very poor, ordered normal naan / chappathi took more than 60 mins to deliver, quality of food also very bad, the rooms are way too small and will not be liked by any family who stay here. The Manager of IHG hotel was also not responding to calls or emails. Need to followup several times for booking, at the end of the day he never confirmed booking and had to book via 3rd party sites. Overall very bad in terms of service and quality

This is the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. The room has no wardrobe, bathroom has no hanger for towel. One has to live literally out of the suitcase. Inappropriate for family. Though reception says they have given me the biggest room. I wonder what pigeon hole the smaller rooms will be. Service is pathetic. They have roti only in dinner. Veg menu is only dal or mix veg.

This hotel is an utter disaster. I cannot believe they get away with some of the dirtiest maintenance and filthiest quality. 1. The shower gun for the commode does not work. 2. The bathroom comode itself has no privacy and has a see through gap between the door and frame. 3. The water in wash basin does not drain. It gets logged. 4. The clothes hanger in the shower room is removed. 5. The hosue keeping is too lazy to respond to any calls on priority.

Although pricey this is a cheap property. You will not even have a table inside the room. The bathroom don’t even have a space. If you are forced to stay here, then don’t order food from here. They don’t have a proper kitchen, but have a big Owen and a big freezer, you will get something from that freezer to Owen, got it. My advice is to take a property near by, it’s available too. I feel Oyo rooms are much better than this.

Rooms are relatively small for the liking. But considering the location it is understandable. Also they rooms are well maintained and staffs are friendly. Not ideal for a family stay and also it would have been good if there was one wardrobe inside the room to keep stuffs.

Very comfortable stay, neat, clean and compact rooms, very helpful staff at front desk (Mr. Kim). Bedsheets are very good. Bed mattress may be looked, IRD menu is very limited but still one can eat something or other. Thanks for your hospitality.
