    Come here to train if you want to get strong! My wife, son, and I have been training here 3x/week since May ‘21 and love it. We’re in our 60s and our son’s 27. I’ve been powerlifting for 10+ years on my own; they’ve never lifted a barbell before, but we’ve all made amazing progress…injury free! Coaches Chase and Phoebe watch every rep and provide cues and guidance on how to hold and move your body under a load. We train 4 main lifts; squat, bench & overhead press, and deadlift…these provide a full body workout every session using 95% of all your muscles. Each of us has gotten stronger, gained more energy and endurance (basically muscle!), and seen amazing improvements in our quality of life. The coaches do all your programming and you can follow your progress on a phone app. The location is clean and limited in size to 7 trainees each session, so it is definitely not like your commercial box gym at all. Training is individualized and tailored for what you need…if you’re not strong enough to do a particular lift, the coaches will program in modifications or assistance exercises to get you strong enough. Whether you’re a complete novice or a competitive lifter, this is the place to be in OKC…you will definitely see improvements as you make the commitment to get stronger.

    I started in May and doing something new for me was way out of my comfort zone. Having no weight training experience and having a job that requires me to sit most of the work day my neck, back, and hips experienced constant stiffness, pain, and discomfort. It's amazing how much my mobility, flexibility, and strength has improved in such little time oh and I'm pain free! Chase is an awesome coach and has been there for me every step of the way. All the staff at Starting Strength OKC are great give them a try, you will feel BETTER and STRONGER!

    If you are looking for another generic gym that seems hostile to new comers, that’s swamped with people waiting on machines, look elsewhere. If you want a place that actually cares about your progress, will work with you individually and make the experience about you, regardless of your background, this is the place. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy going to a “gym” again but this place seems less of a gym and more of a training facility with an expert coach. If you are on the fence about going somewhere and becoming healthier, try this place, you won’t regret it. I know I don’t.

    I cannot recommend Starting Strength OKC enough. The head coach, Chase is knowledgeable and friendly. I have lifted in the past, but laid off for several years. It has been wonderful to get coaching and feedback every time I walk through the door. In addition, you do not have to think about programming. The coach takes care of that. You just come in, be open to instruction and work hard. It couldn't be simpler. The rest of the staff is also friendly and helpful. The equipment is top notch and the facility is clean. You will also be provided with a digital logbook, which makes tracking your progress and keeping up with your training a breeze. Results are what matter. In under two months, I have added nearly 100 lbs to my deadlift, 45 lbs to my press, 60 lbs to my bench, and 60 lbs to my squat. This was in spite of some nagging physical problems. The coach will be able to accommodate you regardless of your goals or limitations. I also signed my son up who has experienced consistent gains. Come and check it out. You will not regret it.

    This is the best strength training gym you will ever go to. It is clean. The atmosphere is extremely friendly. The coaches are awesome and extremely knowledgeable. They don't try and trap you into a contract and are more than happy to work with you even if you are traveling through the area and just need a couple weeks at a time. I highly recommend this gym and recommend you check it out too even if you aren't sure strength training is for you they have a free introductory session for you to try it. Special shout out to Greg, Chase, and Colby for being awesome coaches and accommodating my short stay in the area. When I come back to OKC I will be coming back for more training!

    Best gym in OKC, hands down! Love that the coaches are so experienced and knowledgeable! It truly is the perfect place for anybody to get stronger and better their health! 10/10 Would highly recommend to anyone I meet. I’m so thankful that Chase and Phoebe coached me on how to correctly squat and deadlift so I could stop hurting my back and hips when I lift!

    Great gym and even better coaching, starting a month after back surgery and already feeling better and getting stronger. Definitely recommend this place to anyone that’s new or even if you have been lifting for years . The coaching will definitely help in areas you never thought would make a difference.

    Phoebe is seriously the best. When I first started starting strength I had no idea what I was doing. She made me feel comfortable and confident quickly. She is a great coach from teaching how to lift weights correctly to nutrition. All without being overwhelming/intimidating. Phoebe really cares and it shows. She encourages me and pushes me to be better. I am so thankful for her. I cannot wait to be back in the fall.

    I stopped by to get my Squat form dialed in on a visit to OKC and worked with Chase—great coach. Here's a guy that has put 400 pounds over his head yet is one of the most humble and down-to-earth people you'll meet. Chase gave me some simple cues that immediately improved my Squat, and even took the time after the session to chat about his own programming. Awesome experience and I highly recommend this gym.

    Great coaches that get great results! Heads up to be prepared to be greeted by two friendly, well behaved dogs when entering the gym. Unfortunately, like some of the floor, your legs may get covered with dog hair. The coaches are very skilled and knowledgeable, but at times seem tired or maybe burned out? They tend to argue among themselves or spend time playing with the dogs while customers are working out. One coach was even walking around the gym eating cupcakes! The coaches occasionally smile but seem grumpy at times, but they tend to really care about the customers! This all creates an odd atmosphere. Although very accommodating and open with scheduling changes, the email reminders did not keep up. Also a large overcharge mistake was made that was quickly resolved with a phone call was made to the owner. Overlook the querks, because the coaching skills are outstanding!
