We stayed here a night and enjoyed this old and cozy restaurant and hotel, in this cute old little city. Lovely setup, both inside and out; all nicely done. Impressed with coffee, dinner and lunch, with nice service. The rooms don’t have air conditioning and with warm weather they get quite warm. We also found the room quite dark. But lovely bathroom and comfy beds. I had asked the hotel’s help with flowers for the room, and they did an amazing job for a fair price. Lovey service! Will be back, when it’s a bit cooler…

Loved staying at the Herberg De gouden Leeuw...great atmosphere...great food...the room were clean and the staff were really friendly.

Really nice sofas by the fire, we had a coffee and some advocat dessert. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

Good service. Nice desserts - selection of 5 mini sweets. Excellent local beer. Even the wine from the region was OK. But never ask for the vegetarian plate. A few tough, dry vegetables sprinkled with olive oil - and not much oil Good coffee.

4 stars as an awesome place to have a drink. Really enjoyed the place, has fireplace, different styled rooms, different types is seating, inside or outside, a definite treasure in the smallest city of Netherlands. Is worth the trip. I didn’t eat or stayed to sleep, so my review doesn’t include evaluation on that. Don’t forget to walk around all the place before you leave, is BEAUTIFUL!

The room was small but lovely and interesting decoration and theme of Dickens. The restaurant was outstanding with well prepared delicious food and wine. Highly recommended. Book in time!
