I like the tavern look and feel of the bar, staff was extremely friendly and their classic deconstructed nachos are very yummy. Would recommend more diversity on the beer menu, especially since the rotating beer wasn’t available. Naturally don’t expect the place to become a craft beer bar, it’s not the target, but some more diversity would definitely please the spoiled Toronto beer drinkers like me.

BAR WELLINGTON IS BACK! We all thought this was closed for good, so so so happy to be randomly walking past and see humans there. Missed this place. Now the only proper pub in the area. Food is incredible, atmosphere is cozy nice pub vibe, great patio. But most of all the service, Ian was awesome. Huge genuine smile, great energy, efficient without ever feeling obtrusive. Thank you for a perfect time, be back very soon!

Stopped in for a birthday treat and that it was. Service was good. Coming a server saw us and stopped what she was doing to seat us. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating. I got the flak steak (which should be a below par cut) and got it blue and it was quiet nice. She got the stout pot pie. The pot pie was like a rich stew on mashed potatoes and a pastry topper. It was rich and flavourful.

The service is awesome. Very friendly staff and they have a good beer selection - we got some brussel sprouts, Wellington spa and hoegaarden. Good place. Good vibes

I was my second time here But I have to say the first time experience was better The service was a bit slow No one notice us when we wanted to order Also last time they did ask if we need some coffee or tea, but this time we got ignored🤭 However, the food itself was pretty delicious I love the brunch they provide. The food quality is consistent 👌 The Benedict eggs were cooked perfectly The sausage taste good Also the toast we ordered(I forgo the name) taste nicely. The parsley flavor and the chicken works pretty well together

Great spot. Varied menu, good drink options and the food tasted great. We were unfortunately in the corner of a room with not much atmosphere but the main bar looks super cosy! Will definitely be back and would reccomend.

This place is typically a good spot my wife and friends come to for summer drinks and a bite. We have spent many brunches and dinners here over the last 4 years in the area. We had a bad experience a month ago. Eva the operations manager contacted me the same day, to understand what happened. We talked through what happened the next day. A month later we gave bar Wellington another shot of redemption. They did really well! One sunday prime rib meal is a ton food for one person!

This restaurant gave me mixed reactions. The good: pleasant selection of beer on tap, there something on tap to please anyone who drinks beer, and I enjoyed mine. The bad: I got the prime rib poutine and I found it on the salty side. As a matter of fact everyone at my table who didn't get a vegetarian meal also found their dishes too salty as well. The service was also very slow, the restaurant was relatively full, but it was still very difficult to get service to our table.

Open again, however lots of room for improvement. Really hope these guys can pull it together. Flush your draft lines and please wash your glasses properly (bleach is not appealing) .

It's a nice place to visit. Little bit expensive but food quality is 4-5 stars. If I go there again, my answer is yes if I'm in that area doing business. Beer is awsome. All around all good 👍

Went here with a group of 9 on the night of July 1st just wanting to drink and relax. Our server was this brunette women who looked to be in her late 30s she was fine at first, did nothing special she just took our orders and brought us drinks. When she leaned over to place a drink down my nose curled at the rancid fishy smell that was coming from the women, I was disgusted but just kept to myself. Then the bills came, and I guess after her mediocre service she expected a big tip or something because as soon as she seen what she was getting tipped she had the most grotesque attitude I’ve seen in awhile. She then slammed the debit machine down on the table in front of my peer who was the last to pay. After collecting the last payment she sarcastically said “thanks for the awesome tip guys!”, And ran to the back. The owner should really hire employees who have good hygiene and actually want to work. Would recommend to those who like the smell of sea world or Ripley’s Aquarium.

Came here with optimism hearing it's under new ownership. Disappointed. Food still sucks. Ordered 'basket of frites' with a side of gravy... received a small bowl of fry-ends and cold gravy (literally out of the fridge). Our pints were good, however, nice and cold and bubbly - indicative of clean lines. Waitress was average. 6/10. Such a missed opportunity for what is honestly one of the most perfect locations downtown.

Love the aesthetic of a charming neighborhood pub, and that doesn't disappoint. The food we had was very underwhelming. I'll go again and try something else, but the steak and nachos were not it.

This was a great little bar that we stumbled upon. Gave a strong "bar" vibe with a nice brick interior. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the building itself was an old house which was very interesting. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Bar keep was a great guy from Kent, friendly and prompt. Atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Now to the food....fries....top notch. My partner ordered a burger...underseasoned and a little dry. I, ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. Not very good at all, tasted a little freezer burnt and reheated. Don't like to complain, but was very disappointed. Beer was fantastic though.

Foods a bit small, but everything tasted amazing. Service was really good. Never had to wait long for a refill and appetizers were super tasty.

just a good ol' fashioned pub. Great food, the people who served us were so kind, chill and added to the very laid back atmosphere. For those who like a place to read a book with a pint, or have a casual night out with friends. All a great time; this is definitely my new spot to unwind.

Very nice place. Nice food and nice staff. Fish and chips are super. The red wine is very good. A place with music but on a normal volume. Hope to come here again…but from Europe….😉

Went there for a Sunday brunch and food and service were awesome. No need to do reservation in advance. I had the Portuguese breakfast and my friend had the the fluffy eggs both were amazing but the Portuguese was specially good. I totally recommend. Also don’t forget the mimosa

We found it by chance strolling along Wellington St. We are a bit older than the bar crowd but decided to try it. Immediately felt we made the right choice, greeted by friendly host. Excellent service, no loud music as in so much other bars, pubs or restaurants 😁, great food and ... finally tap water that didn t taste like water with desinfectant in 👍👍👍.

We just went for the first time as we live nearby and we felt like a big bother to the staff, they were not warm whatsoever. We were overly kind and trying to make jokes as we felt like they didn’t really like us but nothing changed. The food was okay but we enjoyed the cocktails.

Was very disappointed. Nice looking bar. Service.was slow for.not.being busy. Bam bam shrimp was overpriced for.being frozen pre-made shrimps. Very small portion. Gravy was awful. Tasted like instant gravy.hopefully things turn around with new owners. Or manamgent

Bar Wellington is truly the hidden gem of King West. Great food, even better prices and the best staff in Downtown Toronto! Be sure to ask for Kayvon, Dan, or Franko! They have the best attitude, service, and smiles! :)

Just alright. Great patio space in the summer, but 0 vibes. So much potential with the space and the location, but usually somewhere I end up if everywhere else is busy/full and I’m on king west.

Used to be one of my faves, but it's never really come back since reopening. Food menu is really limited compared to what it was, and I really miss weekend brunch after our runs. The food they do offer is good, and the service is still good.

Ordered a quinoa salad with very little quinoa. It was a fine salad, I just wouldn’t call it a quinoa salad if 95% of it is other ingredients.

Great lil pub with a general food and drink menu! They have every day deals that are of great value. Expansive patio makes it a good place to drop in with friends.

I see this place is still closed. Hooray. Stopped going there because it has the worst service and worst food of any pub I've ever been too. What a waste of a great patio.

Bar Wellington is a great spot. What used to be a private residence in the heart of downtown, is now a historical site where you can wine & dine surrounded by concrete castle condominiums. Always a great vibe, delicious drinks and food.

We just sat on the patio and ordered 2 Guinnesses. It says on their Menu: Guinness $9.75 I simply told the server we would like 2 Guinnesses. She replied “No problem” nothing else. When we received the bill. We were charged over 11 dollars per drink. When I brought this up. They simply said “Oh, the $9.75 is for the 16oz. We gave you a 20oz. Did she ask which size you wanted”? I said no she didn’t. Then we only received a “sorry about that” I’d like to also point out. The 20oz is not even listed on the menu. I checked throughly, and it is not there. We weren’t given options or asked which size we wanted. We both feel taken advantage of and ripped off. They didn’t even offer us a solution. Very poor experience. EDIT: I Don’t usually do this. But after your response. I feel it’s necessary to share a few more things. You did not try and a remedy the situation. Nothing was offered in regards to a solution except a very swift “sorry about that” I am also not fond of you bringing up points about my honest review of a situation that happened exactly as I stated it happened affecting your livelihood. You guys overcharged us for what we ordered. A simple, “hey, just to clarify we haven’t updated our menu. What size would you like? They are different prices than on the menu” would have sufficed nicely. Also, with tax and tip and TWO drinks I might add. It is not $2. It’s more like $5.19. Borderline the price of another drink. Communication is key. There was none there that afternoon. Take ownership of it. And stop trying to guilt trip people who give honest feedback when they have a poor experience.

Came on a nice summer’s day, great patio on a side street of king west. Ordered the deconstructed nachos and it was excellent! Also discovered and had a cucumber gose which tasted like pickle brine (absolutely delish).

Nice little spot with a patio and perfect for a summer hang. The service is prompt. Food is your typical bar food but portions are good!

1 star, as I didn't eat here. I stopped in with a couple of friends before going to dinner. All I had was a diet drink. In all fairness, not sure what the alcohol drink are like. I was on the patio, and it was decent enough.

Since I moved to the area 2.5 years ago, I've walked past bar wellington numerous times and have always wanted to visit. It finally reopened and we got to try it out. Friendly staff and good vibes and the patio looks fantastic so I'm still looking forward to that. Hope the menu expands a bit, would love to see some regular bar staples and finger food, like wings or nachos!

A cute little bar tucked away in the corner. Next to dog park and away from the hustle bustle of King St! Wonderful place to chill with friends and family with a 🍺🍻. Will definitely come back to try the other food! I only had the fries and a pint. :)

So happy our neighbourhood favourite has reopened! I organized a surprise party for my hubby and everything was perfect for us plus 20 guests. Dan on the second floor was fantastic with fast and friendly service. All the food we ordered was delicious, especially the dumplings and hot brownie desserts served in mini cast iron skillets. Thank you for making our party fun and stress-free! Look forward to coming there for many more celebrations!

Really lovely pub with quiet atmosphere that feels like a real European beer garden/ pub. Lovely servers and the other patrons are friendly as well. Dog friendly too. Passes vibe check 10/10

We went around 11 pm on Friday night and luckily got a table at the Patio. The kitchen had closed at that time so we just had drinks. The service was quick and our server (don’t remember his name) was quick with our requests. It was a pleasant Friday evening for sure :)

It's a nice pub with decent beer selection but the food is average. The price is also a bit steep for what you get. I had a beef dip with "prime rib" but the meat was clearly not fresh and the sandwich was quite small.

👍 Good food as always! Convenient. Kids friendly. One star less because in the men’s washrooms there is no arrangement for baby diapers change. I managed it somehow but for a single dad with baby it is not convenient. I hope management would put up something to resolve it. Thank you.
