Wife and I visited Hendricks on a Friday night in Aug. We were greeted and seated immediately. Staff was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The food was amazing. We ordered a steak and salmon for our mains. Both cooked exactly as we asked and tasted great. Compliments to the Chef. Hendricks, thank you for a pleasant experience 😊👌

Food was so good especially the Greek tacos🙂. They even asked if there are any allergies before ordering food. Our food came fast and the flavours are amazing. Definitely order the parmigiana meatballs! 10/10 would definitely recommend to come!

Was looking forward to this restaurant as I heard so many good reviews about the food. The food definitely did not disappoint but the service did. I had booked a reservation for 2 a month in advance and also indicated on the reservation it was for celebrating a birthday. We got to the reservation on time and the restaurant was not busy only one other table with guest. Once we arrived the hostess seated us and we waited 20 minutes before a server who wasn't our assigned server took our order. During this 20 minutes we watched other guest who arrived get seated at their tables which were in the same section as ours and the server who is assigned to our section took all their drink orders and served drinks to them. This all was before we even had a server come to us. Neither the assigned server seem to want to serve us or intentionally was doing this as he did walk by our table numerous times even before the other guests arrived. Later, the server who took our order passed our order slip to the assigned server. The assigned server then brought out the food and never checked up on us for a long while. We then signaled him over and asked for boxes to pack up the meal. He never offered the dessert menu either. This definitely was a downer on our day while celebrating a birthday. Was really disappointed as we have gone to many other restaurants within the downtown core to celebrate occasions and casually dine out and usually there was an acknowledgement and better curteous service with happy staff.

fancy cozy place, service was good and so was the food. we had the calamari, strip loin sandwich and chicken sandwich, both were very good. the server was kind , and attentive as well. will definitely recommend and come back again :)

no. let me start off by saying that the atmosphere was nice, the decor was nice, the staff were kind. the first thing that rubbed me off the wrong way, was the smell of the dining area, I'm not sure what kind of meat, but it was unpleasant. secondly, i don't understand the vibe of this restaurant/bar... is it fine dining? then why most of the menu items were like jack astor's? anyway, i ordered a chilli & lime margarita, and it was INEDIBLE, it was BEYOND ACIDIC and BEYOND HOT. u couldn't taste anything, first sip and my stomach burned, not recommended. the calamari was literally rubber, and kind of smelled, as if it was old. the only thing that was just NOT BAD (but not special) was their brisket sandwich which came with a sliced pickle on the plate (?) overall won't be going back, and won't recommend.

came here for my friend's birthday dinner. We Came here during Thursday night so wasn't to busy and we don't need reservation.The ambiance was really nice, a good place to hangout, drinks chat. Service was nice, quick and attentive. here's what we ordered : 1. Cowboy cut pork chop the pork cooked was perfectly, came with the sides ( fries, coleslaw, baked potato etc) you can choose between any of that. The portion was pretty decent for one people. 2. Fish and Chips At first I hesitate whether I should order this or not because fish and chips sometimes can be tricky if they undercooked it or vice versa. Like, sometimes it can be to soggy which I hate. So I don't have any expectation for this and just order it anyway. But then, I was actually pretty mind blown because it's really tasty and crispy!! paired with coleslaw, fries! 3. Creme Brûlée Cheesecake the cheesecake was delicious, not to sweet event they put caramel sauce on top of it! so that's a bonus! it came as a slice so we shared the cake for both of us. it's actually a perfect dessert for us after we ate savoury stuff. Overall : 8/10

Did some outside dining during the end of summer (2021) and it was a fantastic experience at this lovely restaurant! Prices are solid, food is phenomenal and the service in and out was extremely impressive, having no problems/issues during the meal. Having a light lunch I tried two appetizers and they were both filling and extremely taste. I had not one problem with the meals and dare I say the crispy calamari they serve (look at photos) is the best I've had in Toronto, and with the sause it's absolutely fantastic! I also had the greek taco's (also in the photos) which were very taste and hardy considering the size. My cousin had the club Hendricks and he loved it (also in the photos), and if I wasnt so preoccupied with my own food I would've wanted a bite of his! This resturant has a good variety of food and drinks meant more for a slightly older crowd, but is a very nice place for a very exquisite meal with friends, family, coworkers, etc. I also appreciate the price for such a high traffic area being right in the heart of downtown Toronto (just south of dundas square) and on yonge street no less. Best bang for your buck for a more lavished experience!

Amazing service, great drinks. The food was very good. I had the salmon, was just slightly disappointed at the portion size. For $33 I'd have expected something else on the plate. You can see from the picture it's quite bare. Other then that, 5/5.

Souvlaki (pork) 5/5 Pork was cooked perfectly, with the right amount of smokies. The tzatziki sauce was rich and creamy. Calamari 2/5 Calamari was a bit soggy and the portion was quite small...

A Spooktacular Halloween Dinner Delight! My boyfriend and I decided to celebrate Halloween with a dinner date at Hendriks Eaton Centre, and it turned out to be a spooktacular experience! We kicked off our evening with the calamari, and it was an absolute treat. The calamari was perfectly crispy, and the flavours were spot-on. It set the tone for a delightful meal ahead. As always, I opted for my go-to, the Cobb Salad. True to form, it never fails to impress. The ingredients were fresh, and the combination of flavours was simply delicious. It's a reliable choice that never disappoints. My boyfriend chose the roasted chicken, and it was a hit. The chicken was incredibly juicy, and the accompanying potato fries were a tasty complement. The portion size left him satisfied, striking a perfect balance between indulgence and fulfilment. What truly stood out, besides the fantastic food, was the exceptional service. The staff was not only friendly but also embraced the Halloween spirit, adding an extra layer of fun to our evening. They happily joined in on our little costume festivities, making the entire dining experience memorable. While the overall experience was fantastic, I reserve that fifth star for those truly extraordinary moments. Nevertheless, Hendriks Eaton Centre delivered a Halloween dinner that exceeded our expectations. Delicious food, generous portions, exceptional service, and a touch of Halloween magic all contribute to a solid 4/5 stars. We'll definitely be back for more culinary delights!

Really nice place with good food and happy hour specials. The octopus was well cooked and not a chewy texture so that was quite enjoyable. Veggie burger and dip was good. Calamari was quite nice too. Our group enjoyed the drinks and the service was great. Our server was really fun to engage with and it was a great visit for our team.

Located conveniently outside of the Eaton Centre. Had a great experience overall. Both the food and service was great. Loved the decor and ambiance too. I made reservations to dine in on a weeknight. I noticed that Hendriks had Happy Hour between 3-6pm Monday-Friday. When I checked on their website there wasn’t any detailed information. So I decided to call. The hostess said she was new and didn’t have any answers (and to ask the server). When I did dine in it was to my disappointment that Happy Hour specials only applied to drinks (and not food).

Enjoyed a nice dinner while visiting Toronto. Emma and Sam were friendly faces at the entry, convincing me to stay and enjoy. Tried the steak salad - the presentation was not what I expected and the steak was very thin, but all flavors were good and I truly enjoyed it with scrumptious sauteed mushrooms. Bartender's wine recommendation was spot on.

The best restaurant in Toronto! I am from Naples, Florida and we had the best service and food. The owner and chef stopped by our table to check with us and was so gracious. Excellent!

Memorable moments can be made at Hendriks. Located in the heart of the city by Eatons, Hendriks offers an exquisite dining experience that’s paired with their delicious dishes & impeccable service. Their menu offers an exciting range of the classic American dishes along with Mediterranean influences, with one focus - something for everyone. What stole the show was definitely their ribs which are imported from Denmark, and are slow cooked for 12 hours daily. The owner was thoughtful enough to explain this to me, and I can definitely tell he was very passionate about the food he offers! Nothing was disappointing and we had a fantastic lunch here. Hendrik's Restaurant & Bar is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal at Eaton center in Toronto. The atmosphere is upscale and inviting, and the service is great. The menu features a variety of dishes, including seafood, steak, and pasta. I highly recommend the sea food linguine and charred Moroccan octopus. The sea food linguine is made with fresh seafood and a light, flavorful sauce. The charred Moroccan octopus is tender and flavorful. Overall, Hendrik's Restaurant & Bar is a great place to enjoy a special meal.

Celebrated my "solo" birthday at Hendrik's yesterday. I thought I'd try it out since I haven't been. I love the atmosphere, the decor and set up (classy). It was pretty quiet for Monday afternoon at 1PM which I immensely enjoyed as I crave NOT of any loudness and noise. I only ordered two from the menu plus a cocktail drink ~ 1st an appetizer - Crispy Calamari with herb & honey cajun aioli for $17; 2nd main course of Prime N.Y. Striploin Steak Chimichurri 14 oz. with seasonal vegetables of broccoli, carrots and mushrooms for $49 and a drink, the Aperol Spritz for $15. The portions were reasonably filling. If I may add a slight disappointment on the steak hence the 4 stars as opposed to 5. I find it slightly hard to cut albeit I asked for medium well. However, I have had steaks cooked in medium well from one or two well known steak joint in Toronto and I was indeed pleased and enjoyed every bite of it. I asked to pack half of the steak for home take out. It would've been deliciously savoured had it been tender to cut. I ate it later at night for dinner. Mind you, it was deliciously flavoured with the chimichurri and vegetables on the sides. Last minute decision, I ordered two desserts to take home (sweet tooth that I am) - Warm Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla ice cream and Pecan Pie. I requested for the ice cream to serve and brownie to pack. Lo and behold... Anastacia served the ice cream with one small candle hence made me happy to blow and make a wish on my special day of celebrating life!

We visited this place for drinks around 0530 pm so we still managed to order from happy hour . The interiors are nicely done and you have an option to sit at tables or bar . The cocktails are average and I won’t say it’s worth the price . We didn’t order food but it looked good as a lot of people were eating there . Service was decent .

Nice spot for food and drinks. Small menu but the items we tried were delicious and were served in good portions. The NY StripLoin Sandwich, steak, ribs and souvla platter are wonderfully presented in the attached. I didn’t appreciate that we wanted to change seats and weren’t allowed to and then other guests came and sat down and got to change seats. Waitress didn’t give us water to start off with either. Overall it has nice decor, tasty food with reasonable prices in generous portions.

This was one of the greatest meals I’ve had in a very long time. I had done my research about Hendricks and check their social media profiles, but nothing could prepare me from the incredible, flavorful feast that I was about to indulge in! The food was EPIC and the portions were giant! The staff were friendly and spot on in their recommendations. Best of all was the owner, who was an absolute treasure of a human being. The whole experience was amazing and I would happily and thoroughly recommend this place to everyone I know! Best of all, when the theatre’s open again, it’s right down the street from Ed Mirvish!

First time tried this place and I enjoyed food and services. Calamari was crispy and flavourful while still have tenderness from squids. Loved my salad with steak and fries. Steak was served in cool with salad and comes with side of fries. Fried onion strings on the salad were bit hard for me but still good to eat My friend ordered Hendriks burger and he finished all. As per his comments, it was tasty too Our server was also professional and friendly.

Fantastic pub and restaurant experience! We had the Octopus, Chicken, and NY Steak sandwich. The sandwiches were spot on, especially the steak sandwich – would definitely have that again. Seated by the bar, we enjoyed a lively view of the bustling Yonge St. However, if you're looking to watch a game, be aware that the TVs are on the smaller side. You might need to sit up close to catch the score, unless of course, you've got vision like Superman!

Booked the restaurant online because it was by the theatre. Service was good, food arrived fairly quick as I let them know beforehand we were there to attend theatre show. Food was satisfactory, ordered the Reuben sandwich and NY steak sandwich which were decent sizes. Upgraded both our sides to ceasar salad and was charged an extra $5 per person, which is pricey for additional charges. We weren't informed either of how much extra it was, otherwise would've stuck with what's offered. It was a busy atmosphere, sat by the open window. Nice for date night or to chill with friends.

Busy place with dark decor. It’s more elevated than some of the local restaurants around Eaton Centre, and is therefore slightly pricier. It’s not as hectic as Joey so you can get quickly get a table without a reservation. Food and service is ok. I got the fish and chips, which did the job but wasn’t particularly good/bad. Washrooms are nice - modern and spacious. Overall I’d recommend this place for some post retail therapy. Also if you want to be able to hear and have conversations with your friends/family without feeling the need to shout!

My wife and I went here for a celebration. We were very impressed with the atmosphere and the quality of the food. Our server, Tyler was phenomenal: he was charming, funny, and delivered impeccable service. We’re so excited for our next visit!

Went to Hendriks with my friend today. I walked by it the day before and it's aesthetic really caught my eye. So in passing again today I really wanted to check it out. Absolutely beautiful bar/restaurant, our server George was an absolute gem. I got to experience a drink I would NEVER order that I loved!, thanks to George's recommendation. We sat at the bar, And the food was absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed our conversation throughout with George. We had creme brûlée cheesecake for dessert. Oh my gosh... SO good. It's been a long time since I've been so impressed with every little detail of a dining experience. It was more than well worth every penny. Go check them out, they're an absolute treat!

We went here with friends to celebrate a milestone we hit, have a drink together to salut together and enjoy the patio. It was quite fascinating to seat, enjoy observe passing strange cars and curious pedestrians. The atmosphere was outstanding. enjoy 😉

I ordered NY Striploin Sandwich from Uber Eat, bread was soggy and not crispy, onion was not crispy, the steak was undercooked, had no seasoning and taste, also not sliced, temperature was cold. Loaded baked potato was not loaded at all, just garnish on top, undercooked, and cold and no taste at all. It was disgusting Overall my feedback is overpriced and my last order from Hendriks.

Mixed reviews for this one. First time visiting and atmosphere and lighting superb let me say that! Took a long time to have waiter over to greet and take orders. Shortly after the fire alarm goes off and the noise remains steady for a great length of our dining experience. We ordered the ribs with fries and slaw. Also for appetizers we enjoyed calamarie which was seasoned to perfection- hats to Chef. Waiter disappeared multiple times so overall wasn't a good first impression. When our food was boxed he basically threw the Cole slaw in with the ribs and remainder of calamari which made reheat at hotel difficult and food was soggy. If you are going to order be aware that the location is adjacent to a mall with a shared fire alarm. Not sure if we will revisit once we return to Canada but hoping to have a better impression if that Is the case.

Hendricks is in the perfect location downtown Toronto. Large dining room with perfectly dimmed lights and beautiful interior design - it feels cozy and comfortable dining here. The service can be spotty, it's hard to get service staff attention for orders, coffee refills etc. Other than that, the food we ordered was great.

Food - 5/5 it was spectacular. All three courses we had were exquisite. Service - 3/5, was quite slow and needs to improve. Otherwise very nice restaurant with a trendy vibe. Will be back soon.

Our server, Jason, was awesome! He was knowledgeable about the menu, professional, and easy to interact with. The food was very tasty, but I wish the portions were larger for the price. The evening host was fabulous, too. He gave us great info on the local shows (*we saw Happy Potter and LOVED it!). It was a very enjoyable dining experience for sure. We'd definitely go back.

At first entry, my husband and I were ready to leave because it was so bloody hot inside we were sweating but so glad we stayed! We shared the calamari and sea bass. Calamari was absolutely delicious, crispy outside and perfect texture. Sea bass was one of the best meals we have had out in a long time! Washed it down with delicious gin smash cocktail. Amazing meal all around.

It was awesome, food was incredible, I ate the ribs and my wife the salmon. Both were incredible delicious 😋... the staff are very kind and happy to help. If you need a place where to have a nice evening this one would be a great option

This was an excellent choice! Reservations suggested. When we arrived they asked if we were headed to a show at the CAA Mirvish theatre that evening - we were. We were seated immediately. Our server arrived promptly and confirmed we were headed to the show. Drink orders taken right away. Specials explained. Food order taken even before the drinks arrived. Food arrived so fast - it was awesome! The food and service were excellent! Definitely coming back!

💭My bf and I chose Hendriks as our date night spot and we were so glad we did 🥹 Phenomenal service, tasty food, and such a cozy romantic atmosphere! I got the Steak & frites (swapped for a loaded baked potato), and my boyfriend got the Hendricks burger with fries. We both really enjoyed our meals! (P.S the espresso martinis are to die for!)

We came to Hendriks for the first time for my birthday dinner and had a great experience from start to finish. The hostesses were welcoming and kind, the food was delicious (and giant portions) and the drinks were great. The star of the night was our server Vig who provided thoughtful and efficient service. He was friendly and attentive and gave us great recommendations. We will definitely be back!

Overall Hendriks was pretty good. A bit more attention can be put into the food though. The tuna tartar starter was good but slightly under-seasoned. I ordered the ribeye steak for the main, asked for it medium rare, it came a bit more on the medium side, and again, under-seasoned. Cocktails were really good though and staff was amazing.

Great value and a great overall atmosphere. Service was superb and fast. The Mediterranean Roasted Chicken was fantastic and fairly big portion for the price. Will definitely be going back

Service at its best - 100%. Want an amazing team! I had the pleasure of being attended to by 3 exceptional people Graham, Tyler and Anisa! I was made to feel like the most important person in the restaurant ( which was getting busier by the minute!) and I want to thank you all for a super special experience. The food was exquisite ( compliments to the chef!) and, I cannot do justice in describing the Espresso Martini- you just have to taste it!
