Very nice park! One of the best free park that I have ever seen. Especially during cherry blossom season! People is packed during weekends so better go during weekdays to appreciate the nature and peacefulness of the place. It does not feel that it was situated inside a city. Finding a place to park your car near the park is kinda difficult, we have to park near the lake and walk which is okay since the weather is good. We will definitely go back! You also have to walk to find restaurants

High Park is one of my favourite places to go to take pictures or just to take a stroll and relax. I never get tired of this place because it is beautiful all season. I admire the changing colours of the leaves in the Fall, kids tobogganing in winter or building snowman, children having fun in the playground, families just enjoying their day, going out for walks, having a picnic, enjoying the bloom of cherry blossoms, going for a train ride in summer. I also enjoy watching the swans gracefully swimming in the pond. I did miss going to the park because of the pandemic. Now I can start going back again and enjoying nature. Words are not enough to describe the beauty of this park but wonderful moments seen and experienced will stay on and forever be remembered.

It is one of the places you should see with its untouched nature and landscape. It is a fascinating place with its different and equally beautiful views. There are walking areas and recreation areas where you can have a good time with your family.

It may be the best park in Toronto! It's suitable for hiking or walking dogs in summer, and there are many facilities and trails to choose from. There are a zoo, nature trails, and a dog walks area, a swimming pool, a tennis court, playgrounds, and many trees! There are a lot of parking spaces here and many shared bicycles to rent. It is also convenient to have a subway station next to the park. We visited this park for the first time and had a great afternoon here.

Lovely park in a busy neighborhood! This park is especially popular during sunny days and has some nice walking trails available. With so many restaurants and cafΓ©s nearby, it’s a great spot to enjoy while snacking on something from nearby or a coffee stroll. Also worth mentioning that it’s accessible via street bike lanes so it’s a great destination if you’re looking to take a bike ride!

This is a gorgeous enormous park amongst the busy streets of Toronto. From a zoo, to various types of trees, to playgrounds, to open spaces for picnics there is something here for everyone. This place is a must see on the west end of Toronto. There is so much to do and see in the park you could easily plan to spend a day on this park if you wanted

We love our visit to high park today. Lots of green , playing fields and hiking areas. There is a dogs off leash area if you have dogs. There are few animals to see in the zoo section. Would recommend to pack food as there isn't much option available in the park. There are many parking available on weekdays.Expect much traffic when you leave.(small roads / constructions / low speed limit)

Nice place in Toronto city, a beautiful fall color for lazy explorers. It takes 3 3-minute walk from the Keel subway station if you are coming from the East (4 min from Runnymede if you are coming from the West). A long trail for bikers, with options for pet-friendly spots, hiking, and running. Also, a small zoo in the south most recently opened to entertain kids. Best to try it the sunny days. Weekends are getting a bit more crowded than in the past.

One of my favorite spot in Downtown Toronto. I could spend a whole day in here, buying fresh pasta, great quality sea food and meat, Kozlik's Canadian Mustard, souvenirs, organic fruits, cheese and dairy. What's not to love here?

High park is my favourite part of Toronto especially when you want surround yourself with nature without getting out Toronto. Fall is so stunning here. There are lots of small trains for a easy hike in the park. And btw, this park is huge, with a beautiful lake with swans and ducks. Must visit if you are a tourist, or looking to go for a trail run or just to spend some peaceful time in nature. Heads-up: weekend can be busy, especially in summers and everyone is here taking lots of pictures.

This is my most favorite park in Toronto. (Or maybe second after Toronto Island). It is so stunningly beautiful all year around and it's well connected by public transit from Line 2 and from TTC buses. High Park is a must visit park specially in Cherry blossom season. It won't disappoint you.

Always something new to see weather you have visited once or twenty times. Amazing views and images. There is two different pond areas great for watching wildlife. The largest of the two ponds is right off Spring road and large parking lot, free. This area is always quiet and not many cars any day of the week.

Definitely 5 star for what its worth. Stunningly beautiful! The other reviews have gotten the right... BUT: 1. Entrance and parking information is not intuitively available. Had me going around in circles, in traffic, for a while. Info on Google maps needs to be updated. 2. Place could do with better maps, once inside. 3. Except near the entrance, washrooms were closed.

It’s beautiful. Very nice place to hangout with friends, family or alone if you like. You can see various types of bird, goose, swans. On top you will find parking, washroom, food place for convenience (not sure if they are open around the year). Rent a bicycle or walk around to see beautiful nature. Only issue I would say it’s busy sometime

It's a huge park, very beautiful and great for a lot of activities. Parking inside is closed during weekends, nearby street parking is usually full and finding a spot becomes bit of a hassle sometimes and has 3 hours limit. But once you get inside, it's great for spending time with family in a beautiful natrual serene environment. Great for a walk, cycling, picnic with friends and family, there's also a free zoo where kids enjoy watching and interacting with the animals. It's specially beautiful during the cherry blossom season and offers great spots for taking beautiful pictures. The play area is also great for kids of all ages. Overall it's one of the best parks in the city!

This is surely one of the best public parks in the city of Toronto. Not only is it situated in a nice part of town, but you honestly can't even tell that you are in a large urban metropolis. There's so many different trees and wildlife in the park. There are also tennis courts and a swimming pool and kilometers of cycling trails. It's great for walking hiking picnics. It's also pet friendly, so it's a great place to walk your dog or bring your kids to play. The park offers so much to see and there are so many different areas within the park that you can easily spend the whole weekend at the park and not have covered it all. There is also the High Park zoo, which has a good variety of animals for kids and adults alike! For anyone who lives in the city as well as for visitors, this is a must-see free activity!

Absolutely must visit, so worth it! Doesn’t feel like you’re in Toronto. Beautifully well kept, there’s tons of trails for walking, biking and spots to enjoy nature. The restrooms were clean. There’s fishing, a zoo and tons of little animals like chipmunks, squirrels, ducks and Canadian geese.. perfect spot for a picnic, to walk your dog or just sit and read a book in the sun! Highly recommend!

I recently visited the park, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The vast open spaces allowed for serene walks, while the diverse terrains added an adventurous touch. The small zoo was a delightful surprise, offering a charming variety of animals. The lakes added tranquility, making it a perfect spot for picnics. A truly immersive experience that caters to all ages and interests. Just that carry some food and snacks with you, because once you enter, there is no place to eat, just one or two eateries, but most of the times it is close.

An enormous Park with a mix of beautifully landscaped grounds of native and tropical flowers, plants and trees and wild areas for hiking and biking. The Japanese Garden is elegant and Colborne Lodge is an interesting heritage building. Grenadier Pond is tranquil and lovely to stroll around. Chipmunks are everywhere so please bring peanuts! The zoo is charming and the animals seem very well cared for - Bison, Mouflon Sheep, Llamas, Peacocks and Emus amongst others. The Grenadier Cafe offers delicious refreshments. There is also a fabulous new children's recreation area. We are so lucky to have this fabulous Park on our doorstep!

High Park is easily accessible by public transit. The park is closed to vehicles on weekends throughout the year, but there is some street parking nearby. There are outdoor skating rinks in winter and a pool in summer. There are also plenty of trails to explore and many running and fitness groups take advantage of the open space. It's an enormous park and definitely worth a visit if you're craving some nature but don't want to deal with traffic trying to leave the city.

High Park in Toronto is an absolute gem! This sprawling urban oasis offers a breathtaking escape from the bustling city. The park's lush greenery, picturesque gardens, and serene ponds create a tranquil atmosphere. The cherry blossoms in spring are a sight to behold, drawing crowds from far and wide. With its extensive trails, High Park is a paradise for nature lovers and hikers. The highlight, of course, is the magnificent Grenadier Pond, perfect for picnics or leisurely strolls. Whether you're seeking solitude or a fun-filled day with family and friends, High Park is a must-visit destination in Toronto.

This park is Fantastic! Hike trail was very easy, more for a casual hike then anything hard. Great way to stay out of the sun for a little bit, river and lake kept the area cool as well. Worth a visit, you can spend half a day or a full day here. Best part was there was a couple there with a perfect Corgi, who allowed us to play with the doggie. Thank you to that couple, who was extremely nice. The kids still talk about it to this day.

I absolutely love this park. It's a large park with tall wide trees and unleashed areas for dogs to run free. Long wide paths to walk, jog, and bike ride. There's a sports area as well as a performance stage for entertainment. You'll see squirrels and cute chipmunks running around. There's also a little zoo on the grounds, and it's gorgeous in the fall.

A beautiful spot for family time!! A wonderful stop for youth to plan a picnic and a lovely park for children to play around. An area surrounded by lots of greenery and bushes. You must go at least once! Number of food options available including fast food, burgers, ice creams, candy bars. Portable public washrooms are available. They have rent and ride bicycle services which is convenient!! They have a mini train service which helps people move all around the park. They have two options half hour pf ride and a full hour of ride at very cheap prices!! Best place for photography!!

Such a beautiful park. The biggest park i believe in Toronto. Lots of areas to cover and explore. Has a beautiful waterfront as well. Has a maze, small zoo, a museum and many other highlights. Definitely cannot cover in a single visit. Wish there were better signage though.

High Park is an idyllic oasis nestled in the heart of Toronto. I recently had the pleasure of visiting during the cherry blossom season, and it was a breathtaking experience. The park's lush greenery was punctuated with stunning bursts of pink and white as the cherry trees bloomed, creating a serene and beautiful atmosphere. But the cherry blossoms were not the only highlight of my visit. High Park is also home to a fantastic zoo, which features a variety of fascinating animals. The animals all seemed healthy and happy, and it was clear that they are well-cared for by the dedicated zoo staff. In addition to the cherry blossoms and the zoo, High Park also boasts numerous other attractions, including walking trails, gardens, and playgrounds. The park is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and connect with nature. Overall, my experience at High Park was wonderful. The combination of the beautiful cherry blossoms and the exciting zoo animals made for a truly memorable visit. Whether you're a nature lover or just looking for a fun day out with the family, I would highly recommend a trip to this lovely Toronto gem.

August 2023 5* Visited the place with family on weekend. PARKING IS NOT ALLOWED ON WEEKEND AND YOU WILL NEED TO PARK ON ROAD SIDE NEAR BLOOR STREET. The place is very nice for kids as there are so many activities to do. You can also take vehicle ride ($5 per person). There is zoo, splash pad, play areas and picnic area. Also there is big lake inside the park but no beach. It is good to just sit and relax. Toilets are cleaned and well maintained. There are few restaurants inside the park so you will not find many options. You can spend quality time with you family and can enjoy different activities.

High Park never ceases to amaze me. Lots of options for easy to moderate walks depending on your ability and will. Greatly maintained gardens and quaint little nooks make it such a cute place to visit. It feels both huge and intimate at the same time. They also have lots of wildlife and birds for biedwatching. And the zoo is always a hit with the kiddos.

There is a small zoo with Llama, Capybara, Highland Cattle, Emu, Bison, Yak, Peacock and few others. The (Jamie Bell) Castle playground is a fun place for kids with swings, slides, monkey bars and stuff. The Grenadier pond is huge and has a few fishing areas. The hill nearby has a nice view. There is a giant maple leaf made out of flowers. There are many picnic tables and park benches all over the park. There are a lot of shades as well to bring your blankets and relax. The parking is free. It is easy to find spots any time on a weekday. But it can get busy on weekends, so you have to be there early. There are a few spots near the Zoo and the Outdoor pool. But lots of spots are there at the Grenadier Cafe.

This world-class market is among the last bastions of the old-style Toronto fresh marketing experiences. It has always been our pleasure to go extra early to get to the front of the line for their steamy hot peameal bacon on a Kaiser sandwiches on a Saturday morning, with choices ranging from with eggplant being among several alternatives. Otherwise, choose from a wide array of fruits, herbs and vegetables, fresh and dried flower selection to fresh butchers vying for your attention; from bakeries to fromageries, fresh fish and seafoods, to a warm wool sweater or ready-made lunch, ranging from Korean to Italian to French creamery....you name it, it's very likely here... among more. See you there! πŸ™‹

I haven't visited High Park since pre-covid. I missed this place. You could spend the whole day here. During the week you can enjoy free parking inside the park and less busier compared to the weekend. One of the best places in Toronto for a picnic, walks, relaxing, and the many things the park offers. Like a mini zoo, playgrounds, sports fields, and a dog park.

I would rank High Park as the most beautiful city park. I am so surprised by such beautiful views in my eyes. I regret that I did not come here earlier. I thought this park is beautiful only when Sakura blossom. Today I know I am wrong. I hope each city can have a park like this. People living nearby are lucky.

Awesome place for off leash doggies, bringing children, a quiet stroll or even running. There are some porta potties in different places and the zoo has some animals roaming around too. Some ponds with ducks too (you can't swim, these are waters collected from the streets of the city). Some routes are accessible.

We went to High Park on Sunday, and I expected to see lots of people there. However, it was very quite (probably due to the rain). We loved the Zoo and the playground. Although the Zoo is not very big, it is maintained well. Restrooms are open for public, lots of picnic area. The only problem was finding the parking. We parked outside the High Park within 5 min walk.

Went to see cherry blossom. Parking lot was closed as expected. Parked across the street. Very busy as expected. Trees weren't fully bloomed which was unexpected. Still had a good time. But a good portion of the park is under construction. Water overflowing on the pathway. Not maintained well at all. You have to walk a lot to see the trees as they are planted far apart from each other. Washrooms were decent but lacked sanitation. Water fountain was dirty. Definitely needs some maintenance so public can enjoy.

If you are a nature lover, this park is a must visit. There are so many activities to do here. Swimming pool, tennis court, skating rink, childrens play areas, baseball court, soccer court, cafes, and so many trails to walk around. Paved roads as well as pebbles pathways. There is also a trackless train which gives a full trip of the park including the large pond area. Enjoy the ride around the park. Take a book and enjoy reading under the trees, enjoy trail walking, grab a picnic basket and just enjoy the beauty. The large maple leaf garden is another famous spot to look at.

really just a lovely space to spend a day, with lots to see and places to be. the subway goes straight to it, and the zoo is just a short walk away. go on weekends, from what I heard the llamas are open that day. visit the tree carving near the cherry trees and the maple-shaped garden near the lake. if you’re hungry there’s even a small cafe with honestly great value pesto salad on sale. you can get burgers, sandwiches and other snacks there too (ice cream.). end the day with (trying) to catch the sunset by the grenedier lake, with a bunch of Canadian geese and ducks, or walk along the shores to catch bluegill staring you down.

One of the most notable as well as beautiful parks in the G.T.A. Extremely popular for both residents of Toronto as well as visitors for good reason. Great for walking, hiking, biking and more. The combination of both manicured gardens with natural forested areas is breathtaking. I love how Native culture has been recently incorporated. Great job Toronto!! Only downside is lack of parking, especially on the weekends. Small price to pay for conservation of the natural beauty of the area.

Was here last week for a nice walk with the family and we were so happy we went. The leaves were still changing colours so it was beautiful but that meant the park was packed with people wanting to take pictures (clearly we weren’t the only ones lol) This park is huge so there are plenty of places to sit or have a picnic (you can find benches and tables throughout the park) We loved that there was so much wildlife, from adorable chipmunks that run around in the forests everywhere (literally never seen so many before) to blue jays, which I find rare to come across in the city. There is also a nice lake for those who want to sit by the water. Definitely the best park in Toronto. The only issue is trying to get in or out of the park during peak hours (which happened to us) so plan ahead and avoid high traffic times. It literally took us almost 20 minutes to try and get out of the park.

If you have kids or just love the out doors you will understand why I love this place. From its large play structures for kids to play or just strolling over to look at the animals there is lots to do here and it's all free, yes free. For the adults you can relax in one of the many green spaces, take a stroll and explore the place. There is also space for picnics or having a good time with company.

I call it Toronto's Central Park. Endless opportunities for beautiful photos. Great for a nice picnic. A good mix of both open and shaded areas. My favourite spot is near the pond. Its just great to be able to have a 'nature getaway' without actually leaving the city.

So many things to do and adventures to be had. The kids love going on hikes where we end up wherever we want and just enjoy whatever we come across along the way. The "tunnels", which are a bunch of shrubs that have grown into an interconnected, canopy-like structure that kids can crawl, walk, and play hide n' go seek in, are super fun!

The most beautiful, most iconic park in Toronto. There are things to do during all of the four seasons: The cherry blossoms during spring, the colorful leaves during fall, the pool during summer, and the skating rink during winter. Plus countless other things that happen year round.

High Park is the best park in the area, as it is safe and clean. Lots of parking and walking. Good for the whole family. Flowers are usually lovely in the spring. Wish they had more park benches. Close to everything.

(You can YouTube "Mutual dance video" and it'll pop up if you're interested.) The park is huge so there are a lot of places to walk and go to. The only thing is due to covid most of the bathrooms are closed so be sure to go beforehand!

High Park is very similar to New York's Central Park to have that much green space in the downtown area. In the spring, many people come to see the cherry blossoms and in the autumn the changing colors of the leaves. This park has pretty good variety of everything, tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, children's playground, off leash dog park, a pond and even a zoo. And the best part... It's all free. However due to the pandemic, traffic is no longer allowed through the park, which is great cause it allows for physical distancing where you can walk on paths, sidewalks or roads. But keep an eye out for cyclists and the occasional car/truck from city workers.

  • 1/5 Soraya G. 3 years ago on Google
Disappointed that the entrance to the park was blocked off and you couldn't see that until you drove right up, which cause a backup of cars and confusion in an already busy area. Also, I researched online before going with intentions of going to the small zoo. It showed it was open. When we got there it was closed. Needless to say I was not impressed....It is however a beautiful park but those things really soured our visit.

Great selection of everything and everything that is fresh. If you go just before they close, especially on a Saturday (currently It is not open on Sunday or Mondays because of COVID 19. Yes, as of March 18th 2020 they were going to extend the hours and open 7 days a week because the market is a major tourist destination) you can pick up majorly discounted deals. I love going to Mike's fish on the main floor towards the South of the building because they discount almost everything last minute, have sushi and an oyster bar too. The cheese shops are amazing. The selection is endless and if they don't have it they will order it for you. I also adore Whitehouse meats. They have an incredibly friendly staff where you can buy Tomahawk steaks, fois gras, rabbit, ostrich and tons if other hard to find wild game and they will portion it and vacuum seal it for you. Mustachio's in the basement has the finest veal sandwiches in town! Yes, even better than San Fransisco's and California's. Plus the owner is super kind.

The only downside of this place is its tight quarters and heavy pedestrian traffic. Also some items are very overpriced compared to farmers markets, so go here for the experience or if you dont have a car. There are still the occasional deals to be found. During the pandemic, there's a large tent-like structure used for the Farmers Market. It's warm enough, a broad selection of seasonal produce, meats, cheeses, and other food products. Prices seem fair for what you get. I liked it, even though it's a long trek from home via TTC.

The Market!! A Toronto tradition. Anytime I was in that area, working on the U/G electric system breakfast on a bun (peameal, egg and cheese on a soft bun)with a coffee was the norm! Go in the main doors, off Front St and to your right, not sure ask someone where Breaky on a Bun is and they'll point you in the right direction. Can't remember names of places but meat poultry and the seafood, all fresh with some frozen, if ya want that. So excellent!! πŸ‘πŸΌ

A great place for jogging, biking, dog walks, romantic walks, picnic or just alone time to enjoy the nature. What can I say more. It's one of my favorite places to go walking with my dogs. In the past few years, on weekends they close it off to cars so it gives you plenty of space to walk and adds to the appeal. Like it is large enough that you can escape the city even though you're still downtown.

  • 5/5 Jennifer D. 2 years ago on Google
High Park never disappoints! A brisk fall walk through the main entrance, down along the water, back up through the waterfall path (empty now, for winter) completed with a meditative walk in the Labyrinth, pure bliss! Nature in the city, an escape from the hustle and bustle. A beautiful place to ground and connect ❀

Its a great park to visit. Crowded but you will enjoy. There is a train who runs into the park, $5 will cost per hour. Now its cherry blossoms and you can find it in Cherry Hills one of the spot in high park. Good for taking pictures. Worst part is to find a parking spot, needs to struggle specially in weekends.

Love it at high park; there are so many things to see. Great area for off leash walking your dog that is not disturbing to other visitors. There is a petting zoo area (questionable choices TO), a garden, the dog park, a kids area and more! The kids area is by far one of the coolest parts of the park, it looks like a giant castle!

Great family friendly trails, activities and picnicking all year round. We’ve crisscrossed every length of this gem of a park, and somehow are still surprised when we revisit. Skating on the pond in winter is probably the most exciting thing one can do, and one must say hello to our resident swans. Go walk around or meet up with friends here, and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

It's one of the most famous parks in Toronto. You can find the famous garden with a Maple Leaf Canadian shape. There are washrooms but not so near it one of others. I recommend plan the visitation if you go with kids because you can walk a lot. There is a good kids playground in the North of the park, near the boundary located next subway station. It's a good park to contemplation. If you like trails there are many of them. Oh I recommend bring with you repellent and water bottle.

High Park is undoubtedly one of the best Parks in the heart of Toronto. No matter the season, if you want to enjoy the cherry blossoms in spring or the fall foliage in autumn it's the best escape into nature. You can bike, skate, run, and walk around the park. It has amazing maple tree trails with oak meadows. You can spot several kinds of Floras and Faunas, migratory birds, beavers, coyotes etc. The dog unleash trail is amazing and a heaven for your dogs . The waterbody near the garden is a fantastic spot to enjoy with friends and family. It has picnic tables and benches to relax. You won't realize you are in Toronto if you visit high park. There's a paid train ride within high park that's a fun ride if you do not want to walk. Highly recommend this park.

Cherry blossoms still in full bloom. Although not a sunny day today it was quite pleasant to walk around since there were not a lot of people. Also nice to see many different birds up close! Parking not available inside the park during Cherry blossom season. Extra portable toilets available.

Very nice park and surrounding area. Quite surprised at how lush and diverse the forest is considering it's in downtown Toronto. The free zoo was entertaining and the gardens were beautiful. Be advised... it is quite hilly. Definitely worth it, just make sure you're ready for it. 100% recommend it. It has a Stanley Park (Vancouver) vibe.

  • 5/5 Anjitha T R. 11 months ago on Google
A beauty this place is. I'd suggest if you can, visit on weekdays. Now that half of the cherry blossoms have bloomed there'll be a huge crowd on weekends. For people with kids, visit the children's park as well. It has tiny forts build. Peak hours usually starts from 5pm on weekdays.

Awesome park to walk with family. Went at the beginning of july there. Parking is not too easy to spot. 3$/hour. There are plenty of chippies and squirrels to feed with peanuts. We saw a very cute, non-poisonous snake there and ate a lot of black raspberries and some mulberry fruits! Many nice blooming flowers. There is also a good, kid-friendly playground with slides fountains, etc.

really just a lovely space to spend a day, with lots to see and places to be. the subway goes straight to it, and the zoo is just a short walk away. go on weekends, from what I heard the llamas are open that day. visit the tree carving near the cherry trees and the maple-shaped garden near the lake. if you’re hungry there’s even a small cafe with honestly great value pesto salad on sale. you can get burgers, sandwiches and other snacks there too (ice cream.). end the day with (trying) to catch the sunset by the grenedier lake, with a bunch of Canadian geese and ducks, or walk along the shores to catch bluegill staring you down. - broke college kid

Beautiful park with lots of greenery, beach, play area for kids and a little β€œzoo” with some kid-friendly animals. There are maps to guide you which route to take to get where, and some ice cream and hot dog stands for snacks. Parking is difficult. You will have to park somewhere else and walk down but not too bad. There are parking spots available in walking distances.

High Park is an absolute gem in the heart of the city. I recently visited and was thoroughly impressed by its natural beauty and recreational offerings. The lush greenery, picturesque ponds, and meticulously maintained gardens make it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers alike. What sets High Park apart is its diversity of activities. From peaceful walks along the serene trails to picnics by the cherry blossoms in spring, there's something for everyone. The Jamie Bell Adventure Playground is a hit with kids, while the Grenadier CafΓ© offers a delightful spot for a coffee break or a meal with a view. The highlight of my visit was the Hillside Gardens, where I was treated to breathtaking views of the city skyline. The park's commitment to preserving its natural habitat and wildlife is commendable. Whether you're seeking relaxation, exercise, or a family outing, High Park delivers on all fronts. It's a true urban oasis that provides a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I can't wait to return and explore more of its hidden treasures. High Park is a must-visit destination for Torontonians and tourists alike.

High Park Toronto is a gem in the heart of the city, offering a delightful blend of trails, serene lakes, and beautifully manicured gardens. It's the perfect urban escape for an evening walk, surrounded by lush green trees that create an oasis of calm. The park exudes good vibes, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Plus, its convenience, located just 900 meters from Bloor Go station, adds to its accessibility, making it a must-visit destination for nature and tranquility seekers.

I visited High Park in early Nov during the autumn season, and it surprised me with its tranquil beauty. 🍁 The park looked stunning with colourful fall foliage in its full glory. It felt like nature was at the peak of its beauty, displaying an array of vibrant colours. πŸ‚πŸƒ This natural haven has a fascinating history as well. It is believed to have been an area where Indigenous peoples had a presence long before European settlers arrived. This park was designed by the same landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted who designed the Central Park in New York City. The Grenadier Cafe within the park only added to the charm. Enjoying a cup of coffee and a delicious slice of apple pie in this serene setting was a delightful experience. The cafe's unique feature, an indoor tree, added to its cozy atmosphere. β˜•πŸ₯§πŸŒ³ In High Park, there is also an 18th-century cottage known as Colborne Lodge 🏑, which offers visitors a glimpse into life during that era. It was the home of its former owner John George Howard, and his wife Jemima who donated it to the city of Toronto in 1873 on the condition that no alcohol should ever be served within the park's grounds. This condition has remained a unique aspect of High Park's history, contributing to its character as a family-friendly and alcohol-free park. Colborne Lodge is now a preserved heritage site πŸ›οΈ. For visitors, a heads-up: parking inside the park isn't allowed on weekends, so it's wise to plan your visit accordingly. πŸš—πŸš«

Didn't get to spend as much time here as I would have liked because it was towards the end of my trip, but from what I experienced, it was a very beautiful, spacious park with lots of walking paths, dog friendly "off the leash" areas, picnic areas, and even a restaurant on site. Would defintely return to see more of it, especially during cooler weather months like it was when I went.
