This is the most relaxing spa in Toronto. The amenities and services are so refreshing and unique and every single staff member is kind and warm and makes the experience very smooth and enjoyable. I loved the water therapies, it was a perfect way to end my sleep relaxation massage. Slept like a baby after. Another bonus is you receive a free 3-course meal on your bday month which normally costs around $60 with tax and tip. I love Elmwood Spa! Will be back time and time again.

Love this spa! Great place to celebrate a birthday or just to escape for a few hours. Excellent massages and treatments. Staff is always attentive and willing to work out best itinerary or accommodate a request. Make sure you make time for a delicious lunch on the Terrace Restaurant.

First time coming here and this place was fantastic! I had booked over the phone and the reps were extremely friendly and accommodating in scheduling my birthday lunch, water therapies and Swedish massage. At first I thought having lunch and a whole spa day by myself would be awkward but there were always plenty of others like myself and the staff was very friendly in directing you where you need to go and wishing the people that were celebrating their birthdays. The birthday lunch was absolutely spectacular and the staff was extremely friendly. For the dessert the server accidentally brought out the wrong dessert but when I advised this wasn’t what I ordered he quickly apologized and told me he would bring out the correct one and I could keep the other one he had brought out as well. Water therapy facilities were all very clean and great as well. Massage was also spectacular. Checkout experience was also very quick and easy even though I had lost my coat check ticket. The staff were friendly and were able to quickly help me. I can’t recommend this place enough especially for your birthday. I will definitely be coming back!

My initial interaction with Elmwood Spa was shaky when I was trying to book during the time they were having technical issues with their phone system. However, eventually I was able to get through and book. I am very happy that I did as I had a wonderful time! It was my first time there and booked the birthday bliss spa package. Perhaps it's because I went on a Thursday but I did not feel it was crowded, I was able to enjoy the water therapies alone and all protocols were followed. Alba and Monica did a great job on the body scrub/massage and mini facial, respectively. Food was good; not a huge selection but it was fine for lunch. Customer service was good but it would have been nice if I was told about complimentary coat check upon check-in (told by staff after I stuffed my coat in the small locker). 2nd floor customer service provided me with two lockers since the lockers were small and couldn't hold everything I had. Overall, it was a great experience and relaxing time. It is pricey but I would return again for a special occasion.

First time back after COVID-19. Parked at atrium on bay. Check-in was quick. Still have to wear masks while walking around. The massage was okay. It was our birthday month so we got free lunch. Without it the lunch would have been $48. The food was okay, portion was on the smaller side for the fish. Water therapies are okay. Good option for staying in Toronto.

The four of us came in on Saturday to have a full spa day. 1. Carol in reservation is simply amazing. She helped us navigate group booking like a champ. Our day wouldn’t have been as seamless if it hadn’t been for her. 2. 2 of us had facials and I really like their products. Knowledgeable staff. 3. The Himalayan stone scrub was underwhelming. 4. The water therapy area is great for lounging. Be sure to spend time in the eucalyptus sauna. 5. The low light was the restaurant. We waited a while for our table, despite the reservation. The wait staff seems like they didn’t care for us there (unlike the spa staff). Took forever to get service, get water for the table. Food was basic. For a $50 prix fixe it was not worth it. Overall 4 star for the full day, for the quality of service and facilities.

Absolutely amazing! It was very relaxing and indulgent. The food was delicious. All service providers were very kind and provided more than satisfactory services and recommendations for continued care/maintenance. Best spa experience I've had and will definitely return. ✨

I’ve been to Spas all over the world and the Elmwood Spa by far is the worse Spa I’ve ever visited. As much as I didn’t want to admit, I have to agree with some of the other reviews when they mentioned minorities are treated differently. The staff’s level of professionalism and expertise was abysmal, and the massage was far from what I expected. The staff lacked professionalism and seemed disinterested in providing a positive experience. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was cold. They made me feel like I didn’t belong there. I didn’t get a tour of the facilities. I was left having to find my way around the Spa on my own. I eventually found my way to the locker room and because I’ve been to a countless number of Spa’s I was familiar with their locker system. Throughout my visit, I was stopped several times by random employees who wanted to confirm that I had a Spa service. None willing to assist with helping me find my way, they only wanted to know if I was supposed to be there. I didn’t see them do that to anyone else during my visit. It’s disappointing when a place meant for relaxation and rejuvenation fails to provide a warm and inviting environment. I believe a Spa should make every guest feel valued and comfortable, but this experience fell short in that regard. The massage, in particular, was subpar, leaving me feeling more stressed than when I arrived. I had a male therapist, who picked me up from the waiting area 7 minutes late, failed to introduce himself, talked the entire massage, and finished early turning my 50 minute service into 34 minutes. When I checked out, I mentioned it to the Spa Concierge, but all she did was give me a blank stare. Nothing was done or said. Although I will never visit this Spa again, I hope they work on creating a more welcoming atmosphere for future customers.

My second time at Elmwood Spa was enjoyable and well-spent. Towels were a little rough for the price we paid. I think if a client wants to order a juice or coffee during their spa day it really should not be charged. Especially if they’ve spent $500+ on a spa package. Facilities and interiors are a little outdated, but I kind of liked that! Still has character. Staff + Service are GREAT. Seriously everyone is smiling and happy to help. Great job. Terrace restaurant is 100000/10. Food and Service are wonderful. I would recommend and will return!

Went for the birthday month special with my mom and we had the most pleasant time. From the pools + steam room to our massages and our 3 course meal. The meal is complimentary during your birthday month from Monday to Thursday when you purchase a spa service. The service was exceptional & everyone was very welcoming and lovely. 10/10 would recommend to others to try out :)

A relaxation gem in the heart of Toronto! - I’ve been here a few times and tried a number of services: massages, body scrub, facial, pedicure, restaurant, water therapies and most recently hair services, all of which has been wonderful! The three course lunch is always delicious as are the drinks including their mango mimosas and wine selection. Tea is complimentary and so refreshing after a deep tissue massage or a hot stone massage or even their Swedish massage. Staff are knowledgeable with the products and services. Some of the staff that have made my visits exceptional: Sara Piers - line manager at the contact centre- she has been exceptionally helpful with group bookings for my birthday, and for all of my own bookings. Nkosi RMT - highly skilled massage therapist whose deep tissue massages are what keep me coming back! Luca - Hair stylist - I saw Luca recently for a hair cut and scalp treatment, my first at Elmwood and as with the other services it did not disappoint. Luca is highly skilled at what he does, and so knowledgeable about the products and hair care in general. Thanks Elmwood Spa for excellent services, knowledgeable staff, fair pricing and creating an atmosphere of relaxation from the time you walk in the door!

This spa feels very factory paced and I won’t be going back. The RMT I had was so light handed and rushed. 50 min massage turns into 35min because they wait outside the door while you unrobe and set up for so long. She focused on long rubbing strokes on my legs after I asked her to focus on my head and ankle inflammation. Worse massage I’ve ever had honestly. The pedicure I got was super fast and the employee admitted to me it’s like a factory there. It’s all about production! A couple toe nails could’ve used more polish on the sides as well. I thought the water therapy was nice but you better love lemon because you’ll be inhaling it left right and centre. I had to leave the steam room because the lemon was so strong. The construction noises weren’t pleasant either if you want quietness this is not the spa. Also, plenty little things are not maintained or restored such as the sink drain over flow ring etc For almost $700 for two I’d never go back

All staff at Elmwood Spa were extremely polite, helpful and caring. They made me feel very welcomed and special. The facilities were great and very clean. Plenty of clean towels everywhere, great quality shampoo, body wash, conditioner, moisturizer etc. The services were absolutely incredible. The only thing I’m not satisfied with is the pedicure and manicure. My cuticle was barely pushed back or trimmed. The nail polish looked terrible after drying. The second layer didn’t cover the nails as much as the first layer and you can see the corners not covered properly. I would not get my nails done there again even thought the staff was a very caring person. My daughter also got pedicure and manicure st the same time and the experience was the same. Great service but the quality of mani/pedi was not satisfactory.

Elmwood spa is a hidden gem. It provides you a wonderful opportunity to get some rest and relaxation in while being in the city. I found that the service was wonderful. When booking, Carol took the time to tell me which services was offered and scheduled me in to accommodate timing that would work for me. Another plus is that if it is your birthday, you relieve a complimentary lunch! Our server during lunch was really kind. When we didn't like how our dish turned out, Jeremy made sure to ask and send a new one for us.

I absolutely enjoyed my day at the Elmwood. It's a gorgeous spa, with lots of services - I went for a massage, which includes the steam room, jacuzzi and pool. In addition, if it's your birthday, you get a free lunch (that's a $50 value), and the food was delicious. Everyone there was very helpful & friendly, and the place is very clean. I really love my massage with Weng, she had a terrific style (especially since I prefer a hard deep tissue massage) - she didn't disappoint!

Took my mom to the spa for her birthday… and it was the perfect most relaxing retreat just like the package we booked ! Special thanks to the terrace restaurant for our fabulous lunch and service, as well as Erica for the manicure pedicure service with paraffin. Feeling rejuvenated 😌 Would come back again on the regular and maybe a blow out because my moms hair looks stunning

We booked the couples retreat with the massage, facial and water treatment. It included lunch at the terrace restaurant. We started with the water treatments. We were greeted at the door and provided with an itinerary that had details about locations and times, as well as service providers for our treatments. We were escorted to the change rooms and provided slippers and robes. The change room for women was phenomenal- hot tub, modern decor. Lots of change spaces, lockers, steam room and sauna. Drink area. The only thing they didn’t have was hair brushes or combs, otherwise pretty much everything you could imagine was provided. dispensers carried the Moroccan oil brand of shampoo and conditioner which is top tier stuff. The water treatments were meh. They had a nice lounge area to relax and wait, you are able to order snacks and drinks in the seating area. However the pool and hot tub reminded me of when you go to hotels or YMCA pools as far as decor and ambiance. I’ve been to Swedish treatment houses before and found their decorum was much more elegant compared to the elm wood which was disappointing. They also could do with more hot tubs as it gets quite cozy and would’ve been nice to enjoy the experience a bit more intimately. The massages were held in the couples therapy room which was nice enough. I had Tony who did an amazing job at getting the knots out of my problem areas, we had the Swedish massage treatments. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his massage as well. Afterwards we had lunch on the terrace and it was amazing. We did the three course meal which lets you pick your options. They provided homemade bread that was fresh baked. It was plenty of food and absolutely delicious. Also I highly recommend the elm wood mimosa ! So tasty and refreshing. You dine in your robes which is a really neat experience! Afterwards we sat at the bar tasting more mimosas as we waited for our facials. The facials were so nice. Quiet dim room with a lovely aesthetics professional who explained the skin care products and recommended routines. She had such a soothing voice, I actually fell asleep during. My skin felt so soothed and looked smooth after the treatment. Well worth it. They also give a relaxation massage to scalp and feet. Afterwards we showered, changed and headed out. We paid at the end, which was a nice touch. Didn’t have to have anything on us and it was a great way to experience a phone free day. I really enjoyed my experience here. Next time I would pick different treatment options and courses but if you’ve never been I highly recommend trying. Just note it is very pricey. Lunch is free on your birthday!

I received a gift certificate from my daughter because my cousin got one and she wanted us to experience it together. It was an absolute relaxing, beautiful experience. Staff were so professional and very kind and informative. I especially enjoyed my conversation with Brooklyn at the bar, as my cousin was receiving a facial. I wasn't, so I decided to check out the bar. Such a beautiful girl, that made suggestions and she was dead on with her suggestions. Lunch was 10/10... Thx Brooklyn... trifle was lovely. Jack, the massage was epic it had me nodding off... 10/10. A beautiful, comfortable, relaxing establishment. Good job Elmwood. I'll be back. A must try experience.🌹

The experience was amazing and the sfaff were very accomodating to your needs. Unlimited free towels, robes, slippers and refreshments. The change room was beautiful as it comes with a vanity mirror everything you need to get ready. They offer a great package deals for couples which comes with water activities like indoor swimming pool , hot tub jaccuzzi and steam room, morethan 1 hour of sweddish massage with herbs and a delicious 3 course dinner with wine in an elegant bangkok garden restaurant. The gratuity is already included in the package. Price is reasonable for almost a 4 hrs and 30 min activity. You'll definitely feel refresh and youll forget that you are living in the city in a cold winter weather. It is a good place to get away from a busy life.

Elmwood is a nice spa conveniently downtown. Very clean and the housekeeping staff were always cleaning, replacing towels, robes water and tea. They were pleasant and very professional. Kudos to the housekeeping staff!! The check-in/payment process was smooth and the staff were very welcoming on each floor of the spa. I’d ask management to survey their guests about the fact that they now allow the noise level in the water therapy area to NOT be at a whisper level on Fri, Sat & Sun. I personally didn’t like this change in operation. There is a quiet room available but the seating in that room is not as comfy as the water therapy area and it is a very small room. Management should make it a more zen, modern and comfy or have the water therapy area kept to a whisper volume. I get that you can’t please everyone and it was family day weekend/valentines celebs that added to the volume of ppl and noise. There is quite a bit of competition spa-wise in Toronto and GTA now. Elmwood needs to update the water therapy area. It’s been the same for over 15 yrs. It’s time for an update. The hot tub in the women’s change room is always a treat but again there are several people entering and leaving, blowdryers being used, and several noises that go on..so it can also be noisy. The steam room in the women’s change room was out of service. Though the steam room in the water therapy area was nice and clean. I loved my RMT Yue W. She was amazing. Usually I find that spa massages can be light and though I booked a Swedish massage, Yue listened so well to what I asked for and did an excellent job in meeting those requests. 5 stars to Yue!! ⭐️ Overall, I enjoyed my experience.

Had a great experience at elmwood spa! It was my first time and everyone greeted me warmly and was very helpful in helping me navigate the place. The complimentary lunch was delicious and the servers were attentive. The spa was clean and the environment relaxing. I really enjoyed the scent of my sugar kiss scrub and the massage was relaxing. Would highly recommend anyone to visit if they r in the area!

Went to Elmwood Spa for a couple’s massage, water therapies, and lunch at their restaurant. The experience from start to finish was wonderful. Such friendly staff and luxurious amenities. The lunch was reasonable, relaxing, and delicious! The servers Lenny and Jeremy are awesome (personable and attentive).

I got the Exotic Couples package at Elmwood Spa. Their water therapy was pretty underwhelming, with only a pool, steam room and a whirl pool, but the massage was great and the dinner at Bangkok garden was amazing as well.

My friends and I had a fantastic day at Elmwood. My massage therapist, Ronald was outstanding. We relaxed in the water therapies and had a delicious 3 course lunch. We didn’t want to leave. The Elmwood Spa truly is a hidden gem in the city. I can’t wait to come back!

Definitely a relaxing experience. I was running late but they accommodated me by quickly setting me up to do the forms (do these in advance to save time!) and handed me a ready-to-go bag with robe and slippers to save me from going to the change room. They even handed me a warm towel to greet me and were incredibly friendly at the front. I had a wonderful massage with Frank, he was very professional and made sure to keep checking that the pressure was ok, etc. He also used hot towels to relax me more which I appreciated. Thank you for the perfect unwind, I needed the experience! Next time I’ll remember my bathing suit to enjoy the pool and sauna.

The Elmwood Toronto spa experience certainly exceeded my expectations. I was visiting, and the weather turned nasty- a spa day seemed like a good idea- at EW, it turned out to be an GREAT idea! I was so comfortable there! The staff was professional and kind. The facilities were top notch and I even got a disposable bathing suit. Interesting- and fine for the day! The check in was seamless and low stress and they even helped me figure out gratuities since I wasn’t traveling with Canadian cash. Really a lovely day. I wish I could return! Thanks for a great day- I should have stayed for lunch!

I went there for my birthday and it was a good and bad experience. Good things first lunch was really nice though they could use some more vegetarian options, massage was relaxing and water therapy was nice too. They maintain water therapy as a no whisper zone but they could not maintain peace and there were loud noises and chitchatting by other people. Even after I asked the concierge to maintain peace she could not bother much. Pedicure was nice but manicure looks like done by an amateur person. When contacted they can be rude sometimes and not very clear about the packages and options so that the customer has to pay more. I’ve had better experience than this one.

I went for the Spa Refreser, massage (50 minutes, mini facial (20 minutes) and water treatments. Great spa, great service from the staff. Parking available on the street which is usually difficult to get or park easily underground. I have been to a number of spas and the Elmwood is in the top ones I have visited.

Love Elmwood spa for the classic, elegant lold school charm. It is also a relaxing and perfect little escape. They have wonderful massage therapists and their waters & steam room are lovely. Only wish they’d carry our locally produced & delicious kombucha at their juice bar ;)

Everything about this spa was exceptional. It was easy to make changes to my reservation. My partner and I came to celebrate an anniversary. We greatly enjoyed our lunch and time in the water. This is my first visit back in years, and I am happy I did. I invited a friend to celebrate our birthdays .. and we booked the birthday special that included - 50min water therapy, 50min massage and a complimentary 3 course lunch. (Special avail M-Th) We had a fantastic and relaxing day from beginning-to-end. I would highly ... highly recommend Elmwood spa especially dining at the Terrance. You will not be disappointed.

I went on a weekday and it wasn’t too crowded which is great! The spa was super clean, staff was helpful and welcoming, and they give you an itinerary at check in so you know what’s happening! I got the couples retreat package and it was well worth it. It included water therapy, 50 minute Swedish massage, and a 3 course dinner. The water therapy floor was really relaxing and actually quite cozy. I read previous reviews on complaints of it being small, but you’re downtown, spacing is limited, and I think for what it is it’s fantastic! The jacuzzi was super comfortable and my partner and I almost fell asleep. There are lounge chairs, steam room with beautiful tiles, and they offer a snack and beverage service! My masseuse was very professional and communicative if I needed any less pressure or more. I really liked it when they put the hot towel on you too, super nice touch. Overall, it’s a great spa getaway in terms of if you live in the city and can’t go far! Wonderful experience and had awesome rest and relaxation! Thanks Elmwood!

This is by far the best massage I have ever had in my entire life. I took my wife for her birthday and she said the exact same thing. The RMT’s were taking knots out of my back I didn’t even know we’re possible let alone existed. The technique was flawless and the treatment overall with the hot towels and all was absolutely amazing. I was so calm And relaxed and in a state of peace the entire time. I will definitely be going back! 5 stars for sure, everyone should try it out!

My boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday here yesterday. It was a wonderful experience for us. I would say he was satisfied with overall service. Since this is our first time visiting the spa, they made sure that we know how to maximize our spa experience. The staff are very approachable. Also, kudos to the management for making the facilities clean. We can’t get enough of everything. We are beyond ecstatic with our stay. Will definitely visit again. Lastly, will spread the good word to my friends. For sure my friends wouldn't get disappoint with this place.

Spent a relaxing afternoon with my sisters. Started off with water therapies, hot tub, steam room and pool. Followed by a 50 min. Swedish massage. My RMT was very thorough and applied the perfect amount of pressure. Afterwards, I had a Radiance Foundation facial. My facialist was gentle and during the procedure I felt so relaxed. My skin felt so soft and rejuvenated. We ended the afternoon, with a late 3 course lunch. I ordered the mussels, steak and frites and sticky toffee pudding. Our meal was delicious and the service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend the Elmwood Spa to family and friends. I can’t wait to come back.

My first time at Elmwood was for my sister’s bachelorette event. We had time for water therapies, the steam room and jacuzzi. I then had a massage and a facial and a lunch included in my package. It felt like we were on a very strict timed Schedule. Other than that everything went smoothly! I enjoyed being pampered, the services were all exceptional and I will definitely be visiting again.

I had a fabulous experience here with my friend for a girls day out. We each got a few tissue massage and then spent time in the water /spa facilities. I have to say, it was probably the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever had (and I’ve had quite a few). I have recurring upper back and shoulder pain, and it truly felt like the man who massages me really got into those muscles! The pools were lovely and the steam room extremely powerful (truly felt all the pores opening). I highly recommend Elmwood Spa if you’re looking to relax, rejuvenate get a good massage. Also the location is super convenient.

Great customer service from staff. Booked a Vitamin C facial and Swedish massage to celebrate my birthday. The hydrotherapy was complimentary with the package, it was great, loved the steam room particularly! Massage was nice and relaxing but did feel a bit rushed, masseuse could’ve focused on problem areas I had mentioned prior to massage more. (Overall 3.5/5) Vitamin C facial was nice but also felt a bit rushed and aesthetician was rough. It felt like aesthetician was trying to sell the products she was using, rather than talking about how I can take care of my skin. It would’ve helped if she explained each step if the facial (Overall 2/5) I received a complimentary lunch (during your birthday month) which was nice. Food was great! (5/5) It was a great first time experience - I may just do a massage only if I visit next time.

I received a gift certificate for the Elmwood Spa. I was very impressed by the professionalism of all staff I interacted with, from Ekaterina at the entrance (patient, nice and authentic) to all of you who have guided me to the second and third floor. You give clients a lot of attention and care. My facial was performed by Monika, who was excellent as well. I was advised on products to purchase but did not feel pressured to buy anything.

Me and my partner who lives in Sweden had an amazing stay, we would definitely go back again. We purchased couple package. Everything was amazing. Big thanks to Sara Pires the line manager as well, gave us complimentary smoothies and those chocolate banana smoothies were bomb! After the Massage, me and my partner felt relieved and refreshed. Everything felt light. Food at the end is so delicious too! Got a 3 course meal together with the package. Love the visit and worth the price.

I always have an incredibly relaxing and enjoyable experience at Elmwood Spa. You can easily book any appointments online. They have an excellent selection of skin care products available for purchase. You are never pressured into buying any products by the staff, however, they do let you know which products they used for your treatment (along with the price), and information on how to use so you can decide to purchase if you like. My favorite treatment at Elmwood Spa is the Enhanced Essential Facial. Lidia is amazing at her job and I will definitely be booking with her again.

Had a great experience at Elmwood Spa! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The facility is very well maintained and makes you feel like you are away from the city. My RMT, Janet, was absolutely amazing and the facial left my skin feeling so soft and hydrated. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely be going back.

I had an amazing girl's day here last week! From start to finish, the staff was so incredibly accommodating and friendly. We started out with lunch at the Terrace restaurant which was incredible - I highly recommend the grilled vegetable napoleon. Water therapies was very relaxing, I had a great massage (shout out to their RMT Joe - thank you!), and we finished off the day with a trip to their in-house spa retail shop. If you're looking for a complete experience rather than just a quick service, Elmwood Spa is the perfect destination. I'm looking forward to my next trip.

From the moment I walked into the spa, the welcoming, relaxing experience began. The aromatherapy and warm washcloth fir your hands welcomed you in. All the staff was wonderful. Professional and kind. Spa facility very clean. Lunch on the terrace was lovely and tasted very good. Would highly recommend this spa experience. I will definitely be back!

They have a number of packages to really maximize on your experience. We spent the morning relaxing in the pools, getting massages and enjoying a facial. The atmosphere and professional staff ensure you are relaxed and able to get from service to service. It's a great place to go with a group of friends, as a couple or if you just want to treat yourself.

Such an amazing experience. We opted for the Exotic Escape for Two and added 2 pedicures as well. Everything was perfectly timed and went smoothly without delay. Dinner was 10/10 at the Bangkok Garden with the preset menu. The only downfall was during pedicures, one of my boyfriend’s toes began bleeding because it was cute too deep or skin was cute slightly. I only realized when he mentioned it to me after. He didn’t want the technician to feel bad but he said she noticed it as she disinfected it. But unfortunately she did not apologize at the time or acknowledge it. This would have been a 5/5 review had it not been for that indecent.

I was gifted a serenity spa day at the Elmwood in downtown Toronto and loved everything about it. All staff were courteous and friendly and my manicure and pedicure look great. I especially loved the hot stone massage with my pedicure. The 3 course lunch was absolutely delicious and there were many choices on the menu. I was the only fully dressed person in the dining room. Next time I’ll stay in my bathrobe all day!
