Definitely recommend the mocha and your chocolate needs! Got a mocha with oat milk for about $7. It wasn’t in the menu but baristas there were glad to make one. Best mocha I have had in the city as they probably used real chocolate. Also tried their hot chocolate packages to make at home which which I really enjoyed :) Great selection of chocolates as well and nice people working there.

I love this place!!! They have freshly spun gelato which they change flavors of, for instance during the film festival they rolled out the buttered popcorn which was amazing!!! There is also a large open concept, behind glass, kitchen area in which you can watch them making the chocolate earlier in the day. There are countless prepackaged chocolate bars with beautiful fancy design inlaid in them. At the counter they offer fresh made truffles near the gelato area as well as coffee and lattes, and the dining room itself is incredibly pleasant featuring many plants and a cute area to sit inside, as well as a small bench right out front.

Homemade chocolate, made right at their kitchen. About 25 different flavors and cocoa from around the world. I have tried 10 pieces and I could turn the degustation into an atmospheric ceremony thanks to their tasty latte coffee. Unlike me my wife doesn't share my rite, she wanted to try all at once. They played Ukrainian music. The staff is friendly and smiling. Note that they close quite early, at 7pm. A little bit costly, but it's fine, sugar is not healthy.

Great gourmet chocolate house with lots of chocolate based treats in various flavours and styles to choose from. If you love sweets, then you should visit any of their locations soon. They also have coffee to go with the sweets if you can't wait to get home like me. Gelato with seasonal themes And Flavoured Coffee beans ❤️💯😍🎇 It's definitely worth a visit and the price.

I waited years until I could come and finally try their world class connoisseur chocolates 🍫. From single origin chocolates to original flavor, it is a real experience. The vanilla-licorice chocolate is a great example of how they can blend different flavors and yet create a smooth and creamy experience for the taste buds while surprising us. Their chocolates are so smooth and creamy their brand is top* with the best I have ever tried. If you are looking for some chunky experience try out their Old school chocolates that are processed they it was back then when chocolate was becoming a delicacy. Almost cookie like texture where you can feel the beans, the sugar and the milk for their Old school milk chocolate version. I also like the fact that they have variety for all tastes. It is a creative quality chocolate maker (and it comes with a price ) and their craft has the ability to transport us bite after bite. Now that I am in love, when is SOMA coming to Montréal ? *Sharing the top spot for chocolate bars with Chocolatier Joseph by chef Frédéric Joseph in Périgueux, France

Love love this place! Their hot chocolate shot is absolutely delicious! They also serve their ice-cream with a shot of chocolate instead of expresso if you like. It's heavenly. I loved their dark chocolate and vietnamese coffee ice-cream. My new favorite place to go whenever I want to indulge in something sinful.

An excellent outpost for Soma! They are spacious, and offer as much as their Distillery District location. Make sure to enjoy a fresh gelato or sorbet. Or, a coffee or hot chocolate. Highly recommend their Mayan hot chocolate or affogato! Then pick up a bunch of chocolate goodies to stash away at home for later enjoyment. Made locally and in small batches, I try to buy something new to try on each visit. Great for gifts! Their gift boxes during the holidays are EPIC.

Amazing ice cream and gelato! The choclate is a bit overpriced though. Update: I still love the ice cream here, however, I used to like the dark chocolate flavor better. The new one, the one they had last two weeks, is a classic dark chocolate, it used to be frutier, like a fruity coffee.

Great detail in the display, the variety of different chocolates are so great and with amazing flavours out of the normal. We got some Mayan chili chocolate for hot choco. So excited to try.

Maybe not just my taste. Actually, not my whole family's taste which does not happen very often since my kids and my hubby has a sweet tooth. The only fascinating thing is that you can see them make the chocolate through the glass. But the products were disappointing. We chose few random chocolates to give most of it a try and I had the mayan hot chocolate which was spicy. It was just okay. Had better spicy chocolates. Not as creamy as I've expected and the other chocolates were too sweet. Not creamy too. Disappointed given the price range. If I want dessert, I'll go elsewhere.

I ordered the Sicilian pistachio gelato and it was great! -1 star because the consistency/texture could be more thick like a traditional gelato, but the pistachio flavour was 100% there without it being overly sweet—definitely one of the best I’ve tasted. Staff is super friendly as well!

SOMA Chocolatemaker is basically a chocolate wonderland. Their stuff, from the fancy single-origin bars to the crazy-good truffles, is like a flavor party in your mouth. You can tell they're all about quality and cool ingredients. It's like they're turning chocolate into an art form. So, if you're into treating your taste buds, SOMA's the spot.

The ultimate best chocolates I ever had! I'd give a 10 stars if that was an option. The store is super cute and the packaging designs are so pretty I always get birthday gifts for my chocolate lover sisters from here, not to mention the sooo many options that are all sooo good, there is something for everyone here! whether its dark chocolate, milky, fruity, nutty, biscuity, whether its cookies and fudge you are into or marshmallows, they have everything chocolate! everytime I go there I must try something new, and there is seasonal items to lookout for! You must also try their hot chocolate because its THE BEST! The only downside is because Soma chocolates are so irresistible its a challenge not go monster mode and just eat everything you get here all at once, so if self control is an issue I suggest shopping moderately here.

This has been one on my bucket list of hot chocolate places to try. Well, I wasn't disappointed. They do have simple options for the way you'd prefer your hot chocolate - with hot water, milk or non dairy options and with coffee shots. They also have dark chocolate and Mayan chilli chocolate. Other than that the store retails different kinds of chocolates the like. And I loved that they had those options for someone like me that actually doesn't prefer dairy. Tried the hot chocolate with water, which I totally loved! Friends that tagged along tried the regular dairy hot chocolate and the mayan chilli (which is also great, btw for that little pinch of heat on a cold, windy day) Only thing is the drink are just hot and cools down quick... so for those who like their beverages steaming hot, please let them know when you place your order Go check this place out in the distillery district... It's like a small chocolate museum :)

I’ve come in here before and loved the artisan chocolate that I bought some with and for my mom. But my brother came here and got me the THAI COCONUT (tumbled in white and dark chocolate) for a Christmas present and wow! So good and I’ll probably come back to get some more 😬

Phenomenal spot. Tried their hazelnut biscuit/circle thingies and a bar and all were excellent. Great quality of chocolate overall. Bar wasn’t mind blowing. Do note this is very expensive. Even compared to the most expensive spots I tried in New York! So while overpriced and maybe slightly lower quality than top end chocolatiers in France/switzerland it’s still an excellent spot to treat yourself on occasion :)

These candied ginger are absolutely amazing if you like ginger, and I love ginger ! I was very impressed - this is quality stuff and it’s obvious. My curiosity is peaked and I’m going to check out some more of this place…😊

Valentine’s Day experience: Somehow 3 persons before me got a nice smooth experience, calm pleasant service, got their bag and their stuff left with a smile. I too finally got mine, was rushed, Ignored, felt like an inconvenience. I. E. Just take it and go. Well, at that price I am buying chocolates ANd an experience of shopping quality chocolate. Today, I just got the chocolates and a “leave your money, get out but come back. “ experience. Here’s what happened: Fill out a form. Check. Prepackaged cookies. Check. Would you like a Valentine’s Day fancy bag, with red wrapping paper… sure yes. 50c, check. Wait 10 minutes. Call my name. Here’s a tiny box… Um…. Cookies? Bag? No? 5 minutes of silence while left aside to wait. So…I go ask for assistance from owner or manager anxiously trying to manage the traffic (single person overseeing all walk ins - Not good, doesn’t work. Too many people. ) I was, Rushed, brushed off, with no time given to be listened to. So I pick up another set of cookies to help expedite the delay during the investigation and quickly I get regular plain takeout bag. So I return to the Manager? Of course. Are you all settled? Um…. No not really. “Ok ok just give him the bag. Are you ok now? Sorry we’re busy” - wow. ok. Thank you good bye. Took my bag and left. Will I come back? Mmmm… 🤔

WOW! Chocolates were amazing and the hot chocolate was out of this world. Service was impeccable with a great knowledge of the flavours of the truffles. Gelato was definitely homemade and was just delicious. Definitely recommend stopping by here for the experience, atmosphere and food!

Cool seating area on the back overlooking people making chocolate 🍫 almond toffee gelato is to die for 🍨 - only thing, the spoon is not easy to use 🥄

It's a quaint chocolate shop where you can order your chocolate squares and an espresso to enjoy by the window counter. They also serve fresh spun Gelato here.

I would say you for sure need to appreciate dark chocolate similar to how you would go to an expensive coffee place and they expect you to drink black coffee. Sadly my tonge wasn't trained to enjoy the dark chocolate experience

SOMA is our favourite chocolatier. Prices are more than commercial chocolatiers like Lindt for good reason - small batch made, ethically sourced, and they are great employers. Amazing quality chocolate that’s second to none. Favourites include the old school bars, Fiji milk chocolate, Porcelana dark chocolate, and obviously all the truffles. Be prepared to empty your wallet here.

Beautiful shop offering gourmet and unique chocolate. Smooth and delicious milk and dark chocolate options, and a mouthwatering truffle case display where you can make your own box. They also have unconventional offerings like raspberry and mango chili chocolate bars that are a stunning (and completely natural) colour, that you really won't find anywhere else. The place to go for chocolate lovers, a truly special place.

They serve all kinds of classic and unique chocolates, mostly milk or dark (did not see any white when we went). Definitely some great choices for gifts or for yourself. We did not try their actual chocolate but we did try their gelato/ice cream! Had the vanilla and honey flavours. I must say, the vanilla is the best I've had! And they have nice, intimate seatings in the back which is the perfect place to enjoy your ice cream.

You can get one of the best chocolates with fabulous variety in Soma chocolate especially their dark chocolates. But the other good thing you can get is their Gelato in tasty waffle cones. My favourite flavours are Dark Chocolate And Roasted Almond gelatos.

Love their hot chocolate! Everything inside is good and is great for gifting, or a nice treat for yourself. They are very good with COVID-19 safety measures.

Wonderful Chocolate. Somewhat new to the city of Toronto, but since my first visit, I have become a fan of SOMA. Their chocolate is nice and aromatic. Contrary to commercial alternatives, SOMA has a signature and pleasant sourness and bitterness to their chocolate, adding depth to the flavor and mouth feel. On top of classic products like the simple Dark or Almond topped chocolates, they also have experimental selections. Although some of the experimental ones do leave something to be desired, the chocolate and the ideas they represent remind me of the idea of Toronto, that is limitless potential and fierce creativity. Looking to return to SOMA
