I had high hopes for my next pair of glasses to invest in, and my experience at this clinic was nothing short of extraordinary. From the start, I never felt that I wasn't paid attention to - the front desk staff greeted me quickly, and I was promptly attended to by multiple staff members on the floor. (The ambience of the clinic is impeccable by the way - spacious, modern, bright, and clean). The staff gave me all the freedom I wanted to try on lenses that would suit my style and practical needs - being helpful and giving suggestions, but not in an overbearing way which was really refreshing. In terms of selection, I was honestly pleasantly surprised - I have a low nose bridge and rather wide set eyes, and still they had options that I felt looked really good on me. Not only that, they can order lenses with a custom nose bridge that would suit my face, and even the lenses can be customized to line up perfectly with your sight needs. They have a wide variety of luxury and 'regular' lenses so you will definitely find something within your budget without having to compromise on style. My glasses came in way quicker than I expected. They helped mold the arms of the glasses to fit my face perfectly, and the staff carefully explained to me how to care for them so that they would last a long time. Overall I'd recommend this clinic to anyone looking to have an attentive and comprehensive experience looking for their next pair of glasses!! I even brought my mom here and she purchased two pairs. I was booked for a contact lens fitting at Toronto Eye Clinic for specialty contact lenses that I could wear while playing sports. After years of trying to wear contact lenses and failing, I decided to give it another try. Neda was able to teach me and recommend a brand that is a great match for my eyes. I had to wait for an hour to see Dr Spear, who left the office while I was waiting to see him. I find this very disrespectful. I would though highly recommend Dr Markowitz who was able to see me after her patients so that I would not completely waste my time. She is excellent and from now on the only Doctor I would visit in this eye clinic. Dr Spear called after this review explaining it was a human mistake. I appreciate this but since i was seating right in front of his door and he left without checking or asking if i was waiting to be seen, I still feel he did not show respect for my time.

Dr. Peter Spear is the most knowledgeable, caring and thorough doctor I have ever met. That may be the reason for some of the complaints about long wait times. But keep in mind that all doctors are paid for the number of patients they see and procedures they perform, so being thorough like Dr. Spear is, reduces his earnings and he seems ok with that. It allows him to give the best possible patient care. The wait time to actually see him was filled with various eye tests done by others, so very little time actually sitting and waiting. The office seems to have a very efficient protocol for the various tests before seeing the doctor. I felt the whole office was extremely well run. Whenever I go to Dr. Spear I know I will be well looked after. He’s a doctor you can really trust!

I have been using the services of Dr. Karina Marcovitch for about five years. It is always a pleasure to deal with her. I always look forward to my visits as she has to be the happiest person I know. In addition to her technical skills, the most impressive trait is her passion for her work and compassion for her patients. I once saw her consoling a young girl who was crying because of her eye glasses and condition which says so much about her as a human being. I know I am definitely in the best hands with her for my eyes. The clinic itself is very well run. They move you through very efficiently so you will not spend any excess time here like at some of the medical offices.

I had an appointment with Dr. Bregman and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. She was professional, smart and worked with me to find the prescription for both my contacts and glasses. Highly reccomended

We had an emergency over the weekend and the reception were able to accommodate an appointment within an hour Monday morning, just after we had tried dozens of other locations near by our home that weren't so empathetic to our situation. The doctor was able to identify the issue and prescribe the medication, which just in a few hours after application already showed results. Clean place, nice staff!

This office was extremely professional. Front staff was courtesy and efficient. The clinic was able to set up an appointment the same week. We waited only a few minutes for the appointment. Dr. Kelly was thorough and extremely helpful. He discovered we needed to see a retina specialist and due to a business trip in just a few days, he managed to contact an office that could do laser surgery that afternoon. Yes, the clinic does note at its front desk that this is a teaching facility and some interns do work there. Everyone we saw at the office was professional and proficient at their jobs. What a wonderful experience! Easy to talk with , modern and advance equipment on my examination. Dr. Ly was phenomenal and her approach to my medical needs made me feel secure. I can honestly say I have found a perfect eye clinic for my needs. They had Fantastic options on my prescription and outstanding speedy service.

I was referred by my optician. I'm so pleased with it. I had a great experience overall. Dr. Marcovitch is not only knowledgeable and professional, but very friendly and approachable. The whole experience was a positive one. Acceptable waiting time (if any).

Great experience here. I come here for my eye checkups, lens, and contacts. The staff are always very sweet and accomadating. The doctors are pleasant and the store is well designed. Nice selection of frames too. 10/10

Office is nice and organized, reception staff were pleasant and welcoming. The doctor was detailed and took her time understanding my issue. Though my problem was unresolved, I am happy as to the level of service I received because apparently, I needed to be referred out to another doctor who specializes in my issue. I had a small issue with the man in charge in relation to what was covered and not covered in my exam, which was left unresolved.

Dr. Karina Marcovitch is fantastic, I have been a patient of hers for many years. She has the perfect way of speaking and listening to patients, which puts them at ease.

A GOOD INITIAL VISIT TURNS INTO A HORRIBLE OVERALL EXPERIENCE!! My first visit to the Toronto Eye Clinic was 10/25/2022. I took my elderly Mom for a full eye exam. She had the Ocular Coherence Tomograpy test followed by the standard eye test with Dr. Peter Spear. He was professional and knowledgeable and seemed quite genuine about Mom's eye health. I decided to order her glasses at the same time, one stop shop. The staff members assisting us were helpful so I decided to fill my prescription issued by another Doctor and hadn't yet expired. (under 11 months) THIS WAS A TERRIBLE MISTAKE ON MY PART. I have worn glasses all my life and I had never experienced anything like this before. Progressives were suggested for me. After 2 attempts there was something still not right with my glasses. I voiced my concerns to the staff and subsequently it was escalated to the Manager(I believe her name was Nadei) or something similar to that. She verbally humiliated me in the presence of other customers by raising her voice and accusing me of abusing their customer service policy. Instead of trying to resolve the issue of why my glasses were not working for me she was busy attempting to upsell thinner more expensive lenses. Horrifying and disgusting!! It was the most unprofessional, disrespectful and condescending behavior that was ever directed to me( a paying customer) Nadei was unapologetic for her behavior and now I'm left with glasses that are not serving me welI. My Mom purchased her glasses here. I also referred my brother after my initial visit and he had his eyes tested and also purchased glasses. They were both horrified that I was treated with such contempt. Despite the despicable experience I decided to book a thorough eye exam with Dr. Peter Spear on May 11th, 2023. I had all applicable specialzed tests and standard eye exam. Prescriptions were issued for glasses and contacts. The Reception Desk offered to order a trial pair of contacts for me. Against my better judgment I said yes. It's June 18th, 2023 and I have yet to receive a call from the Toronto Eye Clinic. I followed up 3 weeks ago and was told only the left contact came in and they were waiting for the right eye and someone would call me when it's ready. Still waiting... As with glasses, I've also worn contacts for a long time and I know for a fact that ordering a trial pair does not take over a month. I believe the Reception Desk was instructed not to proceed with the order. Again, they offered. If you were to add up the amount of money spent by my Mom, brother and myself it would be in excess of $2000. The experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. This is definitely not the way to increase your customer base. Customers are the backbone of every business. The manner in which I was treated tells me I'm of no importance to this establishment. I will not lose sleep over this terrible experience but I felt compelled to share I'm trying extremely hard not to think that my skin colour had a role to play in how I was treated but perhaps that's a reality I need to consider.

This clinic should REALLY be a walk in clinic. They already serve emergencies and other difficult cases and right when you walk in there's a sign that says that your appointment may take 2-4 hours (!!!) I had a non vision eye related case and it took 45 mins for the assistant to see me for check up and then had to wait more for the doc only to find out I'd be lots of $$$ out of pocket if I wanted to do it. So I left. Difficult to find parking too. Only good part is that the secretaries were very nice and patient.

I felt great after getting my treatment and the doctors treated me very well.

I came many times and did an eye exam, I had a problem, the doctor could not give me a specific diagnosis!!!!I prescribed an antibiotic several times, as a result, I now have corneal dystrophy!!!! I have not seen a non-professional doctor anymore!!! Just pumping out money!!!

I had my eye exam with Dr. Peter Spear and he went beyond to check my eyes for a spot that was concerning me even though he didn’t have to. The optical staff also helped me pick up the right glasses that would match my face. I had no idea what I wanted but she made some great suggestions and I am very happy with my new looks.😎🤓

I went there based on recommendation from people in the area. I had such a good experience. Dr. Bregman’s personality was top notch. It wasn’t just “small talk” but actual conversations that I had with her. The online booking, confirmation, examination, payment - all went smoothly. I wish they have signs outside the building because people need to know about this clinic!

Any clinic that works with Dr. Yang cannot be good. She’s very unprofessional and doesn’t know her job apart from pushing $3000 lens on you. She’s literally the worse profession I’ve ever had to deal with.

It used to be a good clinic with good doctors, the problem every time I go there they change my doctors and have new doctors, I have been there for many years and just was okay and I got to use that to see new doctors but when I went there in 2023 the doctor seen me was unfriendly and rushed just took 2 minutes and finished the all test but other years when they did my eyes test took half hour or more because I have some conditions, so I won’t back there anymore

The office was so clean. I felt like a princess. The drs were so kind and gentle. I was so nervous. And they use new technology. Which is very cool.

After looking for a new eye doctor for a couple years I was happy to finally find Dr. Bregman. Dr. Bregman was incredibly thorough, kind, and helpful. With her help, I was able to get a new prescription that allows me to see better and try some new contract lenses. I will definitely be going back!

I am very impressed with the whole set up! The staff were friendly and Dr. Ly was very thorough and patiently answered all of my concerns. I was also impressed with their OCT scan because at all of my previous optometrists, this scan was not an available option.

A Family friend referred me to Dr Spear for an eye exam. His clinic was through with pretesting including a scan of the back of my eye. I highly recommend Dr Spear examined my eyes explaining my family history of Glaucoma and answered all my questions. I will trust him with my eye care. Thank you, Dr. Spear!

I recently had an eye exam to update my prescription and picked two new pairs of glasses. The whole process was very quick and smooth. The doctor was very professional in explaining to me how I should take care of my eyes, and the store staff were very helpful in picking frames. I have always had trouble with frames sliding down my face, or with heavy frames feeling uncomfortable, so they helped me find a pair of light titanium frames (and even added custom nose pads!) which fit perfectly.

Was able to get an apt same day. I was in and out very quickly, which was nice because I had to get back to work. In and out in under 30 minutes, my seat in the waiting room didn't even get warm. Dr. Spears has obviously been doing this for some time. I really didn't have to ask any questions, as he provided all the info I needed, and seemed genuinely nice. And though I'm sure he sees so many people everyday, I didn't get that 'cattle herding' feeling like I do when I go see my GP.

Been to lots of clinics in the area and Dr Malkovich is definitely one of best in Toronto!

I had an eye emergency and they were able to fit me in the same day. Start to finish excellent care. Dr Bregman took time and explained everything. Nader was very helpful in finding glasses that I liked and understanding when I decided progressive lenses were not for me and was able to exchange with no hassle at all. I won't go anywhere else they epitomize perfection in care.

I and my family was very happy to see doctor Ly for my daughter and husband. She is very good doctor, and a kind person. She is very gentle with my daughter, and a good optometrist. We are happy she accepted my family as new patients when my husband book appointment. I had big accident in Japan and she continue with my care in Toronto. Thank you doctor Ly

UPDATE I would like to take this time to provide an update to my post from 3 months ago. I received a phone call from the owner of the Toronto Eye Clinic after my review was posted and this resulted in an invitation to discuss what went so wrong. Peymon, thank you for taking the initiative and the highroad by reaching out to me. Miscommunication, misunderstanding and an ex-employee that treated me with contempt made for an unfortunate experience. After meeting with Peymon and Neda in person, I can genuinely state, the color of my skin was not the issue. Neda has been instrumental in resolving the problems pertaining to my glasses and contact lens. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient and compassionate. Her strategic, methodical approach addressed each problem until resolution was achieved. Peymon, Neda, I sincerely apologize for any backlash that resulted from my initial post. Your willingness to work with me despite my review demonstrated your professionalism and humility. My deepest gratitude and appreciation to both of you.

Surly the best place I have ever been for checking my eyes, and picking up new glasses. I have since taken my whole family for their annual eye exam. Thanks Dr Bergman and the team at Toronto Eye Clinic.

I ran out of my contact lenses just before my flight on Dec 24th, and they had contact lenses in stock. I was able to pick up my daily contacts just before my flight. Thanks for your help Toronto Eye Clinic.
