I came here to watch Hamilton, the musical. THAT was incredible and I highly recommend you see it, but that is not what this review is about.. This review is about the theatre itself, which was also amazing. Comfortable seats, good viewing from anywhere in the theatre, complex sets and lights for the best experience, and a full bar. Additionally, the bathrooms were very clean and handicap accessible, the sink had a cool water feature too that I have never seen before but I didn't take a photo of it, guess you will just have to go and see it for yourself!

This theater is iconic on the Toronto theatre scene. Originally built to house Miss Saigon in 1993, it has seen thousands of performances over the past 29 years. The current show ' &Juliet ', is destined for greatness on Broadway. It is spectacular. Staff are friendly and helpful. Theatre is comfortable and opulent. Absolutely love seeing performances here.

I need more than 5 stars for this one, because seeing Hamilton at the Princess of Wales theatre was absolutely incredible! Firstly, the performance was absolutely astonishing. The talent and the production itself are outstanding. The seating in the theatre is comfortable, and it seems that the stage is completely visible from any seat in the house. The acoustics in this visually stunning building are fantastic, you could hear a pin drop on stage if you had to. This was such a memorable experience - we’ve decided to come back and see SIX!

I saw the Hamilton Show at the Princess of wales Theatre and you can say they “Blow us all Away!” Amazing Show and Cast! At first, I thought will this be any thing close to the Original cast, and they killed it! Love every moment of the show! This is a Must see if you’re a Hamilton fan. Great job cast! You represented Hamilton perfectly! And the theater was extremely exceptional as well 😉.

I've been to The Princess of Wales theater a few times over the years but I was recently there to see Mean Girls The Musical. This venue is always spotless and with excellent staff. Great sightlines, comfy seats and excellent sound! Good refreshment options are available too.

The view from row D seat 40 had great sight lines. Comfortable seats, ample room. The staff were very accommodating, offering directions to the facilities, the lounge and to the seats. A great place to see a play.

Great place with a great atmosphere! Hamilton is amazing! One star minus for the huge line for washrooms and water that you need to pay. There's no way to have just a free glass of water. Please, guys, people paid 130 CAD for a ticket. Keep having good control over those who try to take photos during plays and those who are late.

Visited the Princess of Wales theatre for a viewing of Hamilton the Musical. The location is a very short walk from public transit (one subway stop away from union station and then a 2 min walk). We purchased our tickets in advance and arrived 20 minutes prior to the showtime. The process was easy and quick to get to our seats. There was an elevator option for accessibility, as well as stairs, to every level. The washrooms were very well kempt, however line ups were long for men and women’s washrooms in between show times. There was a gender neutral wheelchair accessible washroom available with low wait times. The show itself was wonderful! The sound quality and viewing quality was great even from the seats at the back of the theatre.

Love this theater. I've sat in most sections. And have no issues with sight lines. Except for a couple of times where there was a large person in front of me. Although I would be happy if they had more ladies rooms. Or made intermission longer. It was a little cool in the theater.

Just saw & Juliet, it was excellent. A modern twist on the original Romeo & Juliet story. The music, singing, costumes and staging were incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Lovely old theatre. Lots of stairs even to get to Orchestra. Bathroom fancy tap waste too much water, the entire length of the tap turns on for one person. Saw Juliet there, a fabulous musical, will have you clapping, dancing and leaving you wanting more. Highly recommend. *****

Beautiful live theatre space! Have been coming here for years to experience different Mirvish productions, and most recently watched the stage adaption musical of ROOM. From start to finish, service was wonderful. Sound in the theatre was great, our seats were comfortable, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Since the pandemic, Mirvish has upgraded sure filters, check vaccination status and everyone must be masked to enter. However these excellent safety policies are only guaranteed until May 1. So do check their website too see how things change from May onwards. I really hope they stay safe. Even Soulpepper Company has reverted back to 50% occupancies for safety!

Enjoyed seeing Hamilton at the Mirvish. I didn't do any research beforehand. So I was surprised to find out that this musical was mostly rap. It took several minutes to start to appreciate the show. It was certainly unique as I have been to many shows. High production values, great singing and acting. Gorgeous theatre. The slope of the theatre floor is good to allow for unobstructed views. The only complaint were the narrow seats. For me that was the difference between 4 and 5 stars. Sitting cramp for 3 hours can be taxing for some.

We were here to watch Hamilton. What an amazing musical. From the music, singing, choreography and stage design, you can tell they really put in a lot of efforts. Don’t compare to the show on Disney+ though because the original broadway cast did set the bar really high. But watching the musical live did make us appreciate the show so much more. Try getting the rush ticket for $59 if can. Also the underground parking at the theater can be expensive. There are other cheaper options near by that’s around $10 for weekend matinee show.

Great theatre! I had a great experience watching Hamilton. The areas to get snacks and stuff remind me a lot more of a stadium when seeing a concert, with small booths / bars in the lobby areas. It was cool to see the giant banner in the stairwell of all the shows over the years. I would probably say the lobby area is a bit nicer at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre than this one, but the theatre itself was nice.

We watched Hamilton at the theatre on a Saturday and it was fantastic. We were concerned about making it on time with heavy traffic and rain but we were able to enter and get directions to our seats very quickly and efficiently from guest services. The show itself was the best I've seen live. Amazingly talented people and an awesome stage.

Went to see Hamilton the Musical, Canadian cast was superb. The staff was friendly and helpful, parking was available downstairs of the venue which was amazing- since Parking/Traffic in Toronto is not the greatest. The food stands were stocked with good varieties, can get expensive. The bathrooms were also clean. I have seen other shows here including Phantom and and Mean girls! Can’t wait whats next in store for Princess of Wales.

Came here to watch Quiz Lady on opening night for the Toronto international film festival. The venue was very clean and beautiful as well as very spacious. Highly recommend coming for a screening even though we were sitting in the dress circle. It was still a great view.

Attended Hamilton for the first time here. It was really well done, great cast and you will like it if you enjoy rap/r&b music. I specially enjoyed performances by Trey Curtis (Hamilton), Marla Harmon (Angelica Schuyler), and Morgan Anita Wood (Eliza Hamilton). Rick Negron (King George) was a scene stealer, so cheeky and funny. I sat in row GG, seat 12 and it was off to the side but not bad at all. I wouldn’t hesitate to get similar seats or go even closer. You can still see the stage and see everyone’s facial expressions. Tip: 15 mins intermission is like hunger games for the washrooms but once it starts - you need to run to the washrooms if you are a woman. Otherwise there is quite a long line and you risk going over the intermission period.

Always love coming here. Sat first row top balcony, the bar that was on the ledge had me concerned it would interfere with seeing the show. It did, but only for one part. Besides that great experience. Staff was wonderful as always.

I've never been to the theatre before and now I definitely see the hype. This specific theatre has a rotating stage and tons of lighting/sound technologies. It's honestly impressive. Front row tickets to Hamilton were about 100 each.

Saw Hamilton here. Such an awesome experience. The theater is well designed and easy to get around. Underground parking helps a ton in the busy city!

Stunning theatre. Great acoustics and versatile stage. On a more personal level the seats are very comfortable. They are broad and not too low for those with long legs. The stage was very clear with no obstructions.

This is a lovely theater with a good view of the stage and audio regardless of where you are seated. Snacks are reasonable. Lavatories are clean. I saw Hamilton here, and it was a truly wonderful play. We had a few empty seats around us. I'm not sure if Mirvish does the same day ticket specials they have on Broadway; if not, I highly recommend it. Everyone should get the opportunity to see a musical/play at least once.

Great theatre. Not too large so most of the seats are actually quite good, even in the back. Left and right sides of orchestra have great views.

Very nice theatre on King St close to St Andrew's subway station. Well organized, clean, perfect sound and visibility from all seats. I attached pictures from row K, seat 39. Went to the washrooms and they were supplied and cleaned before and after the show.

Watched Mean Girls last week at the Princess of Wales theatre. It was a good production. We had great seats on the orchestra level in Row F. Underground parking available right below the theatre. Seats are comfortable with decent leg room. Staff are helpful and professional. Overall a good venu to watch a show.

Wonderful venue, I was most recently there for Mean Girls which was a great performance. Venue is clean and nicely set up. Theatre sound and size is wonderful. Location needs a bit of an update and surprised it wasn’t done during Lockdowns. It’s still stuck in this 80’s-90’s vibe. Other than that a few more food and drink options would be nice.

I attended the World premiere of Glass Onion there. I had never been inside the theatre and was quite nervous about our seats in the dress circle (section F). The view was GREAT. In fact, every single seat in the house seems amazing. The architecture and design is just wonderful too and located in the heart of the city. Amazing!

Beautiful! Great performance and elegant venue. The sounds carried all the way to the balcony seats and was gorgeous!🎶 The staff are very kind and helpful, definitely adding to the whole going-to-the-show experience.🎭

I went to the TIFF Festival this year and I got to see some incredible celebrities. It was incredibly crowded and busy, but it was definitely an experience to remember. Will definitely return next year when it's hopefully less busy?

We saw &Juliet which as AMAZING. It was so lively, filled with hilarious comedy lines and wonderfully choreographed dancing. This show could have been put on anywhere and turned out fantstic. The Princess of Whales Theatre lent a perfect backdrop.
