I hope I could give a .1 star. This is the worst clinic that I have encountered so far, the nurse Sharrifa or whatever her name is, was way too rude, can’t explain professionally why they stopped accepting walk-ins but in their website it was saying that they accept walk-ins until 3:30 PM. It’s just not a good place to be, and don’t try to come in here specially if you really need something or for emergency, I doubt that they will prioritize you or even think about your sickness. I hope they find a good person that will really fit to this job and a person who can be professional in every matter. PS: I noticed that the Doctor were mad too, what’s going on in this Clinic? Lmao

This review is with Dr Vale as he is the physician that I was assigned to and partly to experience at the clinic. Dr Vale is very energetic and seem to overall cared for my health compared to other walk ins that I have been to. He did a quick diagnosis, made some recommendations and showed me how to use a cane. Had sprain ankle and came out with pain killers and recommendation for a cane. Was in and out within 1 hr. Would come here again.

I just had a visit with Dr. Michael Vizel. After waiting well over an hour to see him, he spent under 5 mins with me. I came in with a complaint of 2 weeks worth of distended belly he did not examine me. He wrote a prescription for antibiotic in 2 mins and NEVER ONCE made eye contact with me. No bed side manner at all.

Be prepared to meet a nice nurse & then to wait 8000000 years for the doctor. I waited an hour and a half twice before giving up leaving & each time the waiting room was empty! So DO NOT BE DECEIVED by empty waiting room, there are clients who are waiting in the rooms... On my third visit, by miracle, I was seen after 1 hr and 10 mins & the doctor listened to me for 50 seconds, excused himself and came back with 3 prescriptions. He didn't explain what was wrong with me or even what the prescriptions were for. I had to beg him to explain anything, and he gave me a 10 second unclear summary. I was too sick to beg him to elaborate. I went to get them filled at their onsite pharmacy, but she told me to come back in 30 mins because they were busy. After leaving I realized they closed in 20 mins :(. I wasted a lot of my life at this place for nothing. Do not go here.

The reception they have here has bad repore. I was asking questions on how to book an appointment and she was not very helpful and was more interested in getting back to whatever she was watching on the computer. I had about 20 min left before they closed. there was one person waiting. They insisted the doctor was leaving in the next 5-10 min yet they close at 6pm. Ended up going to another clinic. The one at York is even worse. I phoned in ahead and they said you can come. When I get there, you have to book an appointment online. Appletree is the worst. Have yet to have a good experience. Haven't been in about a year. decided to give them another try. Left York as well and went to another clinic that ended up being a distance away but much less hassle and very knowledgeable doctor.

THIS IS A BARE BONES OPERATION. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I went to the walk-in on a Saturday.. online it said they open at 12pm.. when I called they said 9:30am and when I showed up it was actually 12:30pm.. after waiting until 1:30pm the doctor hadn't shown up because they were stuck in traffic. If a doctor can't even get to work within an hour of when they are supposed to be there I don't trust their professional judgement in giving me an accurate diagnosis! I walked out. Pathetic.

Disastrous Child abuse family doctor Noah Vale !!!!be careful never send any minor kids to his clinic!! Very bad disrespectful not even a normal human being .very low using bad words in front of kids!! I went the first time with my 14 years old boy to check he was coughing, after 3 hours we came in to the checking room Vale told my 14 years old son I will consider you as an adult and you can “kick your mother out “ then repeated if you want to talk about private issues and show me any thing as secret you can just kick your mother out! He kept on encouraging him with his bad vocabulary to kick me out disrespectfully with degrading looks and words! I felt what is he saying is that a kind of humour here!?then my son told him no I want my mother with me it’s just a chest normal examination after all for his cough plus he is not doing his job he is just a family doctor here not an analyst or therapist!! We went on last Tuesday for a another follow up and again asked my minor kid the same thing do you want to kick your mother outside!what a crazy person before being a family doctor he should know how to talk to kids and teaching them to disrespect their mothers in a very mean and rude way!

Too bad this rating system doesn't allow for 0 stars because this is what this clinic deserves. The staff at Appletree have absolutely zero care for patients. They are condescending, rude and just plain lie about wait times. I was the 2nd person in the clinic and had to wait for 60 minutes? I asked 15 minutes in, when I was next, and they said "5 minutes". Fast forward 40 minutes, I walked out of the clinic has I had other commitments. This place is an absolute joke. I rather honestly walk into emergency than visit this clinic. Please revisit how you treat patients. I understand that you are downtown and you do not care due to volume of patients that you see but this sort of effort and care especially in the field you are in is unacceptable.

The waiting time is RIDICULOUS!!! you need to wait at least ONE hour even with an appointment booked!! I asked the receptionist when can I check in since I’ve been waiting for more than an hour. And she asked me to sit down and wait for them to call my name, and said we are always behind in time ??? The doctor seems good although the whole process was really short. (I personally don’t mind no small talks as long as my problem got resolved.) All I am asking is PLEASE RESPECT EVERYBODY’s TIME!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. Average wait time is minimum two hours even booked appointment. I'd rate this place negative if I could. Dr. Michael Vizel has no respect to his patients. I wanted to ask a few more questions and he asked me to book another appointment, which would be another hours of waiting. Horrible experience.

I walked in at 9 am. for a quick diagnosis if I needed antibiotics. I was done at early 10ish. There were five patients ahead of me, and two had appointments. It is a reasonable wait.

Poor customer experience with their online medical appointments. Infinite wait-time, mis-leading updates, poor software application. Probably designed to maximize profits with zero respect for patient's time and experience.

Apple tree virtual care is terrible. The doctors do not send the requisitions/prescriptions following the appointments. I have had to call their phone line and speak to different people 4 times, over 6 hours of call, I was hung up on on my most recent call. I still have not received a prescription it has been over 3 weeks of waiting. No one has any clue how to run this place.

*Stay away from this place at all costs* Worst clinic ever. Doctor is rude and mad all the time. Very abusive behavior toward his employees and his employees are rude as it can get as well. Just wasted 3hrs of my time then blame me for their mistakes. What the hell is happening to the customer service?

Don't waste your time coming here. I just waited an hour for them to tell me they no longer accept walk ins. Even having made an appointment they still force you to wait well beyond your scheduled time. The doctors here are good which is the only reason I gave it a star. The clinic however is a complete mess

I have been going to Dr. Vale for 5+ years now and I am extremely happy with the care he has given me. He's smart and very efficient.  I've been shown compassion and he's gone above and beyond. Wonderful doctor.

I visited with my 4-month-old baby for consultation as she had skin problems. I was very disappointed and frustrated by the doctor’s attitude and behavior. The doctor was impatient and unmannered. He didn’t even introduce himself or greet us when he entered the room. He barely looked at us or my baby and seemed annoyed by our questions. He also made some insensitive and ignorant comments, such as telling me that I should travel as far as I can to access a family physician. He didn’t care about the inconvenience and risk of driving 45 km from my home for every visit, especially with an infant. He also unwelcomed and discouraged us from bringing our baby, saying that she already has a doctor and treated as if we were wasting his time. He completely ignored the fact that medical centres are meant to provide accessible and timely health care for anyone who needs it. I felt disrespected and mistreated by the doctor. He showed no empathy or professionalism. If you have choice avoid this clinic. But unfortunately the chances that you have other choices is very small if you’re living in Ontario.

I wish I could give this a .1 star review (there should be a base for existing). It's 2022. The phone message noted that the website is the place to go for information on medical records. The website has no information, I'm forced to call again. Thanks for this, I have lots of time to listen to useless, untruthful babble. I have important, pertinent records to add to my file which will impacts treatment. My options are to call the other institution to FAX the info (incur costs) or print out the info (which I can download from the hospital) and submit it in person (this was surmised, when I questioned how reasonable the only other option presented to me). I last saw a FAX machine on Storage Wars. This company is a show...how can it be allowed to exist as a viable option for medical treatment? Apple Tree has a patient portal, are they not able to manage ANY methods of receiving information. This is simply absurd. I like my doctor. This is the only good thing about Apple Tree. FAX THIS APPLETREE!!!

Terrible service! In fact one of the worst! The wait time is crazy, whether you have an appointment or not, you’re waiting. First time without appointment I waited over 3 hours the second time with an appointment I’m still waiting - it’s been 30 minutes. I approached the front desk person and they told me ‘ok I’ll put you through next’ Like seriously people? Looking for another office - too bad, the doctor is good and seems to genuinely care.

I’d have to give this clinic 3 stars. They aren’t rude, a little sarcastic.. kinda left me feeling like I don’t know what to think but overall I had an okay experience here. I would not recommend this clinic but I wouldn’t discourage going here if you need to. Reading all the comments I figured I should utilize the service to see how it went. It’s just meh.

My experience was terrible. The doctor refused to explain my blood work results and suggested that I figure it out at home. The doctor is always late to see me so I wait in the room for an hour or more. He said it is because I have’s many underlying issues. So even if I booked an appointment! I still wait for long time. The receptionist is acting as a boss and my turn has been skipped following her instructions.

I have been visiting this clinic more than a year, I always had an appointment but it was not possible to see my doctor before 1 hour wait time. Once I had to wait for 2 hours and 15 minutes. Someone should explain them what an appointment means. Also, they let some people cut the line and see the doctors I guess this might be one of the reason of huge wait times. Ohh also their central customer service line is not the best one. I guess staff is really unhappy with their jobs. They don't listen carefully on the phone and sometimes they hang up on people if they don't feel like working. When I get my call directed to the clinic, I never get an answer and their mailbox is always full. There is no way to reach them. If you are asking for them to e-mail your blood-works or prescriptions your chances to get all of the documents are not high. I am trying to see my doctor for the last time to get my prescription then I am never ever coming back to this place. Never.

The doctor's appointment was okay, but scheduling doesn't make you wait less to be attended. The time schedule at the door also doesn't mean anything, since they arrive whenever they feel like it. I was hopping for a bit more professionalism.

Although it took almost 2h to exit the clinic after my appointment scheduled time, I had a lovely experience with Dr. Vizel and all the other staff. The nurse is very kind! The place could have better lighting and be more cleaned on the corridors and entrance, but overall the experience was very good and up to standards. So far, I recommend!

For MONTHS now someone has been using my phone number to book their appointments for this clinic. I don't even live in Toronto. I LIVE IN AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PROVINCE. I'm so tired of calling this clinic, telling them that they keep sending me messages to "confirm my appointment" and they just say there's nothing they can do about it except talk to the person next time they come in. Okay...so I'm assuming this person must've come in at least 3 times now right? According to all these texts I get? Where's the confrontation? "We can't remove the phone number from this person's file because otherwise they can't get appointments". I mean......they aren't getting any confirmation texts regardless because I'm getting them...so.... EDIT: One receptionist seemed genuinely concerned about this and said he'd take some time to sit down and figure it out, which I appreciate. I didn't get to speak to him again since the clinic closed but he was helpful, so thank you! As well, a receptionist from Ottawa called me to "confirm my appointment" and I told her about my situation and she dealt with it immediately. For now, I haven't received any more texts/calls but this would usually happen every 2 months or so. Thank you to her as well.

Nice people but of zero help. They did not ask for medical history or if I had any conditions or where in medication. Doctor was nice but t Did not do any sort of a check up - did not check my blood pressure or breathing. 5 minutes just wrote the test that I need to complete at a lab. Do not bother, go and find a another doctor.

Dr. M Vizel is an excellent Doctor, and great listener, who spends time and explains all the issues and options to patients. Only issue is with facility, the wait times are crazy. sometimes even if you are booked for 2 PM, you get to meet doctor around 3:30 PM. I think as Dr. is so good, its a "trade off" I am willing to take.

  • 1/5 Tina N. 2 years ago on Google
Come here if you want to waste your time. Poor management and organization from the staff here. Had to wait 2HRs for a walk-in and if you book an appointment ahead, you still have to wait at least 30mins before they see you. This clinic should seriously consider ONLY doing walk-ins or appointments as they do not have the ability or skill to juggle both. DO NOT COME HERE. You have been warned.

Two hours to see a doctor. This is crazy for patients and for the ONE doctor working at the clinic and has to see everyone. CRAZY!! The ventilation is also horrible and breathing with a mask is unbearable for people with breathing issues.

I had to contact the college of physicians and surgeons after this company refused to transfer my serology report to my employer at the hospital. Each time (11 occurrences in total) that I tried contacting the office, I was speaking with a new 1-800 representative, and given different information. At one point I was told that it could take up to 4-6 weeks for my records to be sent (1 page serology report was required to be faxed). I have never dealt with such an unprofessional scattered medical group in my life. I eventually had to contact public health for a real solution. In total I had to book three appointments just to have my lab results read which is ridiculous. One doctor was unable to find my files within their software all together. I feel Apple Tree operates in this manner because it forces patients to book several virtual appointments. This place is a complete chaotic mess. Stay far away.

Dr. Vale is an excellent doctor. He is very thoughral, caring, smart, trustworthy. I have felt like a rushed number in other clinics. Not in this clinic. I highly recommend this doctor. I don't understand the bad reviews.

My roommate thought she might have strep and we were both very concerned (as it's highly contagious). She had an appointment with Dr. Vizel, who took a two second glance at her tonsils, wouldn't administer a rapid test, immediately prescribed antibiotics and tried to shove her out quickly. As for other more long standing and very concerning medical issues she's been dealing with, he said it wasn't worth doing any testing (despite other doctors saying the only way to figure out what's happening is to do some tests). Lazy doctors who do not care about their patient's health, and freely give out antibiotics (when antibiotic resistance is already an issue) are extremely frustrating to me. People go to a doctor to receive care and guidance. Now we don't even know if she is contagious and have no more clarity into treatment/a path to a solution on her other issues. Very disappointing.

Don't even think about of going there. No respect for patients time, after a month of waiting for a phone call from the doctor, nobody called me, I called after 45 minutes and they said the doctor behind in schedule today, I waited for another half hour, nobody called me I called the office after 27 minutes waiting time they told me the doctor had called me, but that did not happened, the customer service lady called the office again they yelled at her and said the doctor had gone for the day, there is no straight answer yet,I was very upset and we ended the call, few minutes later the doctor called me to say the he is sorry they missed the appointment, that is a total of 2 hours of my day waiting for a phone call. I am not going back there, and I am in the process of filing a complaint with the customer service.

I had an appointment, and I had to wait for an hour to see a doctor even though nobody's here waiting. I'm not comfortable discussing my health concerns with the receptionist she asked me that I can't have multiple inquiries, and I can see the Dr only for one inquiry.

This is the most unprofessional walk in clinic I have ever been to. I was the second person at the clinic when it opened and was told the wait was going to be 1-2 hours and to register so they could call me back when the doctor was ready to see me. I went on a walk around and did not receive any calls. 3 hours later I went in and it was empty, and they had a doctor for me, so had I not came back, they would have never called me. Not to mention the doctor was very loud about my personal issues, and kept walking in and out of the room when I was talking about my health concerns.

I have never in my lifetime gone to my ex family Doctors, walk -in clinic's, hospitals even and, NO WAY DO YOU WAIT for the Doctor to arrive to do his duty !! He has no remorse for this 2 hour wait at times we are all waiting on him??. This is just wrong. If he can not handle the work load then he should be eliminating one of them or how ever many . Or why is he always, AND I MEAN ALWAYS late?? HE STARTED at first 12:00pm, then because he could not make that time the office were getting the flack due to him always being late!!!. The doctor seems okay but he’s always late and I’m not convinced he’s good enough for the wait. They upped the time to like 1.30pm , then 2.00pm,..... this is ridiculous. Does he think that we are just like nobodies? Like nobody is there in need of seeing him?? Come on. When one is sick or needs medication, then this should be addressed ON TIME... [give or take a few moments] Lets not mention also that he takes forever with a patient. At least 1/2 hour ... which could of taken possibly 5 minutes to write a script. Absolutely no need for all these people waiting long hours for a 15minu tes to, 1/2 hour visit!!! A compliant should be addressed to Head Office. I am grateful for ALL Doctors that have been available for the past 2.5 years to assist and help us in need. Dr. M. V you need to be on time, better yet, be early. So many , and I mean many patients are complaining and talking about this issue always. It has never failed that he has been majorly LATE and also not thinking ANYTHING ABOUT BEING LATE PERIOD. Disrespectful. It is funny that they expect "RESPECT".... BUT........ I know that this Doctor has NONE. kind regards, H.U.

If you were dying and needed a family doctor, you should go to a walk in clinic than going to Appletree medical group. There are lots of problems with them. First, my doctor is available only once a week. There is no other communication tool for me to be in contact with him during the week. No email contact to clinic, to my doctor, no phone call, literally nothing. Second, sometime even for the day that the doctor is available, he is fully booked and I have to wait for two weeks to get an appointment with him. Third, I used the virtual appointment option on Appletree medical group website to book a virtual with one of their other doctors. Also, I took a screenshot for myself from the schedule showing the booked appointment. 2hrs before the appointment, I noted that there is no such booking on my schedule and it has been deleted without updating me about any cancellation. I called them and explained the issue. They just felt sorry for me and said they can not see any record of booking or cancellation. I asked him to give me an email address so that I can share the screenshot with them but they just refused and said if there was anything, they should be able to see that. They are literally terrible.
