Botterstichting Elburg

Tourist attraction Museum

👍👍 Waited two years because of corona to be allowed to botch on the Veluwemeer. After visiting the Bottermuseum, we boarded the EB 39 for a journey of approximately 4 hours. Pleasant temperature of 23 degrees and a light northwest wind. Along the way we did the necessary things to help the volunteers.... People often mention Elburg, botter,

(Translated by Google) Waited two years because of corona to be allowed to botch on the Veluwemeer. After visiting the Bottermuseum, we boarded the EB 39 for a journey of approximately 4 hours. Pleasant temperature of 23 degrees and a light northwest wind. Along the way we did the necessary things to help the volunteers. Like hoisting the sails and being at the helm. Unfortunately there was not enough wind to speak of a sailing race, but still, for this landlubber it was beautiful. Highly recommended. Volunteers from the Botter Foundation Elburg, thank you. I immediately became a donor. Such initiatives should never be lost. Ben gelijk donateur geworden. Dit soort initiatieven mogen nooit verloren gaan.

Great place to see old boatbuilding techniques and fishmongers' history. Typical Dutch historic activity, no tourist should miss this as this is at the heart of what made us the sailors we were back then

Small museum at the harbour. Guided tour available. It is certainly fun to view the botter that is being restored. Many photos and models on display in the museum.

Last Sunday we had a fun and educational day with the whole family. 2 hours of sailing with a very nice crew. We were allowed to help a little and ask anything. Well-organized lunch on the drill. And then got a tour of the small but very interesting museum. In combination with the cute town of Elburg we had a great day!

(Translated by Google) Nice look at how a botter yard works and looks like. Located directly at the marina of Elburg. The gentleman who gave the tour enthusiastically told his story about the botters, about the acquisitions and the history. You also get to see how the botters are restored. In season you can also take boat trips on a botter.

Is closed without any indication of opening hours. While according to the latest opening hours on Google maps they would be open every day.
