Windmill De Zoeker is one of the working windmill in Zaans. There are machinery inside the windmill for grinding various spices from different countries. No entry fee to the windmill is required and it is a good experience to see what is going on with the grinding process here. You can also select a bunch of spices which are on sale. There are very pretty villages around too. Really enjoyed the trip.

Zaanse Schans “village” is approximately 30 minutes away from Amsterdam City. It can be reached by train from the airport or central station. There is a 10 minute walk from the station the the village. If you visit Amsterdam i highly recommend that you take a half day trip to this quiet place and enjoy a stroll among the mills. Take a snack with you or enjoy one of the food outlets there.

Good tour inside a windmill making oil from seeds. It is good to see how this old building mostly made from wood is still working and preserved in a good condition. Loved the sound that it makes when the windmill is turning and all the wooden gears and cogs inside rotate.

It is a very beautiful place where you can see part of the history of the place. Each mill was like a small industry, each with its own role ... cutting wood, making colors with the power of the wind. The parking lot seemed quite spacious. Admission to the complex is not paid. It is paid only at the entrance inside the mills. There are souvenir shops, food, drinks. You can taste and buy local cheeses. It is a bit crowded but well worth a visit. It is very close to Amsterdam from where organized tours are made to visit the place

Interesting experience for a family, it is good they are still operating the windmill, you can still taste past medieval years experience, Mill owner was really kind person who knows his windmill very well, after a 15 minutes of demonstration both English and Spanish he will let you visit second floor of the windmill which you can see gears and other mechanics of windmill also you can take a pictures in balcony area. Note: Stairs are too steep not might be hard for old people or families with small kids to climb but definitely worth the view.

We visited April month foggy weather. But you can enjoy this place at any time. Magical place. Truly enjoyed. Bit uncomfortable for bringing kids in this weather. Little mushy and water everywhere.

Such a stunning place!!! It's so green and spacious and there's so much to see. Lovely people everywhere, the staff is just so friendly. The windmills are beautiful and all throughout the area. It also smells amazing. They sell tons of things there, from the traditional clog shoes to souvenirs to cheese. I must say the cheese is a must try! It's so so good. They also have restrooms and water stations where you can fill your water bottles! Definitely worth the visit if you are around the area.

Best windmill here! Smells really amazing of freshly roasted peanuts. As it's not the first windmill it was much quieter than the others here so worth the visit. The information and history was really well done and there want a lack of language issues as they made the video in a way which didn't require language to be used. the views were stunning here too.

A windmill built in 1672. You can enter the landing around the windmill for a small admission fee. You will have the opportunity to take many photos and videos around the footpath outside. Nice walking track along the river.

The windmill that produces oil was interesting and had a nice tour. Beautiful setting outdoors on the water. But wow, everything about that park was all about getting tourists to buy souvenirs. The classic tourist bus drop off and buying frenzy.

Just had an excellent day here. So interesting. The volunteers at the windmill museum were so helpful and enthusiastic and the museum itself was one of the best I have ever been in. Upstairs there was a photo exhibition and short informative films.

This is a unique village and the windmills offer some picturesque views! Definitely worth a visit as it’s only about a 20 minute drive from Amsterdam. We were lucky to visit on a crisp clear day in November. We stopped in the first windmill that grinds spices as you are able to enter for free. The other windmills will charge around 5 euros per person. The Cheese Farm is also worth a visit and you can sample almost everything. We arrived around 1:30 in the afternoon and spent about an hour and half here.
