It is by far the best L and L Hawaiian BBQ place I have been to. I am from Honolulu HI and this location in Tumwater WA out ranks all of them. The manager is very happy spirited as well as the staff. Oh yeah they even have Chantilly cake, guava and passion cake. Soon good! Thank you Tumwater L and L

I got the 1/2 'n 1/2 Kahlua pig with cabbage & the crispy chicken with pineapple special this time..with rice and macoroni salad to go.. Very polite ladies behind the counter taking my order, cheery & nice smiles. Quick service and.. Tin foil in my container to keep my food warm? Who does this? 👍Nice! Loads of food! I ate 1/2 of it, leftovers for tomorrow.. Lots of folks enjoying dine in orders thankfully.. Good to see. Food was good, great price, but wished there was more pineapple (3 pieces). May be a bit salty for some..not me! Salt watchers beware! Mahalo!

Loving the hawaiian L&L. The employees definitely make it an enjoyable experience. If they had mochiko chicken served every day that would have made the 5 star raiting. 😘

Finding dairy free options at places to eat is hard, but I'm thankful for places like L & L where I know we can get tasty food and great service. Tables were nice and clean and well stocked with condiments as well. They have daily specials and a great array of drink options as well.

Reasonably priced and tasty food with excellent and friendly service! We stopped for a quick dinner on a road trip and were pleased with our meal. The restaurant is also very clean and well kept and the staff are so sweet.

We had the BBQ Mix Combination Plate: Beef, Chicken and Pork chop, served with white rice and macaroni salad. The meats were moist and flavorful. Teriyaki and soy sauce were at the table for added flavor. They were very busy during lunch time, both for dine in and take out. Great job, I will be back to try something else.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - Loco Moco and a mini chicken katsu. The loco moco was done really well with the perfect over easy eggs and plenty of gravy. The patty was seasoned strongly and a bit salty but offsets well with the creaminess of the egg and gravy. Absolutely delicious! The chicken katsu was fried well with a sweet katsu sauce. It was cut unevenly and not all the way through, so we struggled a little bit with the fork and had to tear a few pieces with our hands… Ambience: 5/5 - this is the best decorated L&L we’ve ever been to but the tables were a little bit sticky Service: 5/5 - very attentive and makes sure to address customer by name when they bring the food to you, whether for eating in or to-go Value for price: 5/5 - yummy food but the portions are a bit smaller than other L&L that we’ve been to.

MAN their food ROCKS !!! You have to come by and give it a try. Amazing Chicken Katsu with Curry. Love their curry on rice !!! I had their Monday special Sweet Mochiko Chicken. The chicken has a crispy batter and lightly sauced to maintain that crunch. Even the mini is good size portion. The SPAM Musubi is a delight. Love that gravy. My son told me about this place. He went 4 times the first week and twice a week since.

We spent less than $20 for lunch. Both had burgers. Fries are large enough to share. Cool decor, friendly staff.

So delicious, we order the BBQ chicken and spam musubi, it's always cooked perfectly. Even after another L &L opened closer to our home, we still make the trip to Tumwater. They also offer a 10% discount to first responders.

L&L is fantastic! My first time at this location and it did not disappoint. The BBQ mix is so good. Can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a great stop between Seattle and Portland.

I just got back from the big island last Monday, and this is like the Hawaiian McDonald's. The garlic fish was swai but it was pretty close to the garlic mahi they had back on the big island. This place makes me happy, I fell in love on my vacation and really enjoyed that they have locations on the mainland. The laulau and kalua pork are fantastic and made my day. They also have the Hawaiian sun juice drinks which are fabulous!

The food here is amazing and always is. Great quality and value for your money. Most impressively though, their staff just rocks. I have been to a few of these locations and the Tumwater crew is just awesome. They are so kind and joyful and this is such a fun and upbeat spot to eat. Very highly recommend.

Fast and friendly service. I got the seafood combo with bbq beef. Food came out quick and hot, the beef is so tasty and well seasoned. Next time I'll get the bbq combo w short ribs.

First of all- the food is phenomenal! The bbq beef is fantastic. But secondly, their service is even better. I accidentally ordered a meal that wasn’t what I expected, and due to a food allergy, couldn’t eat it. The employee offered to serve me another meat so I requested a small amount of the bbq beef, and they brought me out an entire meal free of charge! And it was delicious. We will absolutely be back!

The food tastes great but I couldn’t eat my shrimp because it wasn’t cleaned I maybe got to eat 2 pieces in an entire garlic shrimp entree so pretty disappointed

Great restaurant. Always has nice portions and the staff is always friendly. Wait time is hit or miss but it's also not a fast food restaurant, food is made fresh and delicious.

Absolutely Amazing! Affordable, fast and OH so good. We had the Spam Musubi (my first time), and the Hawaiian BBQ. I don't know what they fed that pig, but sign me up!

Very disappointed. Went in the middle of lunch. Ordered the daily special. It seems very old, it's hard, dried out, barely edible. My first time here. I've been looking at it for years. I wanted it to be so good. I'm so disappointed.

My husband and I were visiting family in Lacey WA. L&L Hawaiian Barbecue was at the top of the list of restaurants our 8 year old granddaughter wanted to introduce us to. The food and service were great in a casual atmosphere. Our grandchildren and family used to live in Hawaii, and L&L gave us a chance to recall our past Hawaii experiences. Great food. Great fun!

Typical mainland L&L. I got the mixed meat combo with BBQ beef and BBQ chicken. Chicken was super moist and tasty. Beef was a little overcooked, but still good. I'm used to a scoop of Mac salad and was given a tiny side (3 bites at the most) with my to go order. Customer service was excellent!

Small portions don't make the stop. We go to L& L barbecue all the time up North in Federal Way. I have never been so disappointed with L & L barbecue plates. I ordered a 2 protein combo for $18 this is what they served me. I had one piece of fish and a corner of beef. Just not worth it. All my kids got musubi and they were very very small at $3.50/ each, do better. No one is full after Spending $80!

I enjoy the food however sometimes when I get the bbq chicken, the texture of it feels like it was cooked but not long enough to be tender. Sometimes the cooking is rushed and the beef and chicken can be chewy. I love their chicken Katsu tho…and their portions are great for the price.

The food is very good but the portions are way too small. I usually go to the L&L in Tacoma and get the chicken katsu meal, my plates are full with meat taking up the whole section but this one gives you about 8 pieces dang near. i am also used to getting a full side of mac salad but instead this location puts it into a tiny little cup that’s only a bite size. I wish all of the locations would provide the same sizes since it’s the same chain restaurant but i guess it’s not the case for Tumwater. I’ve always loved the food here but it’s not exactly worth the almost $20 plate for what’s half of what I would get at a different L&L.
