Rhythms Coffee is the absolute best. Dave & Kim always make you feel invited and at home at the cafe. Live music seems to be happening every day, the drinks are on point, and you meet such incredible people in the Oly community every time you wander in. I can't say enough good things about Rhythms. A beacon for live music and good energy in downtown Oly for sure. Stay steady groovin' Oh also, the bathroom alone is worth your visit lol

Though this place has been open for just shy of 3 months, it has quickly began to be revered as the coolest coffee & music home in the West Coast.

Olympia has needed this business since… ever. Amazing coffee. Even better atmosphere. A creative haven created by owners David and Kim. So glad they are here as this is becoming a home away from home. Check out the Monday open mics.

Great music themed coffee shop came in later in the day and there was plenty of space to sit and hang out as well as some outdoor seating. I had there espresso tonic and it was great. Everything on the menu look really good as well and the service was amazing. Parking Maybe a bit difficult because this is in the middle of downtown, but we were able to snag a spot closer to the pier and water. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area

I already know this is gonna be one of our go-to spots for coffee. Added bonus that they’re open later than most, if not all, coffee shops around here! Their mocha was delicious and not overly sweet like other shops that just make their mochas with syrups. Staff was super nice (and masked, which matters to me) The vibe and music inside was also 10/10. Can’t wait to keep coming back here.

After not having coffee for three months due to my gallbladder, I had coffee as a treat for the first time in a while and I will say I was not disappointed. I got an oat milk flat white and it was amazing. This coffee shop in particular is very conscious of where they source their food items and their coffee beans. I am pleased to say I could eat a sandwich with unprocessed chicken. If you are Dairy free, my sandwich did not contain dairy and their milk of choice for dairy free is oat milk, making a creamy beverage without compromising. Thank you!!!

Note: I'm rating this place only based on my matcha latte experience. Seemed to be a popular coffee spot on Google which Offers free Wi-Fi and a good matcha latte. Tried their cold matcha latte with oat milk. Blended to perfection, absolutely loved it. Ambience is great for a 1-2 hr hangout. Service was quick, the waitress was friendly enough and talked to me about parking scenes near capitol. Worth a visit if you are around. They also have Apple fritters I wanted to try but couldn't.

We love rhythms! Excellent drinks, service and vibe. My daughter especially loves the coloring corner. They hung up her picture and she felt famous 🤩

This is such a cozy spot. I tried the Orange Sunshine and listened to a local cellist play. Great decor and vibes. Delicious espresso with a beautiful presentation. Highly recommend!

Great little coffee shop with a good vibe. I needed to lay low and work for an hour or so and Rhythms served me well. Fits Olympia very well and I'm sure I'll find myself in here again. Five Stars.

This is by far my favourite coffee shop in Olympia. Their coffee is high quality and delicious, their drink selection has all of the classics, (plus quite a lot of tea) and they have such a nice ambiance for hanging out and studying. Almost more importantly there are live music shows almost every night here, what rhythms has brought to the live music scene in Olympia is truly something special. Service is also top notch, the owners and employees are some of the friendliest people on the planet. Overall 10/10. Will 100% be here again.

I had such a lovely evening here sipping chai (wow), catching up with a good friend, and soaking in the warm atmosphere. I’ll definitely be a regular, as I love a good coffee house that’s open late with live music. Also, the chai was outstanding - enough bitter and not too sweet - just how I like it.

Stopped in for a drink and sat out on the patio. The staff were so friendly and actually excited to tell me about a drink they had. I had the iced berry tea drink (I can’t remember what it was exactly!) which was tasty and definitely unique. We would definitely stop by again!

Been going here for a couple months now. Quality coffee, great decor, and a fun music-filled atmosphere, especially later in the evening. The owners Kim and Dave are at the shop pretty often and are chill and fun to talk to. Great spot to meet and play with local and traveling musicians (This is a traditional coffee shop that doesn't do half-caf or select size drinks or hot water refills. If that's a deal breaker then try starbucks).

Cool coffee shop. Right next to a great ice cream shop. We had a lemon ginger ice tea and a cookie. Delicious. Live music was a bonus. We sat outside on the nice weather.

Rhythms often has great music from local artists live in the building. The lattes are great, the pastries and cookies are also very good. The only downside is that I want a bigger latte. The atmosphere of this place is amazing. If you haven't left your comfort zone coffee place in a while make a trip here. They are also one of the only places to get coffee later in the evening.

Their excellent taste in music makes me feel right at home. The coffee and especially the iced coffee is my favorite, and the location makes it great for just popping in. I have never been there when music is happening, I hope to one day soon. The staff is always friendly, and my kids love the interesting things in the shelves. Always a treat.

I had some kind of amazing berry tea special and it was sweet and delicious. Never tasted anything like it. You can get a cold Italian soda version too. It’s a small and somewhat noisy venue dedicated to music and they have a lot of live music events. I’ll be back!

Hip hole in the wall coffee shop. Tasty Hot Chocolate. Their Chai latte is also quite nicely blended. The only thing lacking is a bit more seating but the place is small and narrow so I makes more sense for take out I imagine.

i got a mocha that was great! i personally cant afford to go here often but it's definitely a good place to go for a treat now and then. nice atmosphere and decorations, and kind staff. small place; i estimated seating for 20-ish people? i believe the max capacity is 32. mocha came out to something over $8 including a 15% tip. its made with dark chocolate and not too hot, but might cool too quickly for some. my friend got chai for the same price and liked that it had good spice and stayed very hot.

Such an amazing place for the community and all the artists. Bless the kind owners. Please go in and make it your new favorite spot 🔥✨ Great Atmosphere. Great Food & Drinks. Great Art & Music. Great Owners & Staff. What isn’t there to like? 🔥🔥🔥

One of my favorite local coffee shops. You can’t go wrong with whatever drink you pick here! This place has the only type of coffee that I can drink, as other places it doesn’t sit well with me. It’s a very nice, cozy place where I feel comfortable hanging out for a bit while sipping on a delicious beverage and maybe eating a pastry or two. It is a bit pricey in comparison to other coffee shops, but in my opinion it is very much worth it for the quality of the drinks you receive. Thank you Rhythms, you are always appreciated! ❤️

The vibe of this coffee shop is the best in town. This is a great addition to the local music and coffee scene. I have been back multiple times and had either a plain latte or cortado. The coffee itself is really good, not the best around but still very enjoyable. The service was great while I was there and the only negative I can think of is the lack of space inside, though this might just add to the charm.

If i could leave zero stars i would. Your establishment was closed and had been closed for some time so my children and i saw at one of your outdoor tables to enjoy our ice cream from next door, as jujus was packed and everywhere was full. I fully cleaned your dirty table before sitting there and also wiped it down before getting up. Which, by the way is NOT my job but i do it as a curtsey. I changed my baby’s diaper and wiped down the table again, wrapping up all 5 wipies we had used while we were there (3 times if cleaning your table, 1 to dab ice cream off my children and 1 from her diaper change). One of your employees aggressively shoved the door open after hours and VERY rudely demanded i pick up EVERYTHING from wiping my baby down. She wanted me to pick up other peoples garbage and Clorox wipes that were nasty on the ground. You are lucky that employee bailed inside the second i turned around or she would have been lit up beyond anything imaginable in her closed up brain. Teach your employees some respect. As a high end musician that performs at Benaroya Hall you better believe that our entire musical community from Chehalis to Seattle will be hearing about your establishment and how it treats people that take better care of your tables and chairs than your staff does.

This little spot was amazing. The staff walked us through some of their items on the menu and were very patient with us. We were surprised when a guitarist started playing. It was a perfect addition to the evening.

This London Fog tea is just right, with bitter notes, yet sweet enough to enjoy as is.

I tried to order single shot 12 oz moca. I was told they only do double shots. I said I was pregnant and could not have too much caffeine. They said they did not know how much caffeine was in a shot, and told me they could make a decaf and showed me the bag and said they used water not toxic chemicals to decaffeinate it. I looked at the bag and saw no such statement anywhere. I reluctantly agreed to trust their statements. I paid almost $6 for my coffee and was out in my car before I realized it was only a 8oz. I didn't want to deal with going back in so thought whatever I don't need a lot anyway and took a sip. Not only was it not a moca but it was not good at all. I should have just walked out when they told me they could not fill the order I first requested.

I love this place! Live music/open mic brings the community together! Great coffee + late hours!🙃

  • 1/5 Elaine H. 1 year ago on Google
The menu is quite confusing, the sizes of drinks even more so. I ordered a 16oz latte and was promptly told that their lattes only come in a 10oz. I get it, they perfected the quantity of espresso to milk ratio and there's no room to "create your own" in this place. But to also be greeted with a bit of hostility when I'm confused by the menu (which I stated since there was no indication of their sizes) and I was out of my comfort zone... I was less than impressed which was disappointing because the ambiance is quite cute.

This place is one huge step towards improving downtown Olympia! The owners are very welcoming and kind. The drinks and food are excellent. The best part is a very inclusive and diverse community of music lovers that call this place home. It’s about time we got a sober music venue. I’ve only had great times here and I’m looking forward to watching this place grow! Thank you for existing!!!

I came in and paid in $5 worth of change and got good service and the best coffee I’ve ever had. To the barista who I did this to: I am sorry and thank you for an amazing experience. Comfy chairs, good music, it has everything you need for a study hour, a friend meetup, or just to hang out and read
