The Old Market Passage way is a cool experience year-round, but it's especially gorgeous when decorated for the holidays. I highly recommend eating at Trini's Mexican restaurant. Kind staff, excellent food, and very reasonably priced.

I love the old market, I make it part of my Omaha agenda. Lots of shops and places to eat. The passageway is gorgeous, as a house plant lover it's heaven. This last trip sadly two major restaurants were no longer open, the district is looking for someone to fill those spaces. I would recommend going on the weekend. If you are there on a weekday, wait til late afternoon or evening. We were there at 12noon on a Monday and it was dead! When I walked back thru closer to 4pm there were street performers and some foot traffic.

The passthrough is cool, but the shops are overpriced tourist traps for the most part.

Starting on the intersection of 10th and Howard street. Spanned over 3 blocks in each direction. The fascinating feature is its brick streets. There is a parking lot or you can meter park on street. In 7 minute walking distance from Durham museum. I mentioned Durham museum as you can do free street parking available by the Durham museum.

Good news. Omaha Old Market is getting a makeover. In a few months a new park should reopen and construction zones will be gone. We need to solve problem with street parking. Some private parking companies request a credit card payment online through their unsecured hack-prone website. Need more safe ATMs or card readers. Need more good and affordable restaurants, seating outside. I would drive to the Old Market more often if it's more safe, clean, attractive, convenient parking, has more things to do and places to visit.

First time ever going to the Old market and actually having help with parking. I had to park the truck and trailer in the alley. Everybody there was very understanding and helpful. I'm very glad for the positive changes.

Bakers is the anchor store, there was a Hallmark store, a pizza pub,an Indian restaurant, a nail salon, my hair salon and then there are many many choices for restaurants around the edges.

Didn't get to try out any food, only tried the local favorite NE brewed beer and some coleslaw at the Mattress Factory 🏭 which is a cute name for the highest trafficked bar in the downtown Omaha area, they had a DJ outdoor party at night, and no time to take breaks in the day while providing prompt service throughout 2-3 or more rooms/sections. Staff was handling it wonderfully during the College World Series, which brings in all ages of patrons in groups generally ranging from 4-8, it seems. Found the sweetest leather shop I have ever browsed! There seemed to be a proper and wide range of types of shops and foods. No 2 businesses are the same flavor, lay that on cobblestone streets, add some water fountains to cool off, the occasional street musician, and multiple medias of art, and that's my style of recipe for "exactly what I was expecting" in a good way 👍

Kinda chill for a week day. Not much traffic. Some of the restaurants are over priced. A good place to perhaps take a date. If you have kids go to the zoo, and eat at Cheddar’s Restaurant.

THE staple of Omaha, the Old Market offers fine dining, hotels, shopping and street performers, all in a very well kept authentically beautiful district in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. La Buvette is difficult to beat if you love wine and an outstanding atmosphere. Omaha is growing, for sure, but the Old Market is still the best.

Kind of an odd place, but fun to explore for a couple hours, especially if you have a sweet tooth or an affinity for knickknacks. Enjoyed the pubs and Omaha Prime steakhouse too.

One of the best attractions in Omaha. Nearly all local shops, bars, and restaurants. A definite visit when downtown.

The food was fine, nothing mind-blowing or earth shattering. Food did come out quick, definitely a plus given that we were a party of 7.

I loved the area and how close everything was walking distance to hotel and offered a variety of places to eat and many little shops

This is a hallway between two buildings. It has some shops and galleries. It is home to a very nice upscale restaurant (V. Mertz) and one Mexican restaurant (Trinis). They both were closed when we went on a weekday afternoon. This hallway has decided to alienate professional photographers by not allowing them to use the facility.

Love everything about the Old Market.... The old slides are still down there and just as fun as when I was a kid! Great boutiques and specialty stores, restaurants and even a horse and carriage if you prefer to take a ride rather than walking! Love love love it all!!

Many holdover stores from the 70's. It felt like the 70's. Bought a cloth for my bed from India. Multiple stores. Touristy. Very nice mall probably early 1900's.

Such a great place, went to this store called the amazing imaginarium and it was actually amazing! The old market is probably the most unique shopping and dining area in the U.S.

Spent hours shopping in the cool and quirky shops. Fantastic eateries and shops. The homeless people in this commercial district needs to be addressed. Two scenarios where they verbally harassed shoppers.

My favorite place to take visitors to OMA. Even if you're just walking through, this awe-inducing enclosed alleyway is worth going out of your way for. It feels like the greenery of New Orleans meeting the charming sophistication of Melbourne. It's a quick 5 minute space to walk in and out of, but offers many shops and several eateries you can spend more time exploring. Definitely put this on your list - you won't be disappointed.

A quaint 1 1/2 blocks of boutiques and restaurants. You can't miss it if you're in Omaha. Clean streets and ample parking spots make this an attractive place for any type of tourists/visitors.

Leave the windswept hellscape of downtown for an enchanting walk down "elsewhere". Alright maybe I've oversold it a bit but this indoor old market area really is pretty cool. It's got a few good restaurants and cool little weird boutiques that my daughter/toddler loved sprinting like a maniac. This area is a MUST for any vacation travelers like myself who have a taste for cool architecture/culture and unique "Atlas Obscura" destinations.
